[DEAD]Prinz Eugen character breakdown, and our relationship!

Okay! welcome to my breakdown of Prinz Eugen's character, and of our relationship! im mainly doing this for myself and for my own purposes, but maybe somebody finds this to be really helpful, and it can give more insight into why i like Prinz the way that i do! excuse the the typing and grammatical issues as i try and talk about this. im just trying to get the info down, and work from there~

I think the best way to structure this is to start by listing out all of her lines, and trying to group them based on what they tell us about her! luckily Azur Lane gives me a lot to work with in this category, as every one of her skins grants us some new lines, and her Oath skin, or her marriage skin, gives us a good look at how she behaves and acts post marriage! that skin and the lines are actually a large part of the reason i like her so much, and why ive really grown to love her ^^

Prinz has 5 skins worth of lines
-Her default skin
-Unfading Smile (a beach skin i dont use on my refs, but is the only non-drunk characterization we have of her in her skins available to purchase)
-Profusion of Flowers (drunk Japanese new year Prinz)
-Cordial Cornflower (drunk German banquet Prinz. sensing a pattern?)
-Symphonic Fate (her oath skin!)
The default skin has the most lines as it covers her combat lines, affection lines, leveling and buffing lines, and the others just add a few more to it!
For convenience sake im listing all of the English lines even though i like the fan translated Chinese lines on some of her skins more.

For all of these im going to list when the line appears, the actual line, and then a slight breakdown of the line itself!

Default Skin
Self Introduction (the line that appears when you check her Biography. Essentially this is how she describes herself)
>I am Prinz Eugen, the miracle of the Third Reich and the third ship of the Admiral Hipper-class heavy cruisers. I will survive any battle, no matter how fierce. Luck? You sure have some guts.
So this is her bio! the miracle of the 3rd Reich is in reference to her very impressive service record, and the following line reinforces her survivability, but also the notable fact that she is one of the only major german ships that made it through world war 2. she is known as a lucky ship, but she hates that moniker, and views it as an insult. this sets up the interesting second part of her personality. her bitterness. she survived world war 2 only to be nuked by the us and left sunk in an ocean with no fanfare. she watched almost all of her friends and family and loved ones die including her sister hipper. shes gone through some deeply traumatizing stuff, which helps inform us why she drinks so much, and why she can act the way she does. including why she teases and makes jokes so often. its hard to take things seriously when youve lived through what she did.

Acquisition (when you first receive her as a ship this is how she introduces herself)
>Hmm... so you're the Commander? How long can you keep me amused? I'm looking forward to it.
some ships are impressed to meet you and launch into a long introduction about themselves and their battle records, Prinz does not, and she doesnt seem super excited to meet you. youre just another leader, and she doesnt jump to get attached because shes seen a lot of people, and she doesnt quite believe in this azur lane thing, but there is some small part of her that hopes for something different, and for things to change.

seems confused at the idea of you checking in on her, but appreciates it nonetheless. chances are she isnt used to that sort of thing, but as you later find out about how affectionate she is, i tend to view this line as an early indication that she really isnt used to affection, especially with such a tsun sister, which is why she over corrects to incredibly affectionate as she falls in love with you!

Secretary (Idle) 1

teasing and fun, but also shows her carefree and relaxed attitude.

Secretary (Idle) 2

speaking back to an earlier line, she really hates that moniker. her voice is serious and annoyed.

Secretary (Idle) 3
>Operation Rheinübung? Looking back, that was how it all began for me.
a moment of self reflection. this operation was one of her first, but also the fated sinking of Bismarck. Bismarck in game is seen as the leader of the Ironblood, or Germany similar to Nagato is the spiritual leader of the Sakura Empire, or Japan. the sinking of Bismarck, a ship she was close to, and her leader so early shaped a lot of her worldview, and her following service history. she seems to be aware of that fact, and pays homage to it. she seems almost apathetic at times tbh. she doesnt have a reason to hope, and seems to prefer to ignore her issues and mask them rather than trying to fix them even if she knows where they came from and what they are. (i love when anime warships call me out as well haha...)

