[19:51] Hamsaperiel: We're waiting on Isabella's thing
[19:51] Hamsaperiel: Because of the sins you committed in life, Rodney
[19:51] Becky Smalls is in the hotel bar, sat in a little booth with a notepad, a local tabloid and a large bottle of wine. It's already half empty. She's humming along to the dire straits being played over the tanoy, doodling something as she flicks through the paper.
[19:52] Isabella Dawson years of growing up on a farm in a small town in middle America can leave people a little isolated. That was the start of life for Isabella her and her five brothers growing up working the land,hunting and riding horses. After the years of high school she finally got tired of it all and moved into the big city for a change of pace. On her own two feet shes now in a shitty apartment in a rough area but shes got a job and hope, shes sure she can make something of herself.
[19:52] Isabella Dawson: Sorry that took so long I kept re writing it before settling on that.
[19:54] Hamsaperiel: Isabella works at the hotel bar. Also, this is the hotel Lohen is staying at as well!
[19:54] Hamsaperiel: Also, Lohen is familiar with Becky Smalls, Reporter
[19:56] Isabella Dawson swipes the rag across the bar a thin smile on her face as she glances over the bar, checking to see if anyone would be in need of a refill soon.
[19:56] Becky Smalls appears to be one of the faster drinkers.

[19:59] Lohengrin Theissen is a short ways away in the lounge, leaning back in a chair and staring at the ceiling. The wannabe cowboy is turning a business card in his hands again and again, it looks like theres a name on it. He looks over and raises an eyebrow, well ficken, was that Becky Smalls? The German had watched a few episodes of her show while he stayed up late at night in whatever shitty motel or apartment he was in at the time.

