Banda, who is a part of Vandalieu and shares the same personality, is someone with an overprotective nature and tends to favor people close to him. Therefore, regardless of whether it was regarding a trivial matter, it became unbearable for him to hear insulting words about them coming from someone like Rokudou, who is responsible for Mari's suffering and targeting Mei.

However, unlike Rokudou, who channeled death-attribute mana overflowing from his body to cast offensive magic, Banda remained composed and didn't lose his temper.

“Alright, I’ll leave Rokudou to you.”

"...So you were just going to provoke him and leave the rest to me. Well, I intended to do that from the beginning anyway."

Amemiya responded, countering the pale blue flames with a barrage of water-attribute magic. Rokudou's pale blue flames had no effect on the cold arrows and spears that lacked heat. However, Rokudou erected a barrier around himself before Amemiya's attacks could reach him.

"I am the real 'Undead'... I have mastered death-attribute magic even more than Amamiya Hiroto! I can use any magic he has used!"

As Rokudou screamed, his ‘Magic Absorption Barrier’ erased Amemiya's offensive magic.

"Damn it! ‘Life Light Sword’!" Amemiya clicked his tongue, frustrated by his failed attacks.

He created a blade that combined light and life attributes. It was a magic he had recently devised specifically for dealing with the remnants of 'The 8th Guidance'.

Previously, he could only use it momentarily from his hand, but now he could constantly use it and fight with it as a close-range weapon.

In a split second, Rokudou tried to defend himself by erecting ‘Magic Absorption Barrier’ like a shield, but Amemiya's sword, designed to counter death-attribute magic, effortlessly sliced through the barrier that could only function as a blindfold.

In terms of martial arts, Rokudou was on par with Amemiya, and now that his physical abilities improved with his transformation into ‘Ark Avalon’, he was slightly superior to Amemiya. However, in his current state where he was unable to move due to his lower body being trapped in the hole, he couldn't effectively counter Amemiya's sword.

Although far from being a fatal blow, Amemiya's sword left several deep wounds on Rokudou's body.

Amemiya clicked his tongue, as he was forced to keep his distance to avoid the poisonous gas. The Transformation Equipment created by Vandalieu offered some protection against death-attribute magic, but it was not sufficient to fully defend against the toxic gas created by magic.

In Lambda, such attacks can be dealt with by having Resistance Skills. As a result, the techniques to improve the inherent toxicity resistance of the Equipment were neglected and not thought of.

And at the same time, he noticed something else. There was someone lurking in the space right next to him, someone who had blended with the color of the walls and floor and concealed her presence by using ‘Metamorph’ - it was Mari.

Holding the Shockwave of Death in his hand, Rokudou intended to strike Mari, who had been hiding and waiting for an opportunity, with an enhanced punch infused with ‘Bloodshed Enhancement’.

If this punch were to connect, Mari, even with her ability to replicate vital organs using ‘Metamorph’, would rapidly lose her vitality and suffer a fatal blow.

However, it was not Mari who took the punch, but rather Banda, who had changed the color of his body using ink from the Demon King's ink sacs.

Banda thrusted his claws from four of his hands into Rokudou's shoulders and the back of his hands. Simultaneously, using a pair of his arthropod legs, he impaled Rokudou's feet and pinned them to the floor.

As Rokudou let out a muffled scream of excruciating pain, Mari, who had transformed into Banda using ‘Metamorph’, reverted back to her original form. In her arms, she held Mei and a dark red jewel.

"Puhaah! It was tough... It was hard to breathe, and my back hurts just by maintaining the posture... His structure is too haphazard. Right, Mama?"

"But, it's filled with nyoronyoro? There are many eyes."

The reason why Mari disguised herself as Banda and replaced him was to exploit Rokudou's assumption that Banda would not leave Mei. And Banda used this to launch an attack.

For that reason, he left Mei and Mari with the Demon King's treasure orb to perform ‘Mana Transfer’ on them, and stealthily approached Rokudou who was several tens of meters away.