Secretary (Touch) (touching her in a... non-special way)

slightly teasing but a little serious, and questioning. she's seeing what type of person you are, and testing you a little.

Secretary (Special Touch) (the special touch is exactly what you think it would be)

Yeah this is where a lot of her lewd depictions initially come from, and also highlights another aspect of her personality. she is lewd, and can be dominating as youll see in some of her later lines. she tends to take charge in a lot of ways.

she takes charge! she can be very hardworking, and the Ironblood ships are very suited for combat. this was her duty for a long time, and it still is, and she is very good at war.

joking and teasing, but still highlights why she was so decorated, and that she is very good at her job.

Defeat
>Hehehe... now you've done it...
Ironblood ships are edgy. this is an edgy anime line for sure, but also really indicative of her personality. in the end she still is joking and apathetic, which is sad to me. she takes life so un-serious because she has nothing. she doesnt have hope, and i think some part of her never believed she could be sunk.

Skill Activation

read the above about Ironblood ships being edgy, but as a warship who seems to only enjoy drinking she rides the high of battle as long as she can.

riding the high of battle, and interested when brought to the brink. she is a warship, and she enjoys war because it brings her pleasure and satisfaction

Affinity (Disappointed)
>Mind getting out of my sight? You're a bit of an eyesore.
its rare to see her being actually harsh and serious. the affection lines start at stranger, and you have to upset the girls to get them here. if you get her here she is as she always is. direct. she doesnt like you and doesnt want you around. she expected nothing from you and you proved that you bring nothing.

Affinity (Stranger)
>... I don't smile enough? Commander... care to see if you can make me?
so hearkening back to her introduction she doesnt really expect anything from you. she seems surprised that youve taken notice of her lack of smiling (which implies that she isnt happy), and wants to see if you can be the one to make her happy, and if youre willing to try. she wants to hope but has no reason to so kinda brushes it off while issuing you a challenge.

Affinity (Friendly)
>Commander~ I love you. Just kidding. Did your heart skip a beat?
as she starts to like you she becomes openly teasing! i like this one quite a lot for our relationship because i form those attachments and views quickly, and it would make my heart skip a beat! i think she enjoys seeing me blush and get flustered, but it also shows that i do care

Affinity (Like)
>Ich liebe dich~ is this a joke or the truth? Why don't you decide for yourself~
she goes from joking about loving you, and jk'ing quickly to openly telling you how she feels. this lets you make the decision about how YOU feel, but also fits into her directness and honesty. she is starting to feel happy and hopeful, but wants to make sure her efforts arent in vain and she wants you to decide how you want to take her feelings.

Affinity (Love)
>... Why did I laugh? Because it's funny to see you look so confused, Commander... This smile is truly from the bottom of my heart!
i really like this line. i imagine it as her looking at me while softly smiling, and then her seeing my confused expression and laughing. she really loves you at this point. she teases you lovingly, and is honest and direct about how she feels. she is happy and hopeful.

Pledge
>So this is the answer you're giving me? What shall I do? What a dense commander. I have long stopped being the empty person I was before. Did you forget that you were the one who changed me?
this is the line that plays at her wedding when you marry her. back to her like line, shes referencing the question she asked you. was she joking or telling the truth, and youve decided she is telling the truth. she teases you though by calling you dense. i imagine shes smiling at me while she calls me dense, and clarifies that the question she asked doesnt matter. she doesnt feel empty and hopeless anymore. she loves you, and you were the one who gave her hope and happiness. i really like this line, and at the wedding seeing her dress for the first time is a really truly sweet and loving moment. Prinz is a really cute sweet girl, and this represents how she has changed and grown! this, and the wedding dress characterization makes up Prinz as i love her the most! but theres a lot of very cute stuff to be had in our early relationship that ill break down later~

Hood was involved in the sinking of Bismarck, and even though they are in the same team now prinz doesnt buy hood's very elegant and nice appearance, and still holds some grudges

doesnt really care but also isnt one to ruin the fun time others are having

loving and teasing! shes direct about how she feels, but also jokes and teases you about it~

>Why do you feel a warm, tingling feeling inside, you ask? Well, I wonder? What I gave you were Valentine's chocolates. Isn't it obvious that the feelings of the person who made them would be conveyed by them? Feelings, such as passion, gentleness, and slightly melted love... Hehe~♡
i like this line because of how sweet and straight up into you and affectionate she is. shes very direct and teases you as always~

Okay so that was a lot! But lets talk about a few key parts of herself before she falls in love!