[20:00] Becky Smalls 's 'I'm about to get noticed by a fan' senses are tingling! She tries to sit in a more seductive pose.
[20:03] Becky Smalls waves across the bar to Lohen, flashing him a charming little smile, and then returns to reading.
[20:04] Lohengrin Theissen waves back at her, returning the smile. After a few more moments of brooding the Knight gets up and sits down next to her. "So, couldn't help but notice that you look a bit like someone I saw on TV. A Becky Smalls, right?" He has a moderate German accent, made a bit worse by his attempts to have a slight drawl.
[20:06] Becky Smalls beams! "That's me! You know my show? Did you catch last weeks episode? With the old farmhouse and the spiderwebs! Gosh, it was fascinating, wasn't it?"
[20:08] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Yes! I enjoyed when you jumped down into the cellar. Such bravery!:
[20:11] Becky Smalls: "Well, it would hardly be good TV if I didn't go down, would it now? Plus, after all, that's where Old Farmer Klonkers kept the bodies, apparently, so there was bound to be something interesting down there!"
[20:12] Isabella Dawson takes a step back, crossing her arms just under her chest as she glances towards the table with the Tv star? She was sure we had seen her somewhere. Perhaps seeing if she wanted another drink was pretense enough to check and so with bottle in hand she slowly wondered towards the table.
[20:14] Becky Smalls: "Oh, excellent, more booze! You know, I think that was the first time I'd actually seen two seperate hauntings come into conflict, you know? Klonkers and his victims. It wasn't the most flashy, certainly... but then you listen to the enhanced audio and hear them interact with each other... I had no idea that was even possible!"
[20:15] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Well of course, still, you dedication to your work does you proud. Though I was a bit disappointed when you didn't find any bodies. The ghosts were interesting, of course. Strange to see that even after death such hate remained." The German nods at Isabella. "Ah, a glass of Heineken, if you would."
[20:16] Becky Smalls looks slightly wistfully into the bottom of her glass. "Of course, really we needed to give the whole place a sweep with ultraviolet, set up some long-term recorders to speed up, maybe capture the background white noise of the place... and it can't have hurt to get some measurements of the place. The feng shui felt all wonky in there, and I think it might have helped. Still, we do what we can with our budget."
[20:20] Isabella Dawson smiles towards the two as she stops at the booth placing the bottle on the table. "I hope you arnt offended miss, but I thought you might want another bottle" her tone is almost forced with its formality as she trys to adjust to the new setting.
[20:20] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Ah, well, thus is the nature of a show. You cannot do everything you wish to do. Maybe you could go back some other time with the proper equipment. I mean, if you get enough money." The German awkwardly coughs and reaches for his glass. "Yes, more alcohol sounds good to me."
[20:23] Becky Smalls cheerfully grabs the bottle, rummaging through her pockets to pay for it. "No offense taken. Wine is good! So does anybody know anywhere I could film next? If you give me a good tip, there's always a cameo in it for you!"
[20:24] Lohengrin Theissen shrugs. "I don't really know. New to this city myself. Looking for someone, say. You know anyone with the last name Swan? With a niece called Marisa?"
[20:25] Becky Smalls: (do I?)
[20:26] Hamsaperiel: (Nah)
[20:26] Hamsaperiel: (Lohen's search for the princess won't be solved that easy)
[20:27] System: Kel Tralsman is offline.
[20:28] Becky Smalls: (would I recognise the name as something wibblywobblyparanormal?)
[20:29] Hamsaperiel: (Nope. Just some guy.)
[20:31] Becky Smalls: (no worries)
[20:31] Isabella Dawson as she hears the girls comment a slight memory comes forth. "Excuse me miss, but if you don't mind I know a place out in the country that might fit what your looking for."
[20:32] Becky Smalls: "Never heard of them, sorry." Her head swivels to point at Isabella. "Yeeees? Sing, you canary!"
[20:34] Isabella Dawson "Back home, there was a old farm house abandoned falling down all that. One night when we where all back there some creature or something attacked the lot of us there."
[20:35] Becky Smalls: "Some creature, eh? Did you get a good look at it? Any pictures?"
[20:37] Isabella Dawson: "It seemed just like a man nothing werid, but it just kept coming even after my Johnny put a few shots into him. Like it never even scratched him."
[20:38] Lohengrin Theissen sighs. "Oh well, nothings ever easy...And that sounds...quite strange. Might be worth looking into."
[20:40] System: Hektor Tritos is online.
[20:42] Becky Smalls: "Did it actually touch anybody? Can you take me where this happened? Can you draw him for me?" She's leaning forward, eyes shining eagerly, finger's tapping on the table as she talks.
[20:46] Isabella Dawson is taken a back slightly as she places one hand on the table leaning in a little closer. "It did more then touch people" she looks towards the floor as she tells her that, looking back up as she carry's on "And I can take you there of course, the drawing im not sure. I could try"
[20:48] Lohengrin Theissen leans forwards. "I too would be interested in seeing this place. Not everyday you meet a man who can shrug off bullets. Where was it again? If its not to far I could go there on Neus."
[20:48] Becky Smalls: "Excellent, then it's a date! I'll go get Joel, he's currently rocking back and forth in the en-suite."
[20:49] Hamsaperiel: What did you do to that poor boy?
[20:49] System: Rase Kiral changed status to Looking, A young fighter looking for a challenge! Do you have what it takes to beat this boy martial arts "master"? Or do you feel he could use a little of your training? Inquire within! Femdom roleplay adored~
[20:50] Lohengrin Theissen: "What? What happened to him?"
[20:50] Isabella Dawson "Miss im sorry to say but I need to finish my shift, as well its a few hours travel."
[20:51] Becky Smalls: "Oh, he's just a little shook up. You remember the bit where the oven's flames were all 'whoosh!' and he yelled 'balls!' and dropped the camera? Turns out his shirt was on fire. The things I do for TV!"

[20:52] Hamsaperiel: This happened on the outskirts of Gravesend. But for the curious there is a news story on the television about a series of mysterious deaths in the area. Something about three college students who have been found completely chopped up in the middle of the street. A new victim was found who managed to get away with only hideous facial wounds. He said that a woman came up to him and asked "Am I pretty?"
[20:53] Becky Smalls points at the TV. "That! Volume up, this is interesting!"
[20:54] Lohengrin Theissen turns and looks at the TV before sighing. "Men surviving guns, that thing and now this. The world is getting to be a dark place. Someone should do something about it..."
[20:55] Hamsaperiel: Choo choo, muthafucka
[20:55] Isabella Dawson looks back over her shoulder towards the TV the thin smile on her face now gone as she hears bits and pieces of the story.
[20:55] Becky Smalls: "That's what we pay the police for. I just report the facts. Hey, do you think there's a story in this?"
[20:57] System: Emily Maple is online.
[20:58] Lohengrin Theissen laughs. "Do you think the police will do anything about this? It'll get some air time before everyone forgets about it and the killer goes free. Of course theres a story in it, only thing missing is for someone to be a Hero." Lohen puts emphasis on Hero, savoring the word as he says it.
[20:58] System: Emily Maple changed status to Looking, Doing some gaming, expect some slowness.

[20:59] Becky Smalls: "That's a very negative view there. I'm sure everything will work out fine."

