KH Marathon FAQ (PC)

As I plan on doing this marathon more often now I thought why not make an FAQ for the some of the quesiton.

Q: What are you doing?
A: I am running all the KH Series games in one run on PC.

Q: What is the order of games?
A: The games are played in a chronological order, which means BbS, 1FM, Re:CoM, 0.2, Days, KH2, Re:Coded, DDD and KH3.

Q: Are you running at 60fps?
A: I'll be running at uncapped fps as long as the game is stable. If it causes any issues I'll switch to 60fps.

Q: Are crashes a thing?
A: Not sure. Some people had random crashes so I'll be saving a little more often than usual.

Q: How will you run Days and Re:Coded on PC?
A: I won't. They never got a remake so I'll be running those on a Nintendo DS.

Q: Why are you playing through the Ventus tutorial?
A: Without a premade savefile you have to finish the tutorial each time.

Q: Are you only doing [Insert Character here] in BbS?
A: No, I am doing all stories, so Terra, Ventus and Aqua as well as the Final and Secret Episode.

Q: Why do you enter the Mirage Arena as Terra?
A: This is because Terra has a Xehanort Report inside of the Mirage Arena (Sinister Sentinel to be exact). A normal All Stories run has the Reports pre-collected on different savefiles, but I have to collect them if I want to do all from scratch.

Q: How do you unlock the Final/Secret Episode?
A: You unlock the Final Episode by collecting all the Xehanort Reports with every character. The Secret Episode is unlocked the easiest and fastest by beating the Final Episode on Critical. If you do it on Standard/Proud, other things have to be finished before you can unlock it and it is impossible on Beginner.

Q: Why are you not doing All Worlds?
A: This run's goal is to beat the story as fast as possible. So while we do All Stories as they are part of the story we don't do 100 Acre Wood and other optional worlds as they are optional, if that makes sense.

Q: Why are you watching the Chain of Memories Credits?
A: You don't unlock Riku until you save the game after finishing Sora's Story so we have to sit through those.

Q: Isn't GOSU faster than No Major Glitches?
A: Yes, but GOSU just like NG+ requires a premade savefile to activate the glitch which is why NMG is done. Same with KH3 and DDD NG+.

Q: What even is GOSU?
A: GOSU (Or GameOverStatusUpgrade) is a glitch that transfers 50% of your stats from another savefile onto your currently active one. As it requires you to use premade savefiles I will not be opting to using that glitch.

Q: Are you using any glitches?
A: I will be utilizing 2 glitches on purpose. The first one will be the Earthshine Skip in KHFM that allows us to talk to Leon early saving around 25 seconds. The second one is the Dreameater Creation glitch for DDD which allows us to create any Dream Eaters out of Meow Wow's recipe.

Q: Will you be playing through Re:Mind / Limit Cut?
A: Yes, I will be playing through the Re:Mind story scenario as well which means we'll beat everything up until the final Armored Xehanort fight with Kairi. Limit Cut will not be added as this part only consists of 14 Super Bosses that do not belong into the Xehanort Saga anymore.

Q: Is Sora the fastest Character for the Re:Mind fights?
A: As we level up yes, Sora is by far the fastest Character to use instead of Riku, Aqua, Roxas or Kairi. This is because they do not get stronger based on our stats, they have stats of their own. On Lv1 it might be debateable which one would be faster due to still having access to Links as Sora. With All Pro Codes it would likely be faster to go for the other characters, but nobody has confirmed or denied this yet.

Q: How fast can this go?
A: I believe even using a PS4 Pro with SSD this run can go sub 24, with a PS5 this would be even more so possible. As I'm using the PC version now I can see Sub 24 happening for sure.

Q: Why are you torturing yourself with this?
A: I honestly don't understand the question. No one is forced to do this (And hopefully never will). I am doing this because I have fun doing it :)