-Generally unconcerned, at worst this manifests into apathy, at best she's relaxed and chill
-depressed. at the very least she is very unfamiliar with affection and love, and is all to familiar with pain and loss. this manifests through her apathy and her often confused reactions towards basic kindness
Pretty simple basic character traits. ill refrain from the breakdown about her post-marriage/oath character until we've hit the oath skin, but this provides a base line! the other skins should help by furthering these character traits, and we'll look for common threads to maybe find new traits!

This is an interesting line. firstly it reveals a friendship she has with Prince of Wales, a Royal Navy ship who she fought against. it also seems to imply that theyre close enough for Prinz to take her suggestions seriously, and it shows that she is concerned with how people view her.

Another interesting line of hers. she cares about what other people think, and it furthers the lack of a real smile mentioned in the default skin. she wants to appear controlled and put together, and wants other people to not be concerned. she values YOUR input though. she cares about what you think.

i think just a neat line for artists, and kinda explains why she can look a little darker in this skin.

Shows that she cares for Wales again, and highlights their friendship that she has kept some of the Ironblood from messing with Wales even if Wales messes with Bismarck herself.

Secretary (Idle) 2
>Despite her devil-may-care attitude, Wales is actually quite reliable. In fact, she helps me all the time, even though we were once enemies...
She's affectionate and appreciative, and again talks about her friendship with Wales. i wish we had more of their relationship developed because i really think Wales helps her a lot. again she is surprised by the affection somebody else is showing her especially since wales used to be an enemy of hers in a rather severe way.

Secretary (Idle) 3
>I went and told Hipper about our beach day, and all she said was, 'Why do I need to be jealous about your thin, lewd, and non-combat-ready swimming suit?' Haha, that's so like her!
This line is interesting, specifically because of the voice acting because it sounds fake. Prinz normally seems unconcerned and apathetic but this skin specifically highlights quite heavily how she cares and relies on other people, and i think her relationship with her sister Hipper is a big indicator for that. Hipper is a hardcore tsun, but Prinz still cares about her and loves her. Prinz also had to outlive her sister. Prinz tells her about her plans at the beach in the hope Hipper comes along and enjoys the day with her, but Hipper being a tsun pushes her away. she talks about this and says it in a way that implies to me that i asked her about it, and her wanting to not worry me about it tells me about it in a joking way, and she tries to play it off cool but something about the VA work here makes me feel like Prinz is putting on a show, and that she actually cares a whole lot. maybe im just over thinking everything, but i truly feel like Prinz is a lot softer than she lets on, and appears not to care to spare herself from dealing with her issues and emotions. its something i know a lot about.

Secretary (Touch)
>Commander, have you seen Wales? That rascal, she ditched me again!
Again showing her care for Wales, but also that she cares about what people think about her.

Secretary (Special Touch)
>There are a lot of good things about Wales, but please avoid picking up her bad habits.
im surprised nobody ever got around to writing Prinz and Wales doujins just from this line alone. this is an interesting one though. in her default skin when you special touch her she fiends and becomes direct with you, but in this one she isnt really interested, and tries to push you off from this. honestly i think this beach day has been a really rough day for her, and while she's trying to appear calm and collected and unbothered she's dealing with a lot, and feels unwanted and uncared for. it makes sense why this is her first skin she got, and shes dead sober here, but in the future all of her skins she is drunk for when they involve social situations. drinking makes her feel better, and lets her ignore her issues.

>More mail? Any from Hipper or Bismarck? Ah, they're all for you, Commander... How boring...
She cares what others think, and she also craves contact from her friends and loved ones. she hopes for letters or communication from two of the most important people in her life but doesnt get any, and quickly tries to brush it off and move on.

This beach skin could have very easily been a simple lewd skin filled with sexual lines and teasing stuff, but it wasnt. it actually touches on a lot of the more quietly held and negative aspects of her personality, and gives her a life outside of the default skin. im quite glad to have this skin. lets breakdown what we have so far!

