  1. >You are Anonymous.
  2. >And you are sick and tired of Echo's shit.
  3. >While you've been trying to read, she's been bugging you to let her feed off of you.
  4. "Echo for fuck's sake, why can't you just go out and get some unsuspecting p0ny?"
  5. >"I can't do that because someone might see me and then I could get into trouble!"
  6. "I don't care, you are not drinking from me and that's final." You adamantly state and sigh, looking out of the window.
  7. >Judging by how high the moon is in the sky, it's worth heading to bed. Tomorrow you have work, and you don't want to be late.
  8. "I'm going to bed, Echo. Maybe... Maybe we can talk about this tomorrow, okay?"
  9. >"Ugh, fine." Echo grumbles and walks off into the kitchen while you fold the page of the book you're on and close it.
  10. >And with that you head upstairs and go to bed, completely oblivious to the bat pony sneaking up after you...
  11. >When you wake in the morning, you feel pretty light headed for some reason.
  12. >None the less you get out of bed and get on with your morning procedure, then head off to work.
  13. >When you arrive though, one look from Roseluck and her eyes widen.
  14. >"Anon, you may have not noticed, but, uh... There's two little, uh, holes in your neck. You may want to get that checked out."
  15. >Upon hearing this, your hands quickly bunch up into fists. That sly bitch!
  16. "Can I go now, Roseluck? if it's something serious, then it needs to be seen as quickly as possible."
  17. >Roselucks nods her head and turns away from you to tend to customers, which leaves you to walk home, your anger rising.
  18. >She took some of your blood while you were asleep, no wonder you felt light headed when you woke up!
  19. >The two of you really need to talk about this, if she's going to the lengths as to biting your neck for that precious source of life, then this problem needs to be addressed.
  20. >You arrive home reasonably quick, you don't live too far away from your workplace.
  21. >When you do get home...
  22. "Echo, where evere you are, I want you to come downstairs. We need to talk."
  23. >Once you shout that out, you walk off into the living room and take a seat, waiting for the sneaky pony to come in.
  24. >What you don't expect is for her to drop from the wall just above you and land on your lap.
  25. >It both scares and slightly hurts you.
  26. >"Hey Anon, why're you home from work earlier than usual?" She asks, and you stare her in those wide eyes of hers.
  27. "I bet you know why I'm home, Echo."
  28. >Immediately after saying this, a guilty look passes onto her face, but none the less she tries to act nonchalant.
  29. >"No I don't, could you care to tell me?"
  30. "I know what you did while I was asleep, Roseluck noticed the bitemarks you left behind on my neck."
  31. >Your angered tone and expression... Scare? Echo, because she flinches away a little when you speak.
  32. "Echo, you can't just go and drink from me while I'm asleep, for christ's sake! What if you had taken too much and I died in my sleep? What would you do then, hm?"
  33. >The bat pony looks down at the floor for a few seconds, then up into your eyes. You notice that tears are starting to build up in them.
  34. >"I-I'm sorry, Anon! I couldn't help it, I had too, I was just so... So thirsty!" She exclaims, but you aren't taking it.
  35. "No, I'm not having this. Echo, you need to find a p0ny that's willing to let you feed off of them!"
  36. >"But I don't know any of the other ponies..." She mumbles and looks away, a tear rolling down her cheek.
  37. >You watch it roll down her dark fur and sigh gently. You need to think on this...
  38. "Echo, can you go leave me alone for a bit? I need to think about this and see if I can do something about this problem."
  39. >The bat pony nods her head and turns, jumping off of your lap and onto the floor with a gentle thud. With her head hung low, she trudges off into the kitchen.
  40. >Meanwhile, your head drops into your hands and you grip your hair, tugging at it with frustration.
  41. >God damn it, why did I have to get a flat with a bat pony, of all things?!
  42. >So, we need to get the facts out on the table:
  43. >Echo can't and won't go out in the sun, as it's UV rays easily burn her light deprived skin, underneath the fur.
  44. >She doesn't have many, if not any, besides you, so you're probably the only options for her.
  45. >She won't go outside at night and drink off of unsuspecting victim, because of the fear of being caught.
  46. >You could introduce Echo to some of the nightfolk around the town, but they might freak out when they find out she's a bat pony.
  47. >Due to the fact that she almost no social experience apart from talking to you, making friends by herself will be awkward and hard.
  48. >So, I think this is it.
  49. >You, Anonymous, are the only blood source for a bat pony.
  50. >And you... As unreluctant as you are, you accept this.
  51. >You can't deprive her of blood, you don't know what happens but you're sure it isn't pleasant.
  52. >And besides, she's one of your best friends!
  53. >You've made your decision...
  54. "Echo, can you come back in here, please?" You shout and rest your chin in a hand, watching the door quietly.
  55. >When she does walk in, she wanders over to you and sits in front, waiting for you to talk.
  56. >You look down at her, just to add to the suspense of the whole situation. You can't help it...
  57. "Right, I've made my decision on this... Problem."
  58. >Echo stares up at you intently, watching, waiting.
  59. "I... I'll let you drink from me." Quickly, a grin takes to her face, revealing those fangs of hers.
  60. "I'm only doing it for your good, okay? I'm not seeing a friend starve because I'm unwilling to... Help her, let's say."
  61. >Without warning, the bat pony leaps up at you and wraps her forelegs around your neck, bringing you into a hug.
  62. >"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" She says over and over, and eventually you have to get her to calm down and let go of you.
  63. "But one thing. If you want to feed, you have to ask. I don't want you drinking my blood while I'm asleep, alright?"
  64. >Echo nods her head and smiles, wrapping her forelegs around your neck and once again hugs you, much to your displeasure.
  65. >"Hey, Anon?"
  66. "Yeah?"
  67. >"Can I uh, feed now? I'm sort of thirsty."
  68. "But you only fed last night..."
  69. >"But I'm thiiiiiirstyyyyyyyy!"
  70. >God damn it, Echo.
