Sky lantern
   Sky lantern  is a traditional activity in Taiwan. People in Taiwan make Sky Lanterns rose into the sky to pray for wish and peace. Pingsi is a place where people go for the Lantern Festival in Taiwan. Every  January 15th in lunar calendar, you can see lots of sky lanterns set aloft in Pingsi, slowly rose into the sky. They write their hopes,  wishes, or words to commemorate their ancestors on the lanterns.
  In the past, the sky lanterns are used strategically for military purposes, such as making a sign telling the refugees that it is safe to go back to their home. Later on, after the raids ceased, this tradition of setting off lanterns is still preserved till now.