Very flirty and interested in you. youre going to start seeing the lewd side of her come out in force especially when she drinks. not being worried about social stigma, and not being depressed and worried about others means her directness can really come out

Teasing, but the VA does a good job with this one. it sounds like her teasing, but isnt as overt as the Touch line on this same skin, and has a hint of somebody whos concerned about what the commander thinks about her, and why she isnt receiving much mail. she still has the hints of sadness, but largely is able to mask that with drinking.

Well we went from sober Prinz, so get used to drunk Prinz now! this and the next skin will feel very different from her swimsuit skin. she no longer appears vulnerable, and feels a lot more aloof and unconcerned. thats because she is drinking. when shes drunk she no longer worries and fears and gets upset and depressed. she looks for simple pleasures and enjoyment. which is why she can act more lewd and direct about her interest in you as the commander. lets look at the traits we have now

-Likes to ignore her issues, largely and excessively through drinking, but also through other simple pleasures. i think it is safe to consider her an alcoholic at this point.

Teasing and drunk. her drunk lines are where a lot of the lewd self comes from. removing social inhibitions on somebody already lowkey fiending who also desperately desires intimacy and affection creates a uh... well you see.

Secretary (Idle) 1
>Compared to those other stuffy, teetotaling banquets, something a bit more... liberated like this one is much more enjoyable. Don't you agree, Commander?
More calm, but likely views this as liberated because she can get fucking faded.

Secretary (Idle) 2

i think a bit of her sad self poking through here. obviously shes teasing, but i dont think any answer you give her matters. it had been a while since her new years skin, and drinking isnt working as well as it once did. the VA includes a laugh after the question but it sounds forced to me. the tone seems to be a bit more serious when she asks you the first bit, and i really think shes looking for some assurance and validation, and then her drunk teasing self pushes past it and makes it into a joke and a game. its a test that she hurts herself by giving. she wont believe the personality answer, and the body answer will only serve to hurt her if thats what you answer. its kinda a manipulative strategy, but makes it a subtle sign of her slowly worsening mental health.

Secretary (Idle) 3
>The Sakura Empire's liquors certainly have a distinctive flavor, but when a girl wants to cut loose, it's gotta be one of the classics~
you know that feeling when you feel sad and miss the childhood you largely lost thanks to family issues so you go back and play old games to relieve those feelings but end up feeling more alone and empty than ever? prinz does.

Secretary (Touch)
>Pfft... You're just too cute when you act all bashful but still can't resist trying to ogle me, ahaha~!
this is kinda a weird line for me tbh. she likes the attention, and she likes teasing you, but something about it feels off to me? i cant quite put my finger on it but like.. it doesnt feel right. it almost feels like she's trying to convince herself of something? ive been taking a lot of leaps with a lot of lines, and i feel quite confident with those leaps but this line evades me.

Secretary (Special Touch)
>You~ lewd~ beast~ Ahahaha~!
this is the first new special touch line we have received from her since Unfading Smile, and it is interesting. i think prinz has some very subtle yan tendencies within her, and this line seems to show it just a little bit. it reminds me of her Default Skin Skill Activation line, like she's embracing this feeling and wants more of it quite badly, but it also utilizes her directness and teasing/playful side as well. an important notice is that her attitudes toward this sort of touch and interaction changed drastically. the past two skins have had no notice or mention of her friendship with Wales, and instead of brushing off this sort of touch she embraces it and wants more of it. imo i think shes pushed away all of the people that were close to her, and fallen deep into the depths of her problems and ptsd. she ignores them and fiends after you as the commander hard because if all these other girls can find hope in you, then maybe she can as well.

Return From Mission
>Come on, don't be so tense. Just let go and relax.
Comforting while also being teasing while also trying to spend time with you. affectionate and whipped for you, and tries to show that in a sweet way. this is a really cute and comforting line in a skin very filled with lewd.

Starting Mission
>Tsk... These fools need to learn how to read a room.
vaguely annoyed. she was having a good time, and the implication is that something pulled her away from the banquet. shes one hell of a warship, and her being annoyed and ready to fight likely isnt a good combination for anything in her path.

