  20. CDC: [> Inspect environment.]
  21. ?AO: You're on your ship, of course.
  22. ?AO: Cyan's just sort of sticking the backup engine parts back into place.
  23. ?AO: She is way too good at that shit, you swear.
  24. CDC: [> Timeskip roughly 85 minutes.]
  25. ?AO: That isn't how reality works.
  26. CDC: [> Fine, doze off. And set an alarm for 85 minutes.]
  27. CAU: >Do surgically-created gems require sleep? Legitimate introspective character-type question here.
  28. ?AO: This is a fascinating question.
  29. ?AO: Given the fact that you've been a gem for about a day and a half, you can't say you have an answer.
  30. CSE: if the gem is a construct then by 3.5 rules: no.
  31. ?AO: Anyhow, what shall you do to pass the time?
  32. CDC: [> Ignore this blathering. Try gazing out a window or porthole.]
  33. ?AO: You gaze out a window.
  34. ?AO: Ah, the infinite blackness and lack of all shape that is the Void.
  35. ?AO: You get lost in the nothingness for a while.
  36. CDC: [> Wonder if there are any eldritch horrors out there.]
  37. ?AO: Chtmu'.
  38. ?AO: Thoughts of the Amalgam Interface draw you out of your gazing.
  39. ?AO: Something is certainly up with it.
  40. ?AO: You don't quite know what that is, but there's no time like the present, you suppose.
  41. CDC: [> Investigate.]
  42. ?AO: You pull the thing out. It is the same as ever.
  43. ?AO: Would the uninitiated desire a recap?
  44. CPP: Too much to recap
  45. CPP: Way too much.
  46. ?AO: No, of the device.
  47. ?AO: Not of the past.
  48. CDC: [Such a recap would be beneficial.]
  49. CPP: uh... DC, seems to be the only participating.
  50. CPP: Okay, just a question.
  51. ?AO: Amalgam Interface: A rectangular stone tablet approximately six inches in length, and four in width. On either half is an amethyst holographic projector, met in the middle with the visage of three fuchsia dots, the central one of which is filled with two navy hashes.
  52. ?AO: Ask away.
  53. CPP: !s there any particular reason you've stopped using DTGAO?
  54. CPP: Like, the memo #DTGAO
  55. ?AO: It was the idea of the blue fellow.
  56. CTG: because 7x7 is done
  57. ?AO: Not of the amethyst mage.
  58. CTG: he was using it on another memo because 7x7 was going on
  59. CPP: Oh
  60. CPP: okay
  61. CDC: [I sort of feel like I should make a memo for PR1ME when I start that up.]
  62. CPP: Yeah, probably.
  63. ?AO: ((In all seriousness, though, you're all welcome to participate in this thing. Just one person isn't exactly a party.))
  64. CUT: Sure. I guess.
  65. CPP: Yeah, again, !'d be completely lost.
  66. CDC: [> Wonder where the Interface got its name.]
  67. CDC: [It isn't really that much of an Amalgam.]
  68. ?AO: You haven't any idea yourself. It was just projected into your mind, as per usual.
  69. ?AO: Thanks to your gem.
  70. CAC: >Use it?
  71. ?AO: You press your fingers around the object.
  72. CUT: (What is this whole gem thing inspired by, dc?)
  73. ?AO: The central fuchsia bubble with the navy hashes within sinks down slightly.
  74. ?AO: ((The gem stuff is all inspired by Copper Star, if you recall.))
  75. CUT: (Steven Universe. And what can gems in Steven Universe do?
  76. CAC: >Have Cyan touch it too
  77. CTG: this is split, i took over twin's computer so i can play tf2. can someone ban tyrannical gradient for me so i can log back in on that account?
  78. ?AO banned CTG from responding to memo.
  79. ?AO: Not so fast.
  80. PTG, CTG ceased responding to memo.
  81. ?AO: The holographic projectors spring to life.
  82. ?AO: An amethyst screen is emitted from either end, each bearing the sign of a hand.
  83. CPC ceased responding to memo.
  84. PAST tyrannicalGradient [PTG] 2 MINUTES AGO responded to memo.
  85. PTG: thanks
  86. CDC: [Touch one of the hands and see if it does anything.]
  87. ?AO: The moment your hand sinks into the symbol, you feel an all-encompassing warmth enter your being. The fuchsia dot on your end of the device glows slightly.
  88. CUT: Ask Cyan to place her hand on the other symbol.
  89. ?AO: She stops repairing the backup engine to do so. "What? Oh, okay. I guess?"
  90. ?AO: The hands both slide to face the center of the device the instant Cyan sticks her hand in. A mixture of classical and dupstep lightly comes forth from the thing.
  91. CDC: [..............]
  92. CSE ceased responding to memo.
  93. ?AO: *dubstep.