[21:01] Lohengrin Theissen shrugs. "Only if someone makes sure it does. But that isn't any conversation to have over a drink. Let's talk of out expedition to this farm house."
[21:02] Isabella Dawson as she hears that she looks back at the pair, putting the events from the TV behind her.

[21:04] Becky Smalls: (yes. in my defence, I did have 9-again)
[21:07] Hamsaperiel: (She was the only person smart enough to take Professional Training :V )
[21:07] Isabella Dawson: (I took one dot of it!)
[21:09] Ivan Thrace: (not taking 5 dots and laughing forever at your rote action)
[21:11] Lohengrin Theissen shakes his head and looks back at Becky. "So, what do you think of the murders?"
[21:13] Becky Smalls: "Well. There's a few explanations, really. The most likely is that somebody's got themselves obsessed with the Kuchisake Onna and started offing people. You'd be surprised how many serial killers mimic various things in folklore."
[21:13] Rodney: ("Am I pretty?" "Am I?" "Why aren't you answering my question?" "Why aren't you answering mine?" "This is going to go on for a while isn't it?" "I don't know, what do you think?" )
[21:14] Lohengrin Theissen: "The whoseas what now?"
[21:16] Isabella Dawson tilts her head to onside slightly as she listens intently to the pair.
[21:17] System: Eilie is online.
[21:18] Becky Smalls sighs. "Kuchisake Onna. It's a japanese legend where the ghost of a mutilated woman does... basically what our killer is doing, actually. Find a victim, ask if they think she's pretty. If they say yes, they get mutilated the same way, if they say no, they get killed. Of course, there's various variations on it, such as how you answer without getting hurt and so on, but the story itself is largely consistent. Possibly it was based on actual murders that happened, possibly it's just a powerful myth, or possibly there actually is some supernatural being that does it." She takes a sip of her wine, and leans back, evidently enjoying getting to talk about her pet subject. "However, if it is some sort of malevolent being, I doubt it's a ghost. Ghosts tend to be bound to one place, and don't usually display that sort of maliciousness. Something like a demon trying to trap it's victims sees more likely here. If you believe in that sort of thing."

[21:28] Hamsaperiel coughs. And points out how big a ratings boost the Slit Mouth Woman story might provide.
[21:28] Becky Smalls: "Do you think we should look into it?"
[21:34] Hamsaperiel pokes the cell.
[21:35] Becky Smalls: "Because I think we should!"
[21:35] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Of course, we can't let it run around the city killing people"
[21:36] Hamsaperiel: Oh, look, the last victim is still alive, maybe if you somehow got to him in the hospital you could interview him.
[21:36] Isabella Dawson: "If your not ageist waiting for me, I could give you guys some muscle on your investigation"
[21:38] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Sure, hey, Becky. Your good at talking to people, right? Why don't you go to the hospital and try and talk to the living victim. I need to ask around about someone but I'll keep an eye out. I have friends in the...less well kept parts of Ashcroft."
[21:38] Hamsaperiel: She is, indeed, a bit of a bear of a woman, all strong muscles and being fucking huge underneath that tied plaid shirt and pair of tight jeans
[21:38] Becky Smalls: "I can wait for your shift to finish. It will probably take me this long to get Joel to stop whimpering and pick the camera up, anyways. Shall I meet you three here in a few?"
[21:39] Isabella Dawson nods towards the girl she now know as Becky "That sounds good"
[21:39] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Looks like we have a plan."
[21:40] Hamsaperiel: Poor, poor Joel

[21:42] Becky Smalls: "Right!"

[21:44] Hamsaperiel: Shall we skip ahead a bit, now?
[21:44] Lohengrin Theissen stands up to leave. "So, we meet back here in three hours?"
[21:46] Isabella Dawson stands back up straight taking one of the empty glasses in her hand "My shift should be done by then, so its a good time for me."
[21:46] Becky Smalls: I'm in favor of a timeskip
[21:46] System: Eilie is offline.
[21:47] Isabella Dawson: Same.
[21:47] Lohengrin Theissen: Alright.
[21:47] Hamsaperiel: Mmkay. Where would you like to regroup?
[21:48] Lohengrin Theissen: I was thinking outside the motel.
[21:49] Isabella Dawson: Im fine with anywhere.
[21:50] Becky Smalls: outside the motel works. Does anybody have transport?
[21:50] Becky Smalls: because I'm in no state to drive...
[21:50] Lohengrin Theissen has motorcycle.
[21:51] Isabella Dawson: I assume I would have a beat up old junker.

