- ### Exotic Smith
- You are a creator of armor, weapons, and other gadgets that are, to say the least, unconventional in the hands of the majority of people.
- What sort of techniques do you use to make your various creations? Are your tools more or less effective than their normal counterparts, or are they just up to par? Are you well-known for your creations, or have you still yet to become (in)famous for anything you've made?
- How did you start your life as an artisan of exotic armaments? Has your bloodline been creating them for generations, or were you the first to do so? Has your life of forging impacted your social or emotional life, or have you been able to stay relatively stable despite spending so long creating tools?

- **Tool Proficiencies:** Smith's tools

- **Languages:** One of your choice
- <div style='margin-top:-10px'></div>
- **Equipment:** A set of smith's tools, a simple weapon you have modified in some way, a small bit of steel or iron for tool construction, a blacksmith's apron, a set of common clothes, and a belt pouch with 5 gp inside of it.
- #### Feature: Armament Modification
- Your trade allows you to understand how to give small modifications to weapons and armor. Over the course of a short or long rest, provided you have at least 5 gp worth of metal, wood, or other materials required to augment a set of armor or a weapon, you can give that weapon a small unique quality. This might include a quarterstaff that collapses into itself to fit inside one's palm easily, a shield that has a clip allowing it to be easily strapped to one's back, a cane that can be opened up into a rapier, or other small modifications. These modifications are never substantial enough to change the weapon's damage or properties, or the AC granted by armor.
- #### Suggested Characteristics
- Due to your large amount of time in a forge, your mind may have adjusted to working with objects far more than with people. You might only think of how something would be useful to your work, be exceptionally awkward or brash when dealing with people, or you might not care for tradition, sentiment, or anything else about an object besides its practical uses.
