- I was considering making Poison SE against Bug and vice-versa like in gen 1, but Bugs aren't much better off than Ice defensively, and I couldn't make any logical justification for the latter

- IIRC, it's explained by the use of insecticides and insects being able to become immune to them if given enough time

- if you're referring to gen 1, there are a huge quantity of reasons that Psychic was OP; adding Steel only countered one thing
- first, due to a glitch, they weren't weak to Ghost, they were IMMUNE to it
- and there were shit-all for Ghost moves anyways
- their only weakness, Bug, had no powerful moves to actually use
- the strongest was... either Pin Missile or Twineedle, I forget
- in the case of Twineedle, its only user was weak to Psychic

- Ghosts could be also considered gaseous in nature
- and gasses do catch fire easily
