personality: he has a bit of a shy streak, appearing stoic and expressionless but once he becomes comfortable with you, you'll find kihyun to be quite clingy and talkative, willing to fill any silences. he's light-hearted and sometimes goes a little too far with his jokes when he's teasing someone, but he honestly doesn't mean for his words to be offensive--which is why he almost exclusively only jokes around with his friends, who know not to take his words to heart all the time.

kihyun is rather guillable since he trusts easily and wants to see the best in everyone, as such, it isn't rare for him to be involved in toxic friendships. he's  quite observant, able to read the atmosphere and pick up when when something is wrong or someone is acting strangely.

background: kihyun was raised in kukujuri, japan until his mother passed away when he was eleven. he, along with his younger sister moved to bucheon to live with their paternal grandparents while their father stayed in japan to work. he took up photography and dancing as ways to clear his mind from the stress of the whole situation. he only became interested in singing as a career after participating in a few musicals at his school and with the idea of becoming an idol, kihyun started attending cheonguk two years ago.