  98. PTG: ((nice))
  99. ?AO: You both start dancing, Cyan mildly warily for a few seconds.
  100. ?AO: Congratulations. It turns out the Mystic Coin thinks you aren't shit at dancing.
  101. ?AO: As you get into it, the both of you notice a warmth coming from within.
  102. ?AO: Then, soon enough, everything is white. You close your eyes.

  118. CUT: "What happened?
  119. ?AO: "I don't know! You're seeing the same thing I am, right?"
  120. ?AO: It takes approximately three seconds more for the both of you to realize you are speaking from the same mouth.
  121. CDC: [> Come to terms with your new form of existence.]
  122. CAC: Yeah, I don't know anything about weird gem stuff...
  123. ?AO: Surely this isn't permanent.
  124. CUT: >Make an effort to separate.
  125. ?AO: You could always punch yourself in the face until you separate.
  126. ?AO: But, if you'd rather just do it manually, that's fine too.
  127. CAC: >Do it
  128. CPP: leaving until Piono Plays is finished uploading
  129. ?AO: You feel an acute tearing sensation with the turmoil within yourself, and you find yourself lying on the ground, Cyan next to you.

  135. CAC: Woah, that took a while.
  136. ?AO: Would you like to retrieve the Amalgam Interface?
  137. CAC: >Yes
  138. ?AO: You were in that trance staring out the window for quite some time.
  139. ?AO: You take it back.
  140. CAC: Ah...
  141. ?AO: Might make for some good utilization in the future, you'd say...
  142. ?AO: Wink.
  143. CAC: What
  144. ?AO: Nothing.
  145. ?AO: What would you like to do now?
  146. CAC: >Cyan: Resume fixing backup engine

  170. CAC: >Or, when you woke up anyways
  171. ?AO: When you last woke up, Cyan had just reformed, and been stuck in your ship for six hours.
  172. ?AO: You'd estimate it has been around eight hours since then.
  173. CAC: >List rooms on ship
  174. ?AO: You've got the deck, the hall, the engine room, the backup engine room, and the storage room.
  175. ?GG: damnıt why couldn't ıkea be a prınce
  176. ?GG: then I could call hım "purrınce ıkea"
  177. CAC: Hmm
  178. CCA: ((what the fuck is this, tf2 is getting constant lighting glitches))
  179. ?AO: Cyan walks out of the backup engine room, oil stains on her clothing. "I fixed it. That landing was pretty terrible to have done that much to that thing."
  180. ?AO: She grins. "So, nice work."

  255. ?AO: Regardless, you're here.
  256. CAC: >Examine emptied murder-
  257. CAC: >Scan sector
  258. ?AO: It appears that the Nu Sector is composed of a singular floating landmass, primarily forest-based.

  261. CAC: >Go
  262. ?AO: You land on the outskirts.

  269. ?AO: There appears to be some sort of repulsion generator in the center of the island.
  270. ?AO: It'll keep you from just flying over the center.

  281. CAC: Didn't you say we could install the things earlier
  282. ?AO: I did indeed.
  283. CAC: Is upgrading something different or
  284. ?AO: No.
  285. CAC: Okay...
  286. ?AO: The only question here is whether or not you have the technological capabilities to do so out here in the wilderness.
  287. CAC: Ah...
  288. CAC: >Ask Cyan
  289. ?AO: She considers it for a few moments.
  290. ?AO: "I'd have to probably clear out a few of the auxiliary sockets, which would require a good amount of elevation shifting.

  292. ?AO: "I suppose I could do it here, if we can get that."
  293. CAC: >Have no idea what that means
  294. ?AO: You just sort of blink at her confusedly.
  295. ?AO: Cyan whispers into your ear. "That's a no."
  296. CAC: >"...ah."
  297. CAC: >Head towards the centre of the island
  298. ?AO: You both march into the vegetation.