[21:55] Hamsaperiel: It's a big hospital, Elizabeth Ashcroft Medical Center, and you can see a few police cruisers hanging around, probably making sure that no one comes to kill the last victim, Andrew Meltzer.
[21:56] Becky Smalls: "So how do we get to talk to him? Claim to be reporters? Private detectives?"
[21:57] Isabella Dawson "We could go for the friends and family route, just grab a few flowers"
[21:57] Lohengrin Theissen: "You could say its for your show?"
[21:57] Hamsaperiel: "Claim"?
[21:57] Becky Smalls: (claim to be 'not crazy' reporters)
[21:58] Hamsaperiel: More accurate.
[21:58] Hamsaperiel: Also, it is currently late afternoon! You have a few hours until visiting is over
[21:58] Becky Smalls: "I don't think that would cut the mustard here. My audience is not, you know, the most respected demographic, so claiming to be news reporters might work better."

[21:59] Lohengrin Theissen sighs. "Indeed, tough that would require a press badge and he might refuse. People can get some jumpy about reporters."

[22:03] Lohengrin Theissen has listened to a lot of CoC and ToC stuff from both RPPR and tDatU
[22:03] Becky Smalls goes off to film a quick 'intro segment' behind her van, breathlessly explaining the case so far and the Kuchisake Onna myth, before explaining that she's going to interview a surviving victim, but that she probably won't be allowed to film or use any footage.
[22:04] Becky Smalls: (I assume I have a personal mic used when filming I can use to record the conversation for later?)
[22:05] Isabella Dawson mumbles under her breath as she waits in the cold shivering a little
[22:05] Hamsaperiel: Joel films it all, giving the others a quick wave and an upnod. He's a guy that's college age, a little scruffy, and wears a backwards hat with sunglasses on top of it and a vest filled with pockets. The back of his jacket also has a patch that says "NPC" and his shirt says Don'T Eat Me, I Taste Bad.
[22:05] Hamsaperiel: And indeed, you've got both mic and recorder.
[22:06] Lohengrin Theissen sighs. "Well, might as well try to press angel. If it doesn't work we can try something else.
[22:06] Lohengrin Theissen: *"
[22:08] System: Jane changed status to Away, - searching for food -
[22:10] Hamsaperiel is a Storytelling angel, not a press angel.
[22:10] Becky Smalls: "Okay, lets try that."
[22:10] Isabella Dawson: "Lead the way boss"

[22:11] Becky Smalls wanders into the hospital, looking for the main reception.
[22:11] Lohengrin Theissen follows her, hands in his pockets and a smile on his face.

[22:13] Hamsaperiel: Fuck it, we'll do it live

[22:13] Isabella Dawson joins the others inside a slight smirk on her face
[22:14] Hamsaperiel: "I'm gonna be waiting out here," Joel says, "no cameras means no need for me, and I need sleep."
[22:14] Becky Smalls: "There's pillows in the van. Don't die, or you're fired!"
[22:14] Lohengrin Theissen: "Stay safe and don't get slashed. Alright?"
[22:17] Becky Smalls approaches the receptionist!
[22:19] Hamsaperiel: "Will do," he says, shutting the double doors behind him.
The receptionist is an big black woman, with curly hair. She gives Becky a smile, and looks at her a little curiously. "You that crazy little white girl always going after ghosts?" she asks.
[22:19] Isabella Dawson hangs back a few paces waiting to see if she can get them inside.
[22:20] Becky Smalls: "That's me! Do you watch the show?"
[22:22] Hamsaperiel: "I've seen it, I'm a big fan. I have to say, I'm surprised you ain't killed yourself, darlin'." She says the word with a bit of an accent, drawn out and friendly, "you are a crazy one. My friend and I are always talkin' about how you must be off your rocker. But I figure Jesus must be just as entertained as the rest of us, 'cause you got something watchin' out for you." And yes, somewhere along my typing she became Creol.
[22:24] Lohengrin Theissen: (>confirmed for Voodoo witch. Shoot to kill.)
[22:25] System: The Malice is offline.
[22:26] Becky Smalls: "Oh, well, you know. A lot of it's edited to seem more scary by the network. Each half hour show has, I'd say, about twenty hours of footage and days of us doing research and exploring the place, but we're lucky that we get as much cool footage as we do. I'm actually doing some research for it now, did you know?"
[22:27] Lohengrin Theissen goes to use the restroom.
[22:27] Lohengrin Theissen: (Taking a quick shower, be back soon.)
[22:27] Hamsaperiel: "Oh, my, right now? You mean you're here to talk to that poor boy, ain't you, darlin?" Her dark face gets a little pale, and she frowns, "he looked just dreadful what that lady did to him..."
[22:30] Becky Smalls: "I know! It's horrible, isn't it? Did you know about the legend with this? It's really rather creepy."
[22:30] Hamsaperiel: "Legend? You mean this is some sort of ghost?" She seems real interested now, and leans forward, "Something spooky is going on?"
[22:32] System: Hektor Tritos is offline.
[22:33] Becky Smalls: "Well, there's a story about the ghost of a woman who's husband cut her face, and the ghost did the same thing as happened to this poor kid. Now, my guess is that it's just somebody crazy who heard the story, but if there's more too it..." she lets the question hang in the air, before giving a bright smile. "Could I talk to him?"
[22:36] Hamsaperiel: The woman purses her lips, and thinks about it. Roll me a Manipulation + Persuasion Add your Fame

