  1. After meeting the Queen for the first time, there was certainly a desire to learn storm magic further-- and with what the Queen had suggested, there was... Certainly a reason for him to travel extremely far away once more-- to find a natural storm..?
  2.
  3. Well, if Vanarya was going to tease him and deny him a storm-infused shock, he'd go looking for a natural storm to get struck by. It brings him towards Asena's bloom-- the boy himself feels tired as he bounds around.
  4.
  5. ... Surely, the same person he always saw would be here. The Darude searches around for a bit. There weren't any storms that he could see in the skies, and therefore.. His quest was on pause!
  6. (Zephyr)
  7. Months of culminated training, with the help of his spriteling Olasse, the boy has begun his training in pursuing similar strengths as his father. It seemed as if the two finally had found common grounds in the fact that they idolize the spriggan's maker, at least in a more casual sense and not one that seemed too unhealthy. Thus the duo was at work for almost every other day. Of course everyday training was boring to Rowan, but to Olasse it was a waste, bugging the boy multiple times to stray away from his childish antics and back to training, which he so playfully denies.
  8.
  9. The boy was fairly mixed with the spriteling. In one sense, he was a bother that could not be stopped, pushing the boy away from fun multiple times to the point that the two would argue in a very weird manner to those without context as the boy seemed to argue with himself. On the other hand, Olasse has given the boy input on his growth and training, telling him places to improve on and such. It was a fairly bittersweet relationship between the two.
  10.
  11. And thus, one cloudy afternoon, the green-haired boy would be seated by the Bloom, taking the time for him to have some time for himself as a small notebook sat on his legs as he drew on it a visage of the pond. He has gotten a knack for drawing and seemed to be improving very well in the art. More realism has been put into his sketching as he now understood shading and applying lighting techniques. As he flipped the pages, multiple drawings of the Bloom in different angles would be noted on the pages as a yawn from his spriteling would tease him. Though he was right.
  12.
  13. Standing to his feet, Rowan would begin to stroll by the lake, hoping to find something new to draw or anything interesting really. Anything to pass the time. . . that wasn't training (which Olasse sighs at). It was then the boy would eventually find his wandering sarradian friend, back for another visit. Putting up a grin, he approaches one of the few people left that he tolerates with how interesting and cool they are.
  14.
  15. "Hi there! Haven't seen you in a while!"
  16.
  17. He'd call as he raises his arms and waves at the white-haired Zephyr.
  18. (Rowan)
  19. It seemed that he had finally found the half-spriggan-- and with that, he approaches after a few seconds of staring. Rowan remembered him, so that was good-- his visits, after all, were rarely frequent-- this must've only been his third time visiting, and it had certainly been quite the time. Either way, he grins.
  20.
  21. "Helloooo, Rowan!! Am have been very busy. Are doing important things with magic." He explains, briefly. "Learning how to do the storm things, and are looking for a thing." He says. He looks around once more.
  22.
  23. "... Are doing the magic still? Was very good at the water stuff last time was here." He questions-- he flings out random questions, hoping for an answer...
  24. (Zephyr)
  25. Eager to show his friend the progress he has made throughout the years, the boy shines a toothy grin as he raises an index finger at the sarradian.
  26.
  27. "For sure. Watch this cool thing I learned."
  28.
  29. As the boy parted those words, his finger was moved as his entire hand and palm is now open and facing upward. Focusing his mana quite sharply at the focal center of his hand, a slow and cool breeze would begin to form around the two kids, ripples on the Bloom's surface begin to move as the wind grows larger. A spurt of water is formed on his palm as it slowly begins to rise. As the water floats upward, it begins to freeze in place! Slowly forming a shard of ice, floating on the boy's palm. By the time it was fully formed, he would smile as the winds stop and the ice shard is not complete. The boy can do it more instantaneously and faster, but he just wanted to make things look cool.
  30.
  31. "Pretty cool huh?"
  32.
  33. He'd ask in a fairly prideful manner as his spriteling chimes in to his head.
  34.
  35. 'Don't get ahead of yourself kid.'
  36.
  37. Which leaves the boy in a bit of an annoyed stance, but nevertheless.
  38. (Rowan)
  39. With the demonstration given by the boy, the Sarradian watches on with a tad bit of excitement-- there was something interesting to him about watching other people do their magic-- in fact, Vanarya's demonstrations when he was far younger is partially what drove him to try and learn storm magic, if not for the constant questioning of Rosalie -- when would he learn a new magic?
  40.
  41. Well, he'd picked up a few... Regardless, he claps when Rowan's finished! Ice magic-- something that he could probably do if he wanted to, however, there was currently no desire to...
  42.
  43. "Ooh, is the ice magic -- is, um, like cool!" He explains, before chuckling at the shitty pun. Afterwards? He speaks once more.
  44.
  45. "So knows how to do the wind and the water magics, hmm?" He questions. "... Needs to learn how to do the winds again." He murmurs. "Does know any of the cool things for learning it?" He questions-- ah, it's come to this once more...
  46. (Zephyr)
  47. "Oh well, um. . ."
  48.
  49. He quickly turns and huddles his mouth as he tries to garner any semblance of help from Olasse.
  50.
  51. "Hey, any tips?" He whispers.
  52.
  53. 'My tutoring is for you and you alone.'
  54.
