  1. So as some of you know, I've stated that the future of me streaming has been looking pretty grim. Well this pastebin will shed some light on a few things, as well as outline what will happen with my stream based on a number of factors.
  2.
  3. First of all, the goal of the previous year was to attempt to get my stream to the point where monetarily I would be able to continue doing it without an additional source of income (YouTube aside). Unfortunately that goal was not met. While there was an overall increase in revenue compared to the beginning of the year (higher sub count), only in the month of September did I hit any amount that would be feasible for me to stick to streaming (and that was due largely in part to Subtember). In fact, if not for an increase in YouTube traffic on the later end of the year (as I get ad revenue from YouTube, nothing more) I doubt I would have even been able to finish off the year without a drastic change. With that being said, a drastic change is required asap.

  5. So here's the breakdown, the month of February will ultimately decide the fate of my stream. As far as streaming is concerned, I'm technically already screwed unless there's something specific that I do in March. However, I won't even go through with that (nor elaborate on it) if I can't prove to myself that streaming is something that I honestly have a desire to do (cause honestly, I can do so much more than I have been doing). With that being said, there's a number of requirements that I will be imposing on myself during the month of February. If ANY of the following criteria are not met (which is mostly on myself), then I feel that it's time to move on. The criteria are as follows:
  6.
  7. 1. Stream at least 8 hours total every weekday (2 "sick days" allowed)
  8.
  9. 2. End the month of February with at least 160 hours streamed
  10.
  11. 3. End the month of February with at least 225 subs
  12.
  13. Based on the amount of hours I've streamed in previous months, as well as the infrequency of my streams, you may look at the requirements and think that what I'm asking of myself is borderline impossible. That's the point, if I really have a desire to grow my stream and keep streaming as my source of income I have to prove to myself that I'm willing to put forth the effort to make it happen. If I fail to meet either of the first 2 requirements, then I will accept that as my unwillingness to take streaming seriously. If I fail to meet the last requirement, then I will accept that I'm unable to provide a stream worth the monetary support to keep it going. Regardless of what happens next month, I'm grateful that I've been able to do this for as long as I have. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of shaping my journey on Twitch, through both the good times and the bad.