[22:38] Hamsaperiel: She sighs, and nods, "I think you ought'a give it a try. If you find out more about this, you might be able to tell the folks about it, like how you talked about puttin' salt around your windows if you think you're in trouble. But don't you go harassin' him, I don't wanna get a talking to."
[22:39] Becky Smalls: "Oh, of course not. He's been through a lot already, you know?" She offers her hand to shake. "Always a pleasure meeting a fan. Hey, I can get you some signed merch sent if you like, just email the studio saying it's you and I'll get it sorted."
[22:42] Hamsaperiel: The woman seems elated at the prospect, and wishes Becky good luck (and offers to pray for her).
[22:44] Lohengrin Theissen heads back out of the bathroom and walks over to Becky. "We good to talk to the man?"
[22:45] Becky Smalls gratefully accepts prayings! It can't hurt!
[22:45] Becky Smalls: "Yeah, we can talk to him. Lets not push it, though."
[22:45] Isabella Dawson leans back on the wall of the reception still watching, and from the expressions she thought she was successful and goes towards them.
[22:45] System: Alex Marcellus changed status to Busy, Fire Arms are Broken IN Pathfinder.
[22:47] Lohengrin Theissen nods. "Of course. Hes had eno.ugh trouble already"
[22:48] Isabella Dawson: "Do we have the room number and everything?"
[22:49] Becky Smalls: "We... don't, darn."
[22:49] Becky Smalls goes back to her new fan, and asks for the room number!
[22:49] Hamsaperiel: You do
[22:49] Hamsaperiel just leaves little details like that out.
[22:50] Hamsaperiel: Anyway, up in the room, there's some cops. They got the call from the receptionist, who said you were friends.
[22:51] Becky Smalls nods to the cops. "Is he awake?"
[22:52] Lohengrin Theissen smiles at the cops and stands behind Becky as they wait to be let in.
[22:53] Hamsaperiel: They nod, and let the group in.
[22:53] Hamsaperiel: "We're right outside if you need us"
[22:54] Becky Smalls: "Excellent, thank you officers!"
[22:54] Lohengrin Theissen: "Have a good day."
[22:54] System: Karra Nightback is online.
[22:54] Isabella Dawson follows the group in bending down a little to get trough the door frame.
[22:54] Hamsaperiel: Cops are: Big Black Guy and Young White Guy. Big Black Guy may or may not be too old for this shit, you can't tell.
[22:58] Becky Smalls wanders on it!
[22:58] Lohengrin Theissen thinks that YWG is actually to old for this shit but that doesn't matter. The German bends down near the bed to look at the patient. "Hey, you awake?"

[23:00] Isabella Dawson stands at the far end of the room, looking over it wondering if anyone else had vitiated him yet.
[23:00] Hamsaperiel: Andrew Meltzer is indeed awake, sitting in bed with bandages around his mouth. He's sketching something when they arrive, and looks up.
[23:01] Becky Smalls: "Mister Meltzer? Can we talk to you about what happened?"
[23:03] Hamsaperiel: He points to his mouth, and shakes his head.
[23:03] Hamsaperiel: He looks like he was crying a bit.
[23:04] Becky Smalls: "I see. That must be horrible for you. Can we ask some questions, nothing too complicated. Just nod and shake, hm?"
[23:04] Hamsaperiel: He thinks about it for a moment, then nods.
[23:05] Becky Smalls: "Was the person who attacked you wearing a mask at all?"
[23:06] Hamsaperiel: He nods.
[23:06] Becky Smalls: "Like one of those little surgical masks?"
[23:07] System: Ysabel Valiana is offline.
[23:07] Hamsaperiel: You can see his throat swallow, and he nods again.
[23:08] Becky Smalls: "Did she take it off at all?"
