Thoughts on "Lampshades on Fire"

So I finally listened to the new Modest Mouse song. I was going to wait until the whole album came out to listen to it, but I finally caved in.

What do I think of it?

I think it's really good. It kind of seems combination of the older style of Modest Mouse and the newer style too.

It has the sort of deep lyrics that the old albums like Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon and Antarctica had. It also sounds much more raw than We Were Dead was in it's vocal style.

However, it has the high production value of We Were Dead. This makes it a really interesting mixture of old and new.

I'm excited to see what this new album has to offer.
