  1. Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! All Obtainable Pokémon F.A.Q.
  2.
  3. Q: What are you trying to do?
  4. A: I am trying to catch all obtainable Pokémon in Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! as fast as possible
  5.
  6. Q: What is your best time?
  7. A: My best time is 5:25:20
  8.
  9. Q: What is the World Record?
  10. A: 5:17:12 by JokerSleeps. The fastest time in Eevee is 5:25:20 by eddaket
  11.
  12. Q: When can you save time?
  13. A: It's been over 2 years since my PB, so I don't really remember. I do know I lost ~5min in Cerulean Cave to Fossil RNG, but that's really all I remember
  14.
  15. Q: What Pokémon do you use in the run?
  16. A: I start with Eevee, which I use until I reach Celadon City. Then, I will switch to Alolan Dugtrio until the Pokémon Mansion. Then, I will switch to Starmie and use that until the end of the run. We will also use some other Pokémon in double fights as needed
  17.
  18. Q: Can you do this run on Let's Go, Pikachu!?
  19. A: You can! It's probably faster, but I have more fun playing Eevee so that's what I'm doing
  20.
  21. Q: What do the colors on the PokéDex Counter mean?
  22. A: Orange = Caught | Blue = Owned, but not caught (for tracking "catches") | Gray = Not caught, but evolves via level up from something that is | Black = Not caught
  23.
  24. Q: Why do you care about caught Pokémon vs owned Pokémon?
  25. A: Certain gift Pokémon require you to catch a certain number of Pokémon. Bulbasaur requires 30, Charmander requires 50, and Squirtle requires 60. These numbers are total CATCHES, not total registered Pokémon
  26.
  27. Q: What's the total number of Pokémon that you will catch, and what are the ones you can't?
  28. A: We can obtain 135 out of 153 Pokémon without trading or using online/event features. Here's a list of Pokémon that we cannot obtain:
  29. - Sandshrew (Version exclusive)
  30. - Sandslash (Version exclusive)
  31. - Oddish (Version exclusive)
  32. - Gloom (Version exclusive)
  33. - Vileplume (Version exclusive)
  34. - Mankey (Version exclusive)
  35. - Primeape (Version exclusive)
  36. - Growlithe (Version exclusive)
  37. - Alakazam (Trade evolution)
  38. - Machamp (Trade evolution)
  39. - Golem (Trade evolution)
  40. - Grimer (Version exclusive)
  41. - Muk (Version exclusive)
  42. - Gengar (Trade evolution)
  43. - Scyther (Version exclusive)
  44. - Mew (Event)
  45. - Meltan (Event)
  46. - Melmetal (Event)
  47.
  48. Q: The Generation 1 equivalent to this run was 124 glitchless. What are the other 11 Pokémon that are now obtainable?
  49. A: We can now obtain the other starter lines through gifts, Arcanine by catching 5 Meowths, Hitmonchan AND Hitmonlee can be caught in Victory Road in addition to being available in the Dojo, all three Eeveelutions are obtainable as Eevee is a wild Pokémon, and the Dome/Helix fossil is obtainable as a random drop in Cerulean Cave as well. In addition, some Pokémon were version exclusive and now aren't (Electabuzz and Magmar) and some Pokémon were not version exclusive, now are (Grimer/Muk and Koffing/Weezing)
  50.
  51. Q: What does using 2 controllers let you do?
  52. A: 2 controller is used in two ways. The first is it allows you to catch Pokémon using 2 controllers which makes the Pokémon more likely to be caught as well as boosts the EXP you gain by almost double. Secondly, it allows you to summon another trainer for battles which gives you a 2 Pokémon to 1 advantage
  53.
  54. Q: Wow, 2 on 1 battles sounds super OP! Why don't you use it on every fight?
  55. A: It's slow. In general, you need to be able to save a move select in order for it to be worth it. For example, take a fight is normally something like Headbutt x2. You could do that as a 2 controller fight, however it'll take about the same amount of time, which makes it slower (summoning and de-summoning the other controller takes a few seconds)
  56.
  57. Q: What is your goal time?
  58. A: Sub 3
