- After doing more research about this game it seems that its an all internet based games meaning if u block or alter steam in anyway u cant play it as it requires steam to access its world and play against and with other players. So, unless u purchased the game its really useless to download. Similar aspects to what Arenet did with the Guild Wars franchise. Further info can be found at the Steam store at store.steampowered.com/app/323470/
- Um, no you are wrong. You can play the entire game offline. At least storymode, local battles, etc. Each section in Toki Toki city has "online (insert mode here)" and "offline (insert mode here)".
- How do I know this? Because I've been playing it. But in order to practice against just an NPC (Player 2) you need another controller and you have to beat a few of the storyline chapters. Basically to unlock more and more things, you have to progress through the story. It doesn't hand you everything at the start in regards to the modes. Even offline local co-op.
- But your right - u shouldn't block the steam access. I didn't do that and it didnt even ask for steam verification. As the crack is already applied so it has all the Steam API in the folder.
- But this game is far from useless if you can't purchase it right now. You can play not only the entire story mode, but offline co-op, etc. Don't believe me? I'll fraps all modes.
- Please do some research before commenting like this. Or you know - play the game for more then 20 minutes. This is not a typical DBZ game. DIMPS are rewarding players for actually playing the story mode. As that's the entire focus for this game. You AFFECT the storymode. So they are basing all the unlocks, including the offline modes, on progression through the story. So if you can't play something you want to play offline such as local battles, try doing one more mission. I'm just beat Nappa and Vegeta and it seems I now have all the modes unlocked.
- So even if you owned the game, u would need to beat a few missions in story before u can play online battles.
- EDIT: I'm sure you can also use a hacked Steam Client, or one of those tunneling programs to play online battles with another player if ya wanted as well. But as I said above, the entire game world, can be played offline. Storymode, offline battles, co-op battles (off line), and I think even co-op parallel quests. (as long as it offers an offline option.) So what you said leads me to assume you haven't even started working on the story mode at all. Or heck - even explored Toki toki city. As everything has online/offline next to it. There's booths for both. They WOULD NOT make the game absolutely require online for everything considering it's still not feasible in ALOT of countries and even states in US to have internet 24/7.
- He may have a point. I've played the intro fights, created a character and cannot access the offline sections you mention (the robots mention that this unavailable at present) or find any "story mode" other than running around Toki Toki aimlessly.
- you have to keep playing the story until it tells you you've unlocked these areas in TokiToki city. (PQ, item shop, skillshop, etc)
