As a child, Chunhei was extremely energetic but she seemed to have extreme crashes after her highs and would sleep for days at a time. Realising something was wrong, her parents immediately got her consulted. After the diagnosis of narcolepsy, Chunhei was pulled out of school to continue her education at home in a controlled environment. Because of this, her social life evaporated and her only friend was her older brother. It was hard, trying to go on knowing that this issue would never go away, it was hard remembering to take all of her pills at certain times and it was hard watching her dreams fade out of focus. But instead of being defeated, Chunhei decided to push forward and strive for her dreams.

- Chunhei is very high energy, she will bounce about and be extremely active and all of a sudden she will crash. She is very bubbly and happy and tries not to let her crashes get to her and stop her from living.

°what mental health issue do you have?: Narcolepsy
°how did you get your mental health illness?: It developed in childhood, doctors believed Chunhei had a lack of hypocretin ( the chemical in your brain that regulates sleep.) The deficiency was thought to result from the immune system mistakenly attacking parts of Chunhei's brain that produce hypocretin.
°why did you want to join the young renegades program?: Chunhei's condition ultimately rules her life, it makes it very hard to make friends or have any kind of social life whatsoever. She is going to learn how to balance her illness and her life.
°how did you find out about this program?: Chunhei was at her pharmacy picking up her weakly dosage of pills, when Myung, the really lovely owner, said he'd been holding onto to something for her. He went into the back and reappeared with a flyer for the programme. He urged her to go and make friends and he made him a promise that she would.
°how did you and your love intetest meet?: He was working at her local pharmacy whilst Myung had the flu, as he is Myung's nephew. Seeing as Chunhei is forever going in, Wonwoo and her bonded.