  55. Great. It's when he wants him to talk when he shuts up. He needs to have a long talk with him after all this. Thus he quickly turns around with his finger in the air, making him look as if he's been thinking about it and has managed to reclaim how he learned it. In reality, he technically 'learned' it when a ghost scared the living hell out of him, but that's a memory he doesn't like to go back to.
  56.
  57. "So, uh. . . first you gotta be, uh, cool! Yeah, you gotta be cool!"
  58.
  59. This is going very poorly. The boy's little understanding to the detailed inner workings of mana circuits and magic is fairly showing at this point, yet he does manage to pick up a certain important detail from his ghostly encounter which 'awakened' his powers.
  60.
  61. "Oh! I remember I was really really scared one time. But then when I was scared, it was so easy to do the wind and plant magic thingies. Maybe if you're scared you'll get stronger?"
  62.
  63. Very crude in explanation, but he wasn't really wrong at all. Just lacks parts. A whole lot of parts.
  64. (Rowan)
  65. With a seemingly awkward silence (actually the boy not knowing about a spriteling within the boy...), the Sarradian stares for a few moments before it seemed that Rowan would give... Perhaps the worst advice ever, as it didn't make a lot of sense to him. Either way, perhaps he would try and give some insight on what he was doing anyways.
  66.
  67. ... As such, he planned to try and work with his wind magic later-- perhaps he'd ask Rosalie for help with it, or Caerus... Learning how to fly wouldn't be a bad idea.
  68.
  69. "... Hmm, does not make much of the sense to me... But thanks. Maybe if is scared, will master the wind magic." He ponders, staring.
  70.
  71. "... Does know when thunderstorms happen? Or WHERE lots of thunderstorms happen?" He then asks-- Vanarya had recommended it, so it was his next course of action.
  72. (Zephyr)
  73. The boy's finger would rise to stroke his chin as he looks upward, thinking of any place of decent rain at this time of year. The Wychwoods wasn't devoid of rain, getting fairly strong showers during the summer. Although not much thunder and lightning, maybe occasionally.
  74.
  75. "Hmm. It rains here sometimes, but there's only a bit of the thunder stuff when it does. Although I do hear loud thunder sometimes over this side."
  76.
  77. He points west-ward, where the forest ends and the ocean begins.
  78.
  79. "But other than that, no. It's very cold here sometimes though."
  80.
  81. He chimes as a form of consolation information. The boy wasn't very bright when it came to things like this, mostly going off his gut instincts and the rest he just assumes. Living in a rural place like the woods has its perks and weaknesses after all.
  82.
  83. "Why do you want to find thunder though? Do you think that stuff's cool? Sometimes when it rains, I see a bit of it in the sky. It's really really loud though, it made my sister cry once."
  84. (Rowan)
  85. He frowns when told that there wasn't much thunder-- that it was truly rare in this region..! He had intents with a thunder storm, even if they were very dangerous. He had plans with it-- and he'd definitely tell Rowan about them since he was here, and there wasn't anything he could do to stop him about them anyways!
  86.
  87. "... Am see, not much here. Am needs to find thunderstorm so can sit in it. Queen in Alteros says can learn best from it." He declares. There's a brief pause before he elaborates, awkwardly.
  88.
  89. "... Or, says should get struck by thunderstorm lightning. Then try to channel power. Would be easiest way to learn, Queen said. So am looking for thunderstorms, so can be shocked by one and learn storm magic better." He declares quickly.
  90.
  91. ":)!!!" He grins!!
  92. (Zephyr)
  93. Sitting. . . On thunderstorms? The boy has never heard of such a feat before, but it has greatly interested the spriggan as his rosy pink irises dilate when his eyes widen by the description of such a task.
  94.
  95. "That's. So. . . Cool!!"
  96.
  97. The boy becomes giddy. He's done and seen a few cool things, but this was probably one of the few things that peak his interests. Although a certain voice in his head says other-wise.
  98.
  99. 'Don't do it. Lightning is dangerous and will ki-'
  100.
  101. "Can I help?"
  102.
  103. He cheerily asks as the spriteling sighs even deeper in his head. In theory, this sounded fairly dangerous, especially for a vulnerable kid like him, yet the allure of seeing Zephyr sit on a thundercloud has caught the boy's interest greatly.
  104.
  105. "I can go look for storms in the forest! I'll write you letters if I find one. I get around the forest really fast. Like this."
  106.
  107. The boy's hands would then extend, pointing to a nearby tree branch as vines would quickly grow out from his palms and wrap around onto the tree, pulling him upward to the branch.
  108. (Rowan)
  109. The boy himself grins at Rowan as he tries to offer his help.. He's actually not very sure how effective that could be, since it would mean he'd have to drop everything and get to the Bloom within a few hours if they were to find a storm here..! But maybe it was worth it-- if not, he could visit his friend once more at the least.
  110.
  111. "... Is good idea. Am learning lots of the storm magic already. Can fly on clouds kind of, can make clouds, and other cool ... Storm-y things!!" He exclaims. As he watches Rowan basically grapple-hook himself using nature magic, the Sarradian can only chuckle. "Hehe, is neat.." He giggles-- before stopping.
  112.
  113. "So, sends letters to 'Bygone Garden' if finds storms that will be for long time to me, okay?"
  114. (Zephyr)
