- @kavyawyld I am Arab and not Israeli, so I have every reason to be impartial, and yet here I am, a Zionist, because I believe in speaking the facts and truth.
- The territories that are now under the name "Gaza" were indeed part of Israel just last century, and for good reason. Israel gained control of the Gaza Strip from Egypt in the 1967 Six-Day War (a defensive war from Israel's side) when the entire conflict was started by Arabs and their leaders at the time. From 1967 to 2005, it was under Israeli military administration - something that is much-needed when everyone in the region is out to murder you in your own historical homeland after being liberated after several millennia of various slaveries and occupations (Roman Empire, later the Ottoman Empire, as two examples). In 2005, Israel unilaterally disengaged from the Gaza Strip, forcibly removing over 8000 Israeli citizens and all military presence in a bid for peace. This was an attempt from Israel's part to establish peace by removing every single Israeli citizen and soldier (which by the way, Western media conveniently ignores as well). Of course, Hamas then didn't just win any old elections, but seized power from Fatah via an utterly violent coup in 2007. So Israel gave the territory over to Palestinian Authority governance in the hope of peace. Hamas then violently seized it from them. Congratulations, you caught me in one single inaccurate statement, wherein the outcome and intent remains exactly the same as my initial comment stated. So regardless of whether you agree that it was given away or not, the fact of the matter is that Hamas forcibly took it with the purpose of establishing complete dominion and destroying Israel, which has been the goal of almost every Islamic state in the Middle East, all while Israel had every right under the very International Law you are attempting to cite to keep the territory under its rule.

- The article is from 2007.
- Going back to Ancient History, when the Kingdom of Israel and Judah existed, you will find that the territory never belonged to any bloody Arab on the planet, but first Philistia (which **also** waged aggressive conflicts towards Ancient Israel at the time) and then it was part of one of the 12 Tribes of Ancient Israel and Judah.

- As for the blockade, the IDF formed it **after** Hamas violently took over Gaza, as a response to the intensification of terrorist missile attacks on Israeli civilians. It's a security measure, not a punishment. Further, even Egypt maintains a strict blockade on its border with Gaza for its own security reasons, which is always conveniently omitted during these discussions. An "open-air prison" doesn't have luxury hotels, restaurants, water parks, or fancy markets, all of which existed in Gaza. The restrictions are on dual-use materials that can and HAVE BEEN used for terrorism multiple times.
- Src: Literally googling "Egypt Gaza border blockade Rafah crossing" states that Egypt has enforced a blockade as well, regardless of whether the rest of the information in each source is accurate or not. What you can be certain of is that anti-Israel narratives seek to demonize Israel for protecting itself from Hamas' terrorism.
- The IDF have established humanitarian corridors and safe zones while combating Hamas terrorists. This hardly sounds like an open-air prison - especially when the IDF are the only people who truly care about civilian safety and want to rid the entire Middle East from terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, the Iranian regime, and so on.
- Furthermore, the term "Palestinian refugee" is defined uniquely and squarely by UNRWA to be inheritable indefinitely, which is unlike any other refugee population in the world handled by the UNHCR. The original refugees from the 1948 war (a war of terrorism and aggression started by Arab states following the reestablishment and freeing of Israel from Ottoman and British rule) are very few, and largely motivated to leave by Arab leaders at the time with promises to "push all the Jews into the sea." The vast majority of those who are labeled "refugees" today have never been displaced and were born in Gaza. When Israel accepts everyone into its territory, but neighboring Arab states refuse in order to use this manufactured, artificial "crisis" as a political peon against Israel, and the people themselves refuse to go to Israel, nobody has any place to make claims of displacement or expulsions. Further, this "Nakba" false narrative purposefully erases the history of the ~850000 Jewish refugees, probably more than that too, who were violently expelled from Arab countries at the time of the reestablishment of Israel. **That** is a true refugee crisis, because Israel, even to this day, has a big Arab population. UNRWA itself has been proven to house terrorists, terrorist sympathizers and affiliates, not innocent humanitarian workers.

- Go directly to UNRWA's own website and compare their official definition of a "Palestine refugee" which is inheritable, with the UNHCR's definition which does **not** have the inheritable status. It's a fabricated narrative, plain and simple, used against Israel because those Arabs stubbornly refuse to integrate themselves in Israeli and Jewish society, when Arab-Israelis boast the best and most fruitful rights and freedoms in the entire Middle East. "Apartheid" my ass. So the people who live in Gaza weren't "expelled" by Israel - they left on their own due to Arab leader calls and general fear of war (started by Arab leaders again), so not only do they for whatever reason have an inheritable refugee status, but they were never refugees in the first place. Those who stayed gained Israeli citizenship, and Israel has a thriving Arab community which day by day volunteers to help the IDF in their shared fight against terrorism.
- And next time when you decide to start a debate, I also advise you not to use an LLM like ChatGPT with a few extra periods sprinkled here and there to write your post. It's not just the wording but the punctuation that makes that crystal clear.
- Oh, and one last thing because it's important to mention as well - you cannot make claims about "Palestinian" territories if the term "Palestinian" was coined in the 1960s and 1970s as part of the anti-Israel propagandist movement. "Palestine" never existed - not as a state, not as a nation, and it never belonged to any Arabs in the first place. The only reason Islam spread into the region is the Ottoman Empire's tyranny. The term "Palestina" itself was fabricated by the Roman Empire after they enslaved and conquered all of Ancient Israel and Judah, as part of a defamation tactic - to offend Jews and attempt to erase their connection to the land. Even in the 1920s and 1930s, Arabs hated being called "Palestinians" because the term was instead associated with the Jewish population by antisemites.
- So, it's Israeli territory, it belongs to Israel and rightfully so for various reasons and fair, compliant ethical military conduct.
- And then in the 1960s and 1970s, Jordan civil war this, terrorists vs. terrorists that, forceful occupation of the West Bank (which was ALSO Israeli but was granted to Muslim populations in Jordan as part of the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan, and as a reminder, the "refugees" have 57 Islamic states to go to and be independent in, so don't target the ONE Jewish State that was freed after millennia).
