  1. <Parser> little spread out os bear with me
  2. <Parser> introduction I had was
  3. <Parser> The last great Cybertronian conflict has come and gone. Though overwhelmingly strong individually, the Decepticons proved to be no match for the Autobot's superior resources and manpower, and were gradually worn down.
  4. <Parser> Suffering their ultimate defeat on the barren world of Chaar, the remaining Decepticon forces were left scattered and broken. Now, they hide in the dark corners of the galaxy, stockpiling weapons and energon; biding their time in hopes that one day their savior Megatron will rise again to lead them.
  5. <Parser> Though much of Cybertron wishes to simply forget the war, Optimus Prime finds himself uneasy. In an attempt to root out the remaining Decepticon forces and bring them to trial, he has created the Decepticon Justice Divison. While a dirty job, the program had no shortage of volunteers among the more warlike Autobots- not to mention Decepticons looking for a new start.
  6. <Parser> As for you: You are a member of the 37th unit of the DJD patrol, currently on your way to the third planet in the Sol system. Apparently, it was once home to a long-forgotten Cybertronian exploration base...
  7. <Parser> the idea was something animated's basic setting but earth was neo-Chaar/Nebulon and cons had divided it up as turf
  8. <Parser> western hemisphere was megatron's faction, eastern hemisphere was deathsaurus
  9. <Parser> and then the PC base had a basement full of old jihaxus monster of the week experiments and
  10. <Parser> Dr Arkeville working on manmade cybertronians
  11. <Parser> I'm sure I have a more coherent document but I'm not sure what it's labeled as
  12. <Parser> but what I've got here is mostly adventure hooks and gangs based on toy gimmicks
  13. <Parser> the game was set to take place in New Jersey, one of the richest energon fields in the continental US which is why the water is so bad and everyone is so weird looking
  14. <Parser> due to space fuel leaching into the water supply
  15. <Parser> Arkeville was almost exactly going to be Dr Weird
  16. <Parser> the primary gangs there were the Junkions, who were led by uh
  17. <Parser> lemme find the name
  18. <Parser> ah, here we go
  19. <Parser> Gutcruncher basically ran a scrap metal racket across most of the contintental US and
  20. <Parser> hires Junkions as mercs to protect this
  21. <Parser> then there was Mindwipe, whose gang gimmick was Headmasters
  22. <Parser> and he had like
  23. <Parser> ten heads he could swap for different superpowers and would cut people's heads off and replace them with compliance device ones
  24. <Parser> and then MYSTERIOUS THIRD POWER who had a gang consisting of humans and minicons and never left his car
  25. <Parser> and his second in command was ratbat but ratbat was a double agent for soundwave without realizing it
  26. <Parser> and that was an adventure hook where the party would run into Punch and he was hot on the trail of this mysterious crimelord who had a stranglehold on new jersey's arms dealing racket
  27. <Parser> and the crime boss was Counterpunch, who in this was slated to be a split personality blackouts thing
  28. <Parser> and every time he turned into a car he changed personalities to stereotypical mob boss
  29. <Parser> the reason the party couldn't get backup ever was cuz
  30. <Parser> every time they tried to contact cybertron, they'd either
  31. <Parser> A. Get optimus but he was too busy keeping cybertron from falling apart to listen
  32. <Parser> B. get rodimus but he didn't give a shit
  33. <Parser> C. accidentally contact another squad and get an update on, like, the Wreckers attempts to subjugate Planet X
  34. <Parser> which was a horrible beastformers shithole
  35. <Parser> and then it's mostly a series of minor villains
  36. <Parser> like Insecticons as an army of mindless bug drones that were also modular combiners
  37. <Parser> and could link together into a giant mecha-centipede that eats everything metallic
  38. <Parser> and then later someone would invent Cosmic Rust to try and wipe them out and this'd make everything worse
  39. <Parser> there was also the MASK project creating Overlord on accident
  40. <Parser> and Powermasters in general
  41. <Spandez> I'll admit, I was considering having like
  42. <Parser> government experiments in cybernetics turning desk jockey Cyrus Killinger into the maniacal Cy-Kill
  43. <Spandez> COPS be happening on earth and Dr. Badvibes starts making Headmaster suits for the gang
  44. <Parser> sounds rad
  45. <Parser> oh, right
  46. <Spandez> and uh
  47. <Parser> after a certain threshold of gratiutous property damaged happened I was gonna have a gang of anti-robot vigilantes called the Circuit Breakers show up with
