Scene 3: Resolve

Spending a total of 6 and a half days on building a foundation of concepts and mental constructs to build off of Neklous was finally ready to begin stepping onto the bounds of time magic.

The only thing to do now was to self-reflect and see if this was the path he truly wanted to follow. If he could get passed this self-reflection, he wouldn't doubt his reasonings and actions for traveling such a route and in the future his foundation in this path would be unbelievable firm and unshakeable.

"There are so many other magics I could have pursued.."

"So many other factions I could have joined to have an easy route.."

"Why did I choose this one? Why am I so drawn to this type of magic when it is so hard to touch upon and even harder to understand"

Neklous himself was confused at himself as to why he chose this magic. Something about it though made his hands itch and lured his mind towards it. He wanted to unravel its mysteries and deepest secrets. He wanted to understand why he was so fascinated and obsessed with a magic that was so untouched by the people of Esshar.

Neklous had looked into and studied all types of magic though he never applied himself to getting beyond the studying point and actually learning the magic within the ones he studied. He would always loose focus and end up being undecided on what magic he really wanted to invest career into.

He was 18 yet unlike the others he had not even learned the basics of any magic or martial art. He carried a sword around but knew no techniques of a swordsman. All though he participated in his family's hellish training time to time, that only developed his physique and not so much cultivation in magic.

Neklous knew that the only reason his family hasn't discarded him was because of his older brother Vytal who was a rising star; excelling in both martial arts and magic. Despite Neklous knowing his brother's prestige was the only thing keeping him safe for the time being, he was carefree and unburdened.

"The snow... its so beautiful"

He all of a sudden commented out of the blue. The snow reminded him of himself. Not cold but blank and distant. His cousin Zeitan pursued Ice magic which Neklous assumed was due to being inspired by the wintery season.

What Neklous saw was not coldness though when he looked at the snow. Unlike Zeitan who formed his magic around the properties of it, Neklous was inspired by the emotions the wintery weather bring. He looked passed its touch and it as a reflection of himself.

"Perhaps this is my dao.. my purpose for why I carry myself the way I carry myself and handle things the way I handle.."

"I have no help.. no guidance.. I am all alone yet I still dare to step forth.."

"I will build this path with my very two hands and feet."

"The world shall renounce me as the one of the founding fathers of time."

Sitting down in a monk-like fashion, Neklous once again began to cultivate and finally begin his steps to break into the boundaries of time magic. His cultivation method was no longer the 'Battle meditation' he had used before in the beginning. He had spent 4 days creating a new one inspired after studying a frog in hibernation. It was half-assed and needed lots of improvements but what Neklous prized it for was that it would allow him to fall into a deeper cultivated state than the battle meditation did.

This cultivation method was called 'false death reawakening method". what it basically did was allowed Neklous to mimic's a frogs bodily functions during hibernation. Just like a frog his heart, lungs and other bodily organs would stop. Only a small percentage of the brain which governed consciousness and magic still functioned like normal yet at a slower rate. This would not only allow Neklous to dive further into his consciousness due to being in a unique state similar to a coma yet closure to death, it would also allow Neklous to go an estimated month in a half without eating and defecating. He would spend months and a half at a time purely cultivating before he would have to stop and recover his energy before going back into his consciousness.

"My will is firm and unshakeable"

"My decision is absolute and unquestionable"

"My path is already set in stone and written down in history"

"There is no turning back.."

As if speaking out oaths to the world, Neklous solified everything he had done until now and made peace with the world. His vision began to blur and darken as his new cultivating method was taking effect and shutting down his body slowly. Just before he slipped into a deep hibernated state though his final words could be heard within a distance before he was blown away into the cold winds.

"When I awaken...the world shall know my name... Neklous Endore, The wolf that forged the path of time."
