- Hana popped her gum for the sixth time in the last three minutes. She hadn't managed to get her hands on this game yet, some retro 16-Bit Hero style arcade thing. The Hanamura arcade just got it in, and she finally had some off-time between MEKA and her new assignment. She'd been watching the game for the past ten minutes or so with a critical eye. Really, it was a straightforward bullet-hell type game, where you had to control a spaceship walking the lonely road to saving the galaxy from evil alien robots. Considering the environment today, it wasn't really /that/ PC, but she could appreciate the playstyle for what it was worth. Her dad had a game similar from his grandpa's childhood, and while the graphics were shoddy, the gameplay looked fun.
- And while it was cool, she was almost positive that these losers had no idea what they were doing. Just watching them made her trigger finger itch, gave her that need to push them away and show them how it was done. She could see very easily where they went wrong: each ship had a special ability, and they kept shying away from the lighter colored ones (pink, yellow) that had better abilities for some reason. It was probably because they liked being the color of blood or because pink was lame, but it was still dumb. She had the courtesy to wait until the latest dudebro died to push her way to the console and swipe her card.
- "Hey, I have another swipe on my card-" he tried, but Hana turned to him, popped her gum, and put a finger on his lips.
- "You aren't allowed to play because you're bad," she said, then she pulled away from him and turned back to the machine. "Seriously. My grandma could play better, and she's blind in one eye and missing her left hand."
- She heard a handful of murmurs, most asking who the fuck she was, but the man that she pushed away from the machine was the loudest. "You really think you can do better?"
- Hana didn't even have to look up from the console to respond. "Without question."