  48. <Parser> ghetto EMP devices
  49. <Spandez> the Monstroids from He-Man basically being peaceful colonists who've been menaced by the Manchines stealing their energon and protoforms for millenia
  50. <Parser> mite b cool
  51. <Spandez> so they've been getting brickier and less coordinated over time as they have to repair themselves with inferior materials
  52. <Parser> but I think anyone would side against manchines tbh
  53. <Spandez> well yeah
  54. <Parser> oh, right
  55. <Spandez> especially after they hear Zipper talk
  56. <Parser> one adventure was gonna be that
  57. <Parser> after hearing the local cons are having trouble keeping their rackets up (and they also don't want word of autobots getting leaked for fear of this)
  58. <Parser> decepticon high command sends Clench to take over and it's
  59. <Parser> a teamup with one of the recurring villains vs aggressively texan robot with the biggest gun
  60. <Parser> Octane was hiding as Air Force 1 and killing him was an act of terrorism
  61. <Parser> Toxitron was defender of Tromaville
  62. <Parser> the mutants from beast machines were meant to make an apperance but I don't have a specific hook written down
  63. <Parser> and that's all I got in this document specifically
  64. <Spandez> so far I've got Gore-Lock's gang down as uh
  65. <Spandez> a bunch of Action Masters, some of which are stuck in a monster mode
  66. <Parser> I'd say look at the Mutants for that, actually
  67. <Parser> they're beastformers who have no robot mode just
  68. <Parser> another beast mode
  69. <Spandez> Oh yeah, that's an option
  70. <Parser> http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Mutant_%28BW%29
  71. <Spandez> maybe just car > plane for some of them
  72. <Parser> http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/7/75/BWSourcebook-Soundwave.jpg
  73. <Parser> had a weird soundwave
  74. <Spandez> with Gore-Lock being a guy who's been underground since the age of the 13 Primes and he hasn't seen anyone not a mutant for millions of years
  75. <Parser> makes sense
  76. <Parser> oh right it's not in this specifically but I had it that
  77. <Spandez> but he's combiner-tier huge and packing a bunch of bullshit sciencemagic
  78. <Parser> at some point the base was gonna be exploded to stop something or other serious shit endboss and
  79. <Parser> this unseals the Inhumanoids and/or Hate Plague
  80. <Spandez> turns out it's a citybo- huh
  81. <Parser> oh well that too I guess
  82. <Parser> but the idea was this was
  83. <Parser> every stupid toy gimmick in prototype stages
  84. <Parser> from pre-war cybertron
  85. <Spandez> I got a mining planet where Decepticon remnants getting into a firefight with PC's blows a hole in the planet's crust and unleashes the Inhumanoids
  86. <Spandez> or gets the party into a blood feud with the Rock Lords
  87. <Parser> sounds cool
  88. <Parser> but yeah my primary method of generating adventure hooks was
  89. <Parser> hit random a few times on tfwiki
  90. <Spandez> but yeah uh
  91. <Spandez> that intro is kind of perfect
  92. <Parser> and ask how I would write a goofy saturday morning cartoon focused on this guy
  93. <Parser> well, feel free to use it
  94. <Spandez> the only question is do I keep the concept of "the Takkar Confederacy" where it's just the Brave robots as injuns
  95. <Spandez> who hunt the evil local robots for their battery packs
  96. <Parser> do they take native lifeforms as cockpit pets
  97. <Spandez> yes
  98. <Parser> sounds fun do it
  99. <Spandez> they've got a longstanding tradition of adopting the small hairless meatbeasts as good luck charms
  100. <Spandez> I think I had either
  101. <Spandez> Swindle or this hick freight train transformer as the guy who would sell the party equipment as the game went on
  102. <Spandez> and the hick's just basically robot Colonel Sanders
  103. <Parser> Swindle makes the most sense but southern fried spacebus is appealing in it's own right
  104. <Spandez> I figure Swindle is better for weapons and illegal mods, Spacebus is for legit shit and repairs
  105. <Parser> maybe they're partners
  106. <Spandez> Swindle and Grifter/Carpetbagger
  107. <Spandez> ...well, Carpetbagger sounds more like a guy who turns into an old vacuum
  108. <Parser> like, Swindle's store/space taxi is crazy sasuraiger spacetrain but
  109. <Parser> then spacetrain is also a robot in it's own right
  110. <Parser> I dunno
  111. <Spandez> works for me
  112. <Parser> and then you can have a later adventure that's
  113. <Parser> spacetrain pulls up and when party enters swindle's been like
  114. <Parser> kidnapped by the spacemob
  115. <Parser> and trainformer needs to call in a favor and you're the most hardcore/low standards people he knows
