  1. The ability to use magic is rare among the populace and appears to bear no genetical bias, instead appearing in people at random. The magi circles and Royal Magic Academy of the Wine-Dark Empire have long studied the advent of magic after Galoris, blessed be her name, gifted the knowledge of it upon our population. Magic needs mana to be utilized, which can be found naturally in Humans or springs. If a human runs out of mana and tries to do exhausting magics, his soul will burn out and he will die. Many mages use the souls of their enemies to fuel their magics when their own mana begins to run out.

  3. There are Seven magics that exist in the world, four of which being elemental and the remaining 3 being unclassified.

  5. Elemental Magics
  6. Fire
  7. Wind
  8. Water
  9. Earth
  10.  
  11. All of these magics can be used to produce effects that be seen occuring naturally throughout the world, hence being called “elemental.” Elemental Magics are divided between two genders, with men being able to utilize Fire and Wind, while women utilize Water and Earth. There is no known way to circumvent this.

  18. Unclassified Magics are poorly researched, and as such poorly known. These magics, whilst naturally occuring, seem to produce unique effects that dont exactly mimic what they do in the real world. These magics are not genderlocked, however they are unusable without the posession of a gemstone, which allows you to perform an single spell before requiring another gemstone.

  21. Gemstones play a vital role with magics. It is unknown why, but it is impossible to awaken magical ability without first ingesting a gemstone. They are associated with usually a specific magic, as listed below.

  31. Weave Magic
  32. Weave Magic is the mixing of two elemental magics, or one unclassified magic to achieve new effects and spells that can be unleashed. Currently, the weaves we know as of right now are listed below.

  35. Earth + Wind = Telekinesis
  36. Fire + Earth = Strengthening
  37. Water + Wind = Warding

  39. Light + Fire = Illusion
  40. Light + Water = Hypnosis

  42. Light + Earth = Fertility
  43. Light + Dark = Life
  44.  
  45. Dark + Fire = Oblivion
  46. Dark + Water = Corruption

  51. Life Magic: Lightning Magic
  52. A creation by Galoris herself, a mage could channel life magic directly through their soul and channel it out to strike down their enemies.

  55. Runes are a special way to circumvent the many rules and tribulations needed to use magic, instead forcing it into weapons and tools to help the user. Each rune imparts a unique effect upon the tool. Currently, we have no runes of our creation, instead opting to discover runes through artifacts. Currently, the RMA has collected the following Runes

  81. Mana Fountains are esoteric locations in the world where collections of mana springs forth from the depths and pool together, forming a pool. The most talented of mages can tap into these springs for god-like abilities and powers. If a weak mage attempts to use the pool, their soul is likely to be lost.

  83. Soul Reinforcement
  84. The Jaguar’s of the Sunset Imperium have a unique fighting style amongst their people to strengthen themselves, where they use special herbs to diffuse the mana in a man and then strip away layers of the soul, allowing it to grow back, scarred but stronger nonetheless.

  87. Many philosophers and magi circles believe that magics and gems can be associated with temperaments and behaviors found in a human, as listed below

  97. Attunement
  98. It is well documented that magics influence the emtions and psyche of the mages who use them. Their temperament begins to align with the magic. There is an event where, when a mage is pushed to extreme emotional distress under one of the aforementioned emotions, they will “attune,” becoming specially linked to a single magic, unable to use any other magic ever again. Attunement brings the risk of insanity due to the emotional stress placed on the mage, but in rare cases you can retain sanity, albeit quite emotional. Attuned usually have long lifespans, great power increases with their magic, and also take on physical aspects that can be expected of their magic (hair of flames/water, stone skin, etc.)

  100. Soul Bonding
  101. Apparently with a complex weave of base mana, a mage can borrow the attributes of one they have soul bonded with adding it to their own. Such as drawing upon a man’s strength, vitality, eyesight or dexterity. This does however drain the attribute from the one who is soul bonded becomes greatly reduced or crippled in that attribute till the bond is broken.
