- Cheer up mommy.
- >Mio
- But it's been a year since your daddy passed away and it still hurts.
- >I know I have to be strong for her her but it still hurts so much. Darling please give me the strength to raise our daughter.
- >I know you told me to find happiness with someone else if something ever happened to you but I just can't.
- >Sleeping in that bed all alone. Waking up expecting you to be there so I can hold your hand before you wake up.
- >Running to the nearest restroom to cry every time I see a parents walking with their kids. Knowing that I'll never have that happiness ever again.
- >I'll never forget the night it happened.
- >It was Hololive's yearly live fest.
- >You told me to take our daughter with me since you had something to do and you might get there late.
- >I remember glancing to the side of the stage wondering where you were.
- >Getting pulled aside by A-chan and Yagoo.
- >Being told what happened to you.
- >Rushing to the Hospital in the middle of the fest.
- >Having the doctor telling me that you won't make it.
- >Walking into your room and having a sinking pain in my heart once I saw you.
- >You telling me not to cry while wiping away my tears.
- >Saying that the doctor already told you what was going to happen.
- >Pointing to a bag and telling me to open it.
- >Pulling out a manila envelope with paperwork and a key inside.
- >Telling me that you had finished the paperwork for a house for us out in the countryside and it was supposed to be a surprise.
- >Saying your sorry that you won't be there to enjoy it with me and our daughter.
- >Asking me to hold your hand because it helps you relax.
- >Telling me to tell our daughter that you love her and will always watch over her.
- >Saying how these were the happiest years of your life.
- >Asking me for one last kiss and telling me "I'll always love you" while squeezing my hand.
- >Feeling your grip loosen as you close your eyes and slowly drift away...
- >Darling the first two months without you were the hardest days of my life.
- >Everyday will always be hard but for the sake of our daughter I try and hold back the pain.
- >I wake up in the morning in our bed keeping my eyes shut and hoping that when I'd open them you'd be there.
- >Pleading "please be there, let this just be a bad dream!"
- >Opening them only to see the empty space next to me.
- >Keeping a pair of your pajamas next to me while I sleep just so I won't feel lonely.
- >Waking up our daughter getting her ready for school only to carelessly tell her "Don't forget to say goodbye to daddy before you leave."
- >Having her look at me with her eyes tearing up after realizing what I had just said to her.
- >Hugging her tightly telling her I'm sorry for what I had just said while the both of us cry.
- >Making food for three and setting your plate at the table.
- >Darling it's been 20 years since you left us but to me it still seems like it was yesterday.
- >I did my best to raise our daughter, even if everyone says I did a great job I still feel like it wasn't good enough.
- >She's in college now and she'll be graduating next year.
- >She's going to be a doctor.
- >Can you believe that?
- >Ever since that day she said she wanted to be a doctor so that she can make sure no one loses their daddy's or mommy's.
- >It was hard for her to get where she is now.
- >20 years of the both of us missing you.
- >26 years of marriage. Even if there's people that tell me our marriage ended when you passed away for me it never did.
- >I still remember you telling me you wanted to start a family and how hard it was for us. A year and a half us of trying with no luck until it finally happened.
- >I remember how tightly you hugged me when the doctor told us I was pregnant and I started crying tears of joy.
- >Look at me talking nonstop to your grave.
- >I don't know if you can hear me but I just want to let you know that I still love you and I hope you feel the same way.
- >Darling I have big news for you.
- >Our daughter is finally coming back home. She finished her volunteer work overseas and we'll come visit you as a family again soon.
- >That's not the biggest news, she's engaged now.
- >He's a pediatrician and they met while doing volunteer work overseas. He's Canadian and his name is Ryan.
- >It'll be my first time meeting him in person and I'm a little nervous.
- >I've talked to him over the phone and he's a really nice guy. Please don't be hard on him when we come visit you.
- >They tell me they plan on staying in Japan and working here.
- >Our daughter says she wants to open up a clinic where they both can work together.
- >It's getting late so I better get going. I guess my age is finally catching up to me.*giggles*
- >Don't worry I won't stop coming to visit you.
- >I cried tears of happiness for the first time in years.
- >We're going to be grandparents.
- >I don't know if it was the joy of our daughter giving us our grandchild or the fact the she didn't suffer the disappointment and pain we did when we tried to start a family.
- >The look of joy our daughter and son-in-law had on their face when they told us reminded me of us when we told our friends and family. >It felt weird having someone else other than our daughter call me mom. Now I feel joy and nervousness about being called grandma. I know it won't happen for quite a while but I can't wait.
- >Lately I've been feeling tired and I have to wear my glasses more frequently. I guess that as much as I don't want to admit it I'm getting older. I can at least be grateful that I don't have any gray hairs and from what I've been told I still don't look my age.
- >Our daughter gave birth to a healthy baby girl. That officially makes us grandparents.
- >I hope I can be a great grandmother and give her the love and care that both of us would have given her.
- >I can't lie and say I've been feeling great.
- >Lately I've been getting tiered more easily than before.
- >Don't worry I'll go to the doctor and get checked out.
- >I want to be there for our grandchild.
- >Darling I've been really tiered these last couple of days.
- >The doctor told me that I'm fine and that it's natural to feel tired as you age.
- >I feel this comforting warmth every time I go to sleep at night lately.
- >I haven't felt this sensation since the last time we slept in the same bed.
- >It's almost as if you're embracing me in my sleep.
- >I'm feeling a little tiered so I'll take a nap.
- >I love you...
- >I know I'm sleeping but...
- >This warmth feels so relaxing...
- >It makes me just want to just give up...
- >Let it take me away...
- >Darling...
- >I...
- >Love you...
- Mio thought to herself as she opened her eyes.
- >"Is it morning already? Why is the sun so bright?"
- Looking a round she noticed she was outside sitting in a bus stop. She was in the countryside that some how felt familiar but couldn't recognize.
- >Meow
- Mio looked down at her feet and saw two cats standing there looking at her. She had the feeling that she's met them before.
- >Do I know you?
- Mio asked.
- >Meow
- Both cats responded and walked away.
- Still sitting on the bench watching the cats walk away when the suddenly stop and look back at her.
- >Meow
- Both cats cried and stared at her.
- >Do you want me to follow you?
- Mio asked them.
- >Hiss
- One of the cats responded.
- >Ok!
- Getting up quickly and walking towards them.
- >Why is that one so angry?
- Mio thought to herself.
- Walking down the road she caught her reflection in a traffic mirror. She looked younger but dismissed it as the mirror playing a trick on her.
- After a few minutes of walking and some houses the cats ran towards one of them and into its yard.
- >Wait!
- Mio yelled at the cats and chased after them.
- Reaching the house Mio stared at it and getting a feeling that she's seen this place before. Deep inside her something told her to knock on the door.
- Nervously Mio knocked on the door, no answer. About to knock again when the door opened startling her. Looking at the person who opened the door.
- >Darling?
- Mio asks as she rushed forward to hug you almost knocking you down.
- >I've been waiting for you.
- You answer
- As Mio hugs you memories start rushing back to her. The two cats Taiga and Tawa, the town and finally the house. After a while of crying, hugging and kissing she finally calms down. She apologizes for selling the house. You tell her it's ok, she did what she had to for our daughter.
- As you show Mio around the house, you tell her how you've been fixing it up and getting it ready for the day you'd meet each other again. As you both sit on the couch with your arm around her as she hugs you. You start reminiscing about the past until you both fall asleep in each other's arms. Now you can finally continue the life together the both of you always wanted.
