  1. The Goal of this is to beat Ganon with just hero's sword.
  2.
  3.
  4. Route Explanation:
  5. Since the cutscene that preceeds the Ganondorf fight equips you with the Master Sword, the idea of this is to watch that cutscene first, then backtrack to the overworld, get the hero's sword, then go back to Ganon's Castle to beat Ganondorf.
  6.
  7. Because the Ganondorf cutscene requires animation set 2, this means we need to leave Hyrule 2 and then come back. The problem lies in the fact that sailing in the Forsaken Fortress quadrant requires the Master Sword. Which means we can't use the portal there once we have the hero's sword. As such, the only way to Ganon's Castle with the hero's sword after Hyrule 2 is the Hyrule 3 portal in TotG. That portal requires the fully charged master sword to open (which we can get from the Ganondorf fight) and the Triforce (which is the reason this goal is so long to achieve), but once it is opened we can use it with the hero's sword.
  8.
  9. Then there is the bombs problem. To get the bombs normally, you have to get the gossip stone text in FF1. The terrible thing about this is that the gossip stone text changes the state of Outset, meaning getting a sword from Orca or from the forest becomes impossible. Furthermore, with both the fully charged master sword and the gossip stone trigger activated, there is no known way back to FF1. Which means it is impossible to get the bombs normally and downgrade your sword at the same time...
  10.
  11. Except there are 2 solutions: the first one is to simply do Morth Hover without Bombs. The other solution is more elegant. You can transfer the bombs from another file to have the bombs but not the gossip stone trigger activated. Which means you can downgrade with Orca or FF1! :)
  12.
  13. Notes: - It is possible to get the hookshot for this category, but it is much much slower because it requires one file to not get the bombs, and one file to go get bombs, command melody and hookshot. Then transfer the items from file 2 to file 1.
  14. - This route gets the swift sail for early Diamond Steppe. You can skip the swift sail if you can get into Diamond Steppe early without it (for exemple with an island hop). This however causes a reroute. The swift sail helps a ton and routing this category without it is really hard so I didn't bother with it.