Alright so we got more drunk Prinz with this. not much more to add from the last skin, but one notable thing i find is that it seems she's fallen a lot deeper into the hole she has dug, and that even through the alcohol she still is struggling. she's definitely a lot more interested and fiending for you, or at least shes a lot more open with it, and she almost seems to be trying to force you into situations where you have to interact with her in the way that she wants you to. lets look at her key traits at this point.

Not super great, but when you dont have the desire to change and you have as many issues weighing you down as she does it can be nearly impossible to find the good in yourself. she needs a lot of love at this point, and she needs a reason to want to change. she cant find the desire to change for herself, and needs a push. she needs you. but all of this has a happy ending, lets finally look at her wedding skin

GFNJAOFNAOPKFJ OKAY SO TO START she doesnt display any hope or plans in the future at any point so far. when she first meets you she hopes that you can at least keep her entertained, and everything she has expressed is depressed. now she actually thanks fate and destiny, because despite all of the ways life has hurt her youve given her a reason to hope, and youve given her a reason to change. not just for her, but herself.

as if she doesnt tease you enough~ shes clingy and affectionate and very attached with you, but also slightly motherly and wants to make sure youre doing alright

Secretary (Idle) 3

this is the line that really made me love her, and also the easiest way to signify her change in character. she spends a lot of time hating that nickname. she HATES that nickname. lucky means nothing to somebody that watched everyone she ever loved or was close to die, and was finally treated as a target dummy by the nation that was supposed to care for her. everything she fought for failed, and everyone she fought with died. she hated being called lucky because nothing has ever gone right for her, and then she met you. youve given her such hope and love that the nickname that reminded her of every little thing that went wrong for her now reminds her of you, and what youve done for her. youve given her a reason to live, and a reason to feel lucky. shes my lovely pretty wife ^^

Secretary (Touch)
>I know what’s on your mind, Commander...but we need to focus on work right now.
Make of this line what you will, but a reminder of how she can be direct and focused. normally she doesnt care much for work, and her default skin line seems almost annoyed while slightly teasing, this one is soft and gentle while caring. shes gently encouraging you to do better for yourself, much like i imagine i was able to do for her.

This line reminds me that while she's gotten better, and she even though knows that shes yours and you are hers, she still worries and needs reassurance and affection, and that she is possessive and clingy even if she does her best to ignore those more toxic tendencies and be a better person. growth will always happen, and encouraging her growth and being there for her is the key. i love her.

Return From Mission
>Commander, the bathtub has been filled with hot water, so who goes first, or…?
Even as much as things have changed her affectionate and loving nature still exists. she still enjoys close intimate moments with you, and she really wants to stay clean!

So now looking at all different forms of Prinz, we have a few defining character traits that are present regardless of her mental state or situation

Prinz is

-Teasing and Joking (playful is probably a significantly better and more apt word to use)
-Affectionate
-Cares a lot
-lewd as hell (look ive been really hesitant about stating this trait on here but she is undoubtedly lewd and sexual. i mean fuck just look at her wedding skin. shes happy there and that's what she chooses to wear to your wedding. she's trying to "get it" as a friend of mine put it. part of loving your waifu is accepting all aspects of her, and i accept her very lewd traits, and i love her as a whole. that being said that lewdness is private and i still much prefer seeing wholesome/comfy/loving/sad of her)

When Prins is depressed and drunk she keeps these traits, but they are twisted and she receives new ones
-Direct and Dominating
-Teasing and Joking (manifests as passive aggressive tests. she jokes in ways that test you and always end up hurting herself, and she jokes about things that bother her, but jokes so it can make her seem like someone who doesnt care while also expressing her feelings. she is direct but also really is poor at expressing herself)
-Tries to be affectionate but comes across strongly and aggressive
-Cares a lot but masks it
-Drinks to avoid her issues, but generally tries to avoid them anyway possible.
-Depressed and lonely
-lewd as a means to get close to you.