  302. PTG: why do i fucking suck as sniper
  303. CAC: landing*
  304. ?AO: The sensors show that the repulsor generators make that virtually impossible.
  305. ?AO: You'd have to be fucking Han Solo to pull that kind of maneuver off.
  306. CCU: TG: You haven't gotten gud at sniper. That would be what Cranky tells you.
  307. CAC: >Are you han solo?
  308. CCU: Take his advice to heart and you too shall succeed.
  309. CCU: :msp:
  310. ?AO: You are not Han Solo.
  311. ?AO: Han Solo is a fictional character.

  316. ?AO: Then again, they could be a deathtrap.
  317. CAC: ...
  318. CAC: >Enter the ruins
  319. ?AO: You both step over some hunks of shattered stone coated in ivy, and descend down the stairs into the depths.
  320. ?AO: The world below is a maze of underground tunnels, it seems.
  321. ?AO: Who knows what lies within.
  322. CAC: >Look around
  323. ?AO: You are currently beneath what appears to be a large tree, given the roots in the ceiling.
  324. ?AO: There's nothing particularly interesting down here. Just two exit paths, and that puddle of mercury over there.
  325. CAC: >Examine puddle
  326. ?AO: You walk over to the puddle.
  327. ?AO: As if in response, the thing rises up, forming a vaguely arachnid shape.
  328. ?AO: You are accosted by a FLUID SPIDER.
  329. CAC: >Fight

  334. ?AO: Are you sure electricity wouldn't be more effective?
  335. CAC: Hmm
  336. CAC: Do we have any?
  337. ?AO: Yes. The whole electrokinesis deal.
  338. CAC: Didn't you say we need a source of electricity
  339. ?AO: Surely you've got something in your inventory.

  342. ?AO: CYAN INV: δ-ψ-φ-Bioschema, Deactivated Vitae Canister, Medkit x3, Gluon Destabilizer x2.
  343. ?AO: The welding equipment will certainly function in the electricity department.
  344. CAC: >Cyan: Take laser pointer from azure, use it to send electricity at the spider
  345. CAC: Oh.
  346. ?AO: That works too.
  347. CAC: Does amount matter
  348. ?AO: Not substantially enough to matter.
  349. CAC: Alright.
  350. CAC: >Do that then
  351. ?AO: You pull up your condensed water shield.
  352. ?AO: Cyan manages to hit the Fluid Spider directly in the center of its body. Mercury is rather conductive. The spider shudders, sparks racing down its form.
  353. ?AO: ENEMY TURN.
  354. ?AO: Opponent is paralyzed, and cannot act.
  355. ?AO: YOUR TURN.
  356. ?AO: ASSAULT / UTILIZE / DEFEND / ABSCOND / OBSERVE

  396. CAC: >Open
  397. ?AO: The five large crates yield a full meteorite, three hunks of broken machinery, and a full human skeleton.
  398. CAC: Well

  404. CAC: >Take cubes
  405. ?AO: You mean the oaken crates?
  406. CAC: Oh...
  407. ?AO: You cannot exactly carry these.
  408. ?AO: They are quite large.
  409. ?AO: You have yet to examine the smaller crates.
  410. CAC: >Open small crates
  411. ?AO: The first one has a few bottles of water.
  412. ?AO: The second... the second has something quite interesting indeed.
  413. CAC: >Examine?
  414. ?AO: It is a Draught of Tears. You cannot examine it further without taking it.
  415. CAC: >Take, then examine
  416. ?AO: Draught of Tears: A corked vial of rose quartz, filled with some sort of unknown substance. You haven't any idea what this thing does. That which is dead can eternal lie, o'er altar grave and incensed sky.

  423. ?AO: You take out the topaz gem.
  424. CAC: >Take bottles of water first
  425. ?GG: >pour some tears on topaz
  426. ?AO: +2 Bottles of Water.

