  15. >"Hi! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower!"
  16. "Crap, I forgot to turn off True Seeing- oh you poor kid. You didn't deserve that fate."
  17. >". . . What?"
  18. "Hold still, I think I can fix this. True Resurrection, Asriel Dreemurr."
  19. >"Wait, what are you--"
  20. "There you go! Rez saves the day again. Nice to meet you, Asriel."
  21. >"HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! HUMANS DON'T HAVE- HOW?!"
  22. "It's magic, I ain't gotta explain shit."
  23.
  24. Our arrival was, at first, not a thing of particular note. The Conspiracy stayed in raven form rather than being altered to this world's specifications, and Toriel was not particularly concerned that birds from the outside had chosen to come down through the opening to the world above, though they are what got her attention at first. She was much more concerned with the pair of eight year old human children who were sitting there among the flowers, talking to her panicked son who had abruptly been returned from the dead--
  25.
  26. "Actually, hold that thought. True Resurrection, Chara Dreemurr. Hey, Chara, nice to meet you."
  27.
  28. --along with her OTHER son who had been returned from the dead--
  29.
  30. "Oh, you must be Toriel. Hi! I've always been told it's rude to unexpectedly show up at someone's home without a present. We found a couple of lost souls, I think they belong to you."
  31.
  32. --and clearly these eight year olds were not just normal humans. Or perhaps they were, and simply no one realized that some humans could do this sort of magic? Either way, she was at a loss, before both the resurrected children leapt to their feet and ran to hug their mother, all of them crying in happiness and confusion.
  33.
  34. "Well, that's my good deed for the day. I vote that we take a vacation for a few years, what do you say, Demona?"
  35. >"I don't think I've ever actually been a child with you around. This should be interesting. But do I have to be human?"
  36. "Yeah, it's part of the way things work down here. Just don't try to hurt anyone, would you? You could actually kill them without meaning to."
  37. >"You are the walking undo button."
  38. "The point is not NEEDING an undo button."
  39.
  40. And so, a few minor home renovations later, we moved in with Toriel, befriended (and helped the minds of) Chara and Asriel, and otherwise mostly just hung out and annoyed people with childish antics for the years to come as we slowly got older. Then Frisk fell down and we adopted him on sight, too.
  41.
  42. Then we realized we were stuck in a time loop, thanks in part to Sans, and just kept running interference to try to make Frisk's existence as absolutely boring as possible. And... honestly, doing a little bit of harmless time travel to coordinate it, it worked a LOT better than I expected. Frankly, I was shocked.
  43.
  44. And then things resumed being normal, though the barrier remained intact. The decision had been made years before, word had slowly trickled down that the barrier protected the monsters from the humans as much as it did the humans from the monsters, and... though it was regrettable, never would the two worlds meet.
