——being born in seoul, yebin had to get used to the busy city life from a small age. her parents both worked and so yebin would be left with her grandparents most of the time. the old couple spoiled yebin quite a lot when she was a tiny child. her grandfather would heed  to yebin's every request (most of the time). her grandmother would have to play the bad person whenever yebin did something wrong.
——her parents and grandparents were usually gentle, but when it came to academics, they wanted yebin to be the very best. because of this, yebin would usually spend her time in her bedroom studying or reading fiction novels when she needed a break. yebin doesn't really go on her phone, obviously. so internet slang was basically a foreign language to her, she would search them up on google if she was really curious but most of the time, she can't be bothered. whenever her friends complain about the wifi being slow last night, yebin's just - "i only use wifi for google sorry". people think that yebin is forced to study 24/7 but really, yebin loves studying. as weird as it sounds, she loves learning new things.
——though yebin was no. 1 in the school, class president and part of the school council, whenever she found the time she would go to an internet cafe/pc room and play games. she found it to be quite enjoying the first time when she was dragged with her friends and was soon hooked. the only slang yebin understands are the ones used in-game. after graduating high school and moving onto college, yebin started a gaming channel for fun. through her videos, she was invited to a few gaming competitions to compete. yebin never thought of making money through these competitions and videos but when she started getting recognized as a "youtuber" and "pro gamer" she was overjoyed. yebin would send half her income to her family as she's thankful for everything they've done for her.

——growing up mostly with her grandparents, yebin seems to take after the old couple's personality as well. yebin nags and whines a lot. from her place of the couch of course. she claims to be small and fragile and it's true. yebin's probably the weakest person you would every meet in terms of strength and she would rather die than exercise. yebin's very lazy and will sleep until noon if you let her, she can't even be bothered to make her bed in the mornings and often wakes up late. whenever yebin sees anything relatively technology related and new, she furrows her brows at it, trying to figure out it's purpose and how it works. yes, yebin has the mental age of a 70 year old, but that doesn't mean she's "boring". yebin makes the worst dad jokes ever and laughs at them herself. she also recommends the best books and her eyes light up whenever someone likes the same books as her. super stubborn, yebin wouldn't back down in an argument and probably gives the coldest silent treatments in the history of man. yebin dislikes really crowded places with a passion, especially parties. claims that the music hurts her head and there are too many desperate horny people who have the grossest pick up lines. she would much prefer staying at home with a good book or finding out about red pandas. doesn't know how to sugarcoat unless you're a child. her straightforwardness makes her seem scary but she's just an old fluff ball that makes really bad jokes. seems cold and intimidating at first because she's an introvert who has her head in a book all the time. get to know her and you'll take back everything you've said about her being scary.

——the two met when yebin was an intern at sm as a lyricist. all the other choices were taken. yebin lowkey wanted to avoid sm as she's denied an scout's offers and it would be awkward if she saw that scout. yebin was told to work on nct's songs for the new album they were preparing for and that's what she did. she would follow the main lyricist around and give some ideas. being the lyricist, she had to work with the members as well, especially mark and taeyong, who were also writing lyrics. when yebin was first introduced as an intern to nct, doyoung found her super charming. that day, yebin had woke up late and didn't have anytime to make sure she was pretty and presentable. she ended up showing up in a over sized sweater, an /actual/ messy bun, glasses and a random notebook for her to take notes in. she could hear the main lyricist tutting at her in their head and yebin was crying inside because she actually ran after getting off the bus and now her feet hurt. doyoung didn't pay much attention to her afterwards until taeyong and mark returned to the dorms after a lyric session. the two were saying how talented and interesting yebin was which sparked doyoung's interest. he cornered mark and asked for yebin's number which he ended up getting after a good ten minutes of persuading. doyoung's first message was a simple "hi" but it took yebin eons to respond. "Hello. Sorry, I was reading. Who is this?". doyoung then started to realize why mark and taeyong thought she was interesting from one text. she used full punctuation, not many people do over text. wondering how old she actually was, doyoung introduced himself and started to chat with her, wanting to know her more.

》yebin was pretty cautious. someone claiming to be a nct member over text? they might be lying and as people always said, "stranger danger" yebin would try to give as little information as possible just in case it was some creep. it wasn't until taeyong and mark told her that it was indeed, doyoung himself that yebin started to chat normally. but yebin's normal texting was grandma style - taking ages and nagging at him.
》yebin had gotten pretty close with him after a while. she had been using her phone more often because of him and she was lowkey worried about her eyesight. despite the fact that she was already wearing glasses due to her constantly reading. yebin expressed this to doyoung one day and since then, doyoung started coming to lyric writing sessions with mark and taeyong. seeing in real life, yebin started being awkward and getting flustered. she was never good with people and seeing the boy she had gotten along with really well over text in person was a little overwhelming. though she was awkward, after a few sessions, she started to warm up and treated him like she would normally treat a friend

》treating doyoung as friend, yebin didn't recognize her heart beating faster whenever his arm brushed against hers as a feeling of "like". as in, more than a friend. but when someone pointed out that the two looked like a sweet couple, yebin felt heat rushing up to her face and her heart beating even faster in her chest. though she was furiously denying it, she lowkey liked it. yebin would try to control her flushing face around doyoung but she'd sometimes stuff up by stuttering and getting flushed because she thinks that she's too obvious.

》making it his goal to befriend yebin after seeing her cautious responses, doyoung would always be the one texting her first. doyoung would try to eavesdrop on taeyong and mark's conversation whenever he hears yebin's name. "for science" he claims. doyoung would try to seem very gentlemanly in order for yebin to trust him and he'd resist the urge to throw his phone whenever yebin doesn't text back for a while.
》doyoung had never been more grateful for markyong when the two told yebin that it was actually nct's doyoung, not some stranger. his face lit up when yebin's replies started to reveal more of her personality and he found yebin more charming everyday. the only reason doyoung started to show up with markyong to lyric sessions was because of yebin though he'd never admit it. doyoung says that he just wants to "see the progress". doyoung would act like his normal self because, well, mark and taeyong were there and he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front a girl he was lowkey interested in. after yebin's internship was over, doyoung started asking her out on "friend dates", wanting to see her more.

》doyoung knew fully that yebin only treated him as a friend, nothing more. (wheezes at self. i'm so mainstream gdi) but even though he knew nothing of yebin's feelings, he wanted to be more to her. initiating skinship accidentally on purpose, doyoung was dropping several hints whenever they went out together. he would end up furious afterwards because "HOW DENSE IS SHE IM--". ending up returning to his fluffy self, doyoung's frustration would always fade away when yebin sends him a message on how fun it was.