When Prinz is happy and hopeful she keeps the same base traits, but they grow and she receives new ones
-Direct and Dominating
-Teasing and Joking (now does so in a loving and fluffier way. still does it to express her feelings and desires, but is much better about stating her feelings and being honest, rather than passive aggressive. she teases and jokes to express her love)
-Affectionate and very openly loving and clingy
-Cares a lot, and can sometimes come across motherly/a bit of a worrier because of it
-Hopeful and happy.
-lewd as an extension of her love for you

Okay so here's what I think. The Unfading Smile skin represents two distinct timelines and possibilities.
-On one end is the oath skin, she falls in love with you, you marry her, and she learns to face her issues head on, and she becomes happier and healthier as a result.
-On the other end is Profusion of Flowers and Cordial Cornflower. without the hope you give her she deepens herself in alcohol and drinking, and slowly grows more sad and bitter. while desperately desiring affection and love. she still really likes you and tries to be intimate and lewd with you in the hope that it makes you love her, and it also serves as a simple pleasure for her that makes her feel less empty and sad.

Part of the reason i think this is that none of the three skins have any additional love lines. Frequently Azur Lane will add new love lines onto skins to give a new view of the affection and love the ships have for you. Prinz has no additional love lines on her skins, which leads me to believe that she never really gets that deep love and hope she wanted, and that you and her have never grown that close which is why she drinks so much, and acts the way she does in those skins, and why there is such a STARK contrast in personality from Unfading Smile to Profusion of Flowers. that doesnt mean she doesnt have issues in the first skins, but she hasnt fell into such a deep hole with them yet.

HOWEVER THESE TIMELINES ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. she can get very low before getting better. you can always become a better person and find happiness no matter how low you get. Prinz is an example of that.

Part of the reason i view it like this is the chronological nature of her non oath skins. To break it down-
-Default Skin sets her base normal personality and helps define her and what she is like
-Unfading Smile shows us her first interactions outside of the default skin, and gives us a deeper look into how she really feels. and the issues she is struggling with.
-Profusion of Flowers gives us our first taste of drunk Prinz, and shows a deeply different tone and feeling from her Unfading Smile skin. she stops mentioning her apparently close friend Wales, she starts drinking, and her personality shifts drastically as she no longer worries so much about social stigma and pressures, and acts a lot more on how she feels
-Cordial Cornflower finally gives us a more desperate Prinz who has fallen deeper into the demon of drink. she acts a lot more boldly and direct because the alcohol isnt really working as well, and she really needs a reason to hope and move on. she is deeper into the hole, and is very firmly an alcoholic. she needs love.

Truthfully i like her second path more. i like her growing and changing with me and with love, and i think it makes the most sense. she wouldnt feel so lucky, and mention being an empty person if she wasnt already, and didnt suffer through a lot. she certainly wouldnt give you the credit for it if you didnt give her the hope and faith she needed to keep going. i love prinz. im glad to have seen her grow and develop.

Do i think Manjuu actually planned all of this out? no. i really doubt it, but i think it falls in a really good way to explain her behavior and personality, and shows a lot of progression (esp since im not entirely sure these skins actually came out in this order haha.....), and her oath skin shows where she ends up given the time and love she deserves and needs. So thats Prinz!!!

The Relationship breakdown!

The way i view our relationship is one of low lows and high highs. truthfully i didnt really like her that much when i started playing Azur Lane. slowly she grew on me, and i really grew to love her, and practically it would work the same. i wouldnt take too much notice of her, and as she started getting aggressively lewd while drunk it would make me really uncomfortable. im not good at expressing my feelings or going after my desires. likely i would get to know her because i would start to worry about her behavior and i would do my best to be friendly and supportive and loving towards her, especially with her seeming isolation and constant drinking. over time id fall pretty stupidly in love while trying to remain separate and give her encouragement to change for herself, and advice and love when she needs it. i feel like she would wait until i asked her out, but knowing my deep failure to read the room and hints it would take her being INCREDIBLY obvious before i finally pick up on it, but I like to think she would stay patient and wait for me to ask even if it is killing her that im so fucking oblivious. after that we stay very affectionate and loving. prinz still has a lot of issues and she would still be drinking at the start of our relationship, but i constantly push her to change for her own sake and not mine, while being patient and loving. she would make mistakes and try and push me away and do some shitty and manipulative things, but i forgive her and she grows and betters herself until eventually i propose to her and oath skin prinz becomes true! so to sum it up~