  453. ?AO: It is not.
  454. CAC: >Forward
  455. ?AO: You head onwards.
  456. ?AO: Before you get much further, you can hear the sounds of plasma on flesh and energy blasts in the distance.
  457. ?AO: Just down the hall...
  458. CAC: Huh...
  459. CAC: >Bring up shields, press forward
  460. ?AO: You do so.
  461. ?AO: You pop out in the bottom of a ravine filled with vegetation.
  462. ?AO: You can clearly see an armored form battling what appears to be goblins with energy rifles.
  463. CAC: >Is the armoured form that guy from last time
  464. ?AO: You both crane your necks to see.
  465. ?AO: That is indeed the Venator.
  466. CAC: >Consider if he needs help
  467. ?AO: In response, you see him decapitate four goblins with one sweeping strike.
  468. CAC: >How many goblins are therr
  469. CAC: There
  470. ?AO: Not counting corpses, fourteen.
  471. CAC: >Watch
  472. ?AO: The Venator impales a goblin through the chest, using the body as a shield from another goblin's plasma rifle, before promptly impaling that one as well.
  473. CTG: >goblins
  474. CTG: top kek.
  475. CTG: more HLD references, good nice
  476. ?AO: Hah.
  477. ?AO: He then tosses down a round object, and leaps back, in your direction.
  478. ?AO: A spray of blood from the location of the goblins is your only response.
  479. ?AO: This guy is a badass.
  480. ?AO: Anyhow, the Venator just sort of walks back to the other end of the ravine, sheathing his weapon.
  481. CAC: >Approach him?
  482. ?AO: You do so.
  483. ?AO: ((Fuck. /AFK. I'll be back soon, but you guys can do whatever, I suppose.))

  489. CTG: meowdpack.
  490. ?AO: The Venator does not really look at you, in any manner whatsoever.
  491. ?AO: In fact, he seems more focused on a slate door with a single pentagonal carving in the center.
  492. ?GG: alex ıs wearıng a stethoscope, rıght?
  493. ?AO: Please enter command.
  494. CAC: Hmm
  495. CAU: twin i am scurred

