While her parents were always out, she was out with friends and boys doing things she really shouldn't be doing. When she was alone, she would constantly hear these voices telling her that she was inadequate and that without attention from boys, she was nothing. She has a fear of inadequacy so this made her crave the attention of boys even more. She and her family moved to Korea when she turned 16 because they suddenly wanted to start a new life. When her parents found out that their daughter would throw herself at boys, they were horrified because they wanted to start a new life and there were already issues. They didn't know what to do with her until they found an ad for Memory Lake and so they made her go. Nobody knows this but another reason why she was always going out and flirting with boys was because she was lonely since her parents were always at work and she had no siblings to talk to.

Unless it was absolutely necessary, Daehee never lied to her parents and was pretty honest with them. She believes lying is toxic and will only end up blowing up in your own face.

She was quite lonely when she was growing up and was never truly happy but that is why she values friendship a lot.