Early Relationship
-Very openly affectionate and loving
-Prinz still drinks and struggles with her ptsd and apathy but has stopped drinking as much, and i struggle with very similar things minus the alcoholism
-not very many outright happy moments. a lot of sad and angry moments, but patience and love slowly make things better.
-a tendency for both of us to walk away from our issues rather than trying to work them out and talk. we have a uh-- lot of problems at this stage but fundamentally we love each other, and we both love each other.

Mid Relationship
-Still incredibly affectionate and loving
-Prinz has stopped drinking, and she is generally happier, and ive been slowly progressing and growing as a person
-Still struggling sometimes
-still can be toxic and harsh, but we are generally a lot more cognizant of these things, and working to better ourselves
-We start becoming pretty openly clingy and attached
-a lot more cute moments here, and very typical early relationship stuff as we never ended up doing that stuff early in the relationship

Post Marriage
-Affectionate and loving are kinda hallmarks of our relationship at this point~
-Is able to drink responsibly, but she does so rarely and only for special occasions. she is responsible and i trust her. im a pretty happy and reasonable person at this point, and we are both not apathetic.
-she does have bad days and so do i, but they are few and far between
-Doting and caring. we both can worry about each other a bit too much for our own good sometimes
-very clingy and attached each other, we tend to draw passive strength off of being nearby each other, and as such long times spent away drain the hell out of us
-lots of very cute and loving moments here as we look at how far we've come, and plan further for the future we never thought we would have~

Dynamics
She's a much more direct and straight forward person than i am so she tends to be the one that initiates most everything, but i can be very in charge when need be! she tends to have a good time making fun of me and teasing me about things, and watching me get very flustered or reacting in very over the top ways. we both tend to be super affectionate and loving towards the other, but she really takes the cake when it comes to being super affectionate and clingy towards me! she often can embarrass me and make me feel flustered and confused with her relentless love and affection, and she enjoys seeing that embarrassment but is reassuring and comforting about it. she can be kinda "motherly"?? but generally calm and lets me make my own decisions even if she knows theyre not the best. the same thing applies to me with her though, where i can be very "dad"-like and worrisome about her, but part of a good relationship is trusting each other and letting each other do our own things! publicly she works very well at being the "face" of our relationship and being very confident and loving, but privately im a lot more openly loving and affectionate and sweet towards her!

A NOTE ON THE "TEASING"

So when i say that she is teasing, she tends to be so in a very specific way. she jokes about how she feels, and she will tease you about her feelings, and yours. alternatively she can also tease people based on their appearance or personality, notably when she teases her sister ship hipper about her being a tsun, or flat chested (although in game we only really see her tease hipper about her personality and not her physical appearance, and tbh teasing about physical features doesnt feel right to me, and doesnt feel like something she would do, but to each their own, and i could also be wrong about this. ill update with more info when i find it). she tends to only say accurate and true things, but masks them as jokes with her presentation. looking at her oath skin Symphonic Fate, we find her teasing to be ways of expressing her love for you. She wants a kiss so she turns it into a little joke and is playful with how she gets it. On the opposite spectrum when she's drunk and miserable and depressed her teasing and playfulness can be more forceful, and she tends to use it as a way to project her feelings without stating them. such as in Cordial Cornflower when she jokes about whether you like her body or her personality more. she really is insecure and worried about what you think, but she wont state that and doesnt want to concern you or worry you so she instead phrases it as a joke and a game. as i mention though it doesnt matter what answer you give. her teasing and playfulness turns into tests and can be emotionally manipulative. it also works as a semi safe way to express herself. if you take her serious and start to worry then she can double back to joking, and she wont be forced to reveal more than she is comfortable with. i hope that makes more sense, and its been hard for me to characterize her playfulness and teasing in a way that makes sense, and i feel this might be able to help out a lot.

I find it more apt to state that she is more "playful" rather than teasing. teasing you is just part of her general playfulness. maybe that helps!