  497. CAC: >Loot energy rifles, watch him
  498. ?AO: +18 Plasma Rifles.
  499. CTG: AU: ?
  500. CAU: A chamber 3 boss.
  501. ?AO: He appears to be muttering to himself, letting out an occasional nasty hacking cough.
  502. CAC: >Stay some distance away
  503. ?AO: "Surely it isn't the Sanguine lock. The last time I saw that was at the eldritch Lambda Manufactory. Alas."
  504. ?AO: He runs a finger around the inside of the carving, noting the internal marks and slits.
  505. ?AO: Then, he looks over to the two of you. "Oh, yes. Good evening."
  506. CAC: >"... You too"
  507. ?AO: "You'll want the door on the right. Similarly, the gravestone altar requires three pools of the Rose Liquid, with two burnings of a blessing and a curse."
  508. ?AO: He gestures to another door on the other side of the ravine.
  509. CAC: Hmm.
  510. CAC: Was the Rose Liquid the stuff we skipped?
  511. ?AO: Ask him.
  512. CAC: >Ask him what Rose Liquid is
  513. ?AO: "You're the ones with it, no? Bodily fluid sealed away in the quartz from whence it likely came."
  514. ?AO: "Tears, saliva, whichever it may be."
  515. CAC: Oh...
  516. ?GG: what should demonıc_da_vıncı
  517. CAC: >"Thank you. "
  518. ?GG: be as a cat pun
  519. CAC: >Enter right door
  520. ?AO: The Venator pulls out an object akin to the bloodstone device he kicked over to you back in the Psi Sector.
  521. ?AO: He distractedly waves a goodbye as he slides the thing into the pentagonal carving, unsealing the door.
  522. ?AO: You enter the other door he gestured to.
  523. ?AO: Shall you head onwards?
  524. CAC: >Yes
  525. ?AO: You march into the depths. The topaz gem's heat begins to grow somewhat unbearable.
  526. ?GG: TG
  527. CAC: >Put in on the ground, wait
  528. ?AO: You pull out the gem. The thing is actually glowing from the heat. You set it on the earth before you.
  529. ?AO: The thing pulsates with energy thrice, before rising into the air.
  530. ?AO: Orange light flows forth, forming the vestiges of a body.
  531. ?AO: The form glitches out, morphing in thin air.
  532. ?AO: The energy begins to subside...
  533. ?AO: Then, it forms back into a humanoid shape, solidifies, and drops somebody to the floor.
  534. ?AO: They begin gasping up the air as if it were some sort of elixir of life.
  535. CAC: >Is it some bird man
  536. ?AO: It is not some demented bird man.
  537. ?AO: It's the girl from earlier.
  538. CAC: >"... Are you okay?"
  539. CTG: TG: Meowmonic da vinci?
  540. ?AO: She gulps up more air, attempting and failing to sit up. "Do... do I look okay?" She coughs violently.
  541. CAC: >Help her up
  542. ?AO: You pull her up. In doing so, you can feel the intense bodily heat she possesses. Unnaturally high. "T-thanks."
  543. CAC: >"What's your name? "
  544. CAC: /brb
  545. ?GG: hm
  546. ?GG: that works
  547. ?AO: She thinks about it for a second, a horrified expression gradually settling on her face. "I... I don't know."
  548. ?AO: She hacks up what appears to be a mixture of blood and ash.
  549. CCU: is crystal here?
  550. CAC: >"Are you hurt?"
  551. ?GG: yyyyes
  552. ?GG: UT
  553. ?AO: "I feel like I'm... on fire?"
  554. CAC: Hmm.
  555. CAC: >"Mind if I, uh... Try to cool you down? "
  556. ?AO: Cyan looks over to you. "Should we bring her back to the ship?"
  557. CAC: >"Probably. "
  558. ?AO: The girl shrugs. "How?"
  559. ?GG: splash her ın the face
  560. CAC: >"Water. "
  561. CAC: Pretty much tbh
  562. ?AO: "Oh, um. Sure. I guess."
  563. ?AO: And that's as far as she gets before she collapses down onto the ground again.
  564. ?AO: "Fuck. Ow."
  565. CAC: >Splash some water on her
  566. CAC: >Then bring her back to the ship
  567. ?AO: You splash water on her. It has no real effect. Well, her form does glitch out entire for a few seconds afterwards, but you'd attribute that to the chip in the gem rather than the water.
  568. ?AO: *entirely.
  569. ?AO: You and Cyan carry her back to the ship.
  570. CAC: Should probably have turned on Strangelove earlier...
  571. ?AO: You can do it once more, of course.
  572. CAC: >Do so
  573. ?AO: "HELLO, MASTERS LAPIS AND AMARANTHINE. WHAT IS IT YOU DESIRE."
  574. CAC: >Motion at... Nameless girl
  575. ?AO: "AH, YES. OF COURSE. PLEASE STAND BY."
  576. ?AO: Strangelove floats over to the girl, and a scanner emerges from his form.
  577. ?AO: "SCANNING... SCANNING... SCANNING..."
  578. ?AO: "SCAN COMPLETE. TEST NINETY-FIVE PERCENT POSITIVE FOR UNCONFIRMED ASHEN PLAGUE OF SORTS."
  579. ?GG: ıt's hard to belıeve I drew up 21 cats
  580. CAC: >"What is Ashen Plague?"
  581. ?AO: "ONE HUNDRED PERCENT POSITIVE FOR LIFE ESSENCE DAMAGE."
  582. ?AO: "THE ASHEN PLAGUE IS SOME SORT OF VILE AFFLICTION FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE ARCANE. IT HAS NOT BEEN SEEN IN THE GRAYHOLDIAN VOID FOR NEARLY ONE HUNDRED FIFTY YEARS."
  583. CAC: >"Can you... Treat her?"
  584. ?AO: "WHATEVER THIS IS, IT IS ASSUREDLY PROGRESSING. I CAN DO NOTHING AT THE PRESENT TIME."
  585. ?AO: "UNLESS YOU DESIRE EUTHANASIA."
  586. CAC: >"... Is treatment possible?"
  587. CUT: /back
  588. ?GG: hm, so ı'd need 14 cats to get to the full neko atsume non-rare cat roster
  589. CUT: ok, anything needed?
  590. ?AO: "THIS IS NOT SOME WORLD OF THE VALCONIC. IF IT EXISTS, WE CAN TREAT IT."

  592. ?GG: uh, ask tazz
  593. CUT: also I need to fix my highlight thingy
  594. CAC: >"What's needed?
  595. CUT: it doesn't give me UTs at the end of messages because of the end color.
  596. ?AO: "I DO NOT KNOW. THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS FIX UP THE GEM IN HER, I WOULD SAY."
  597. CUT: There, fixed.
  598. ?AO: "THEN, EXTRACTION OF THE DISORDER WOULD BE OPTIMAL."
  599. CUT: CU, anything you need?
  600. CAC: >"How would her gem be fixed?"
  601. ?AO: "THAT WHICH IS DEAD CAN ETERNAL LIE, O'ER ALTAR GRAVE AND INCENSED SKY."
  602. CAC: >"What's incensed sky?"
  603. CUT: Bleh. I should get back on the computer. But I'm worried about hard drive failure.
  604. ?AO: "TYPICALLY AIR POSSESSING OF SOME DEGREE OF BURNT ARCANE MATERIALS, GENERALLY OF ELDRITCH VARIANTS."
  605. CAC: Hmm...
  606. CAC: >"What's altar grave?"
  607. ?AO: "YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN TOLD THIS, UNLESS I AM MISTAKEN."
  608. CAC: Oh, right... Is it only the rose liquid?
  609. ?AO: A trio of tears and two burnt offerings of blessings and curses.
  610. CAC: Hmm, alright.
  611. CAC: >"What happens if she isn't treated?"
  612. ?AO: "GEM CORRUPTION IS A NASTY AND UNPREDICTABLE AFFAIR."
  613. CAC: >"She won't, uh... Explode or become a birdman, right?"
  614. CCU: UT: | was just meaning to talk to you about stuff regarding the Paradox roll, or at least how | feel about it.
  615. ?AO: "IT IS A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY, HOWEVER NEGLIGIBLE."
  616. CCU: For the ridiculously high roll it feels underwhelming.
  617. CAC: >"Could you watch her if we left her on board?"
  618. CUT: Ah.
  619. CCU: That roll on 0 would have likely killed a boss instantly.
  620. ?AO: "PERHAPS. BUT I AM NO ARMED GUARD."
  621. CCU: My general idea on that is, the closer to the ultimate results the more extreme things are.
  622. CUT: Yeah. I'm still not exactly sure about porting the whole paradox roll thing over.
  623. CCU: 3500-6500 is just kind of meh.
  624. CAC: >"... Can you be armed? We have arms."
  625. CCU: Me neither to be fair, | just rolled with what Consumer did.
  626. CUT: So I kinda toned it down.
  627. CCU: Mph.
  628. CCU: Fair enough.
  629. ?GG: on the one hand ıt's not really somethıng that's ıntegral to tcf
  630. ?AO: "WHAT WOULD YOU GRANT ME?"
  631. CUT: But, mh, you make a good point.
  632. ?GG: on the other ıt's also a pretty nıce roll
  633. ?GG: maybe just oneshot the shıeld
  634. ?GG:
  635. CUT: I'll def buff it in some way.
  636. CAC: >Show him a plasma rifle thing
  637. CUT: Probably by a good bit.
  638. ?AO: "AH, YES. GOBLIN PLASMA RIFLE, FOREST-MADE. NU-CLASS, AM I INCORRECT?"
  639. CAC: >"...probably not. "
  640. CUT: And I'll probably also port Paradox Rolls in some more permanent way to Terraria as a form of gambling.
  641. ?AO: "THIS WILL SUFFICE. ATTACH THE CORE MECHANISM TO MY BODILY FORM."
  642. CAC: >Do that
  643. CUT: Like, specific call for it, rather than stuff triggering it out of players' control.
  644. ?AO: You pull out the plasma projector and cartridge, and attach them to Strangelove's auxiliary socket.
  645. ?AO: "I WILL CONTACT YOU IF SOMETHING GOES AWRY. I HAVE YOUR NUMBER. AND THAT OF EVERYONE YOU KNOW."
  646. CAC: >Check on Topaz before leaving
  647. ?AO: Cyan's been sitting next to her whilst you were talking.
  648. CAC: >Also drop off crates and all but one plasma rifle
  649. ?AO: She doesn't look much better. On the other hand, she doesn't look much worse either.
  650. ?AO: You do that.
  651. ?GG: okay, got dameownıcdavıncı made
  652. CAC: >Drop off machinery too
  653. CAC: Meteors...

  659. ?AO: Saving...
  660. ?AO: Game saved successfully. Would you like to quit?
  661. CAC: >y
  662. ?AO: Game quit. Have a nice day.
