Scene 7

"I will be back"

Neklous said towards the voice of the as the world finally completely shattered becoming an abyss of darkness before eventually turning into a world of white lights.

*Cough* *cough*

Somewhere far below the clouds on a snowy mountain peak, a red headed Ookami climbed out the sea of snow that had covered him throughout the constant days of snowfall.

Steam rose from his body as it thawed and he slowly came out of the false death cultivated state.

*Cough* *cough!* x10

Coughing could be heard from the distance as Neklous fought to catch a breath as his organs started to work again and function like they normally would. His throat felt more parched than the desert while his stomach growled so loud that even dragons would think close before coming near.

He quickly allowed his body to adjust before taking out a few bowls of stir fry and devouring them whole. The bowls of stir fry were latterly gone in gulps if not less.

Inspecting his body to make sure everything was okay. He noticed black tattoo marking going up and down his arms. The tattoos were both generally the same yet when they converged at the palm of his within the  pupil less eyes, they had different rune symbols. The rune symbol in the center of Neklous left hand glowed a faint light green color and translated to 'Past' while the rune symbol on his right hand glowed a greyish color and translated to 'Future'.

Quickly having an idea of what was happening, Neklous spent a short moment collecting himself before he got off the ground and decided to try out the capabilities of these rune tattoos.

"The wolf said when I use this magic.. I am not in the present anymore but either a few hours in the past or a few seconds in the future. Hmm..."

Raising his right hand which had the runic symbol 'future' imbedded into it, he conjured a few simple spheres made of mana.  After he willed the 'future' runic symbols into them, the spheres of mana turned a dark gray in color.

"Lets test this out.." Neklous said with calm and collected tone.

Pushing the spheres forward he aimed it at a near by tree. The spheres flew towards the tree at an astonishing speed but as soon as they were about to hit it they disappeared.

"What's going on? Maybe It doesn't work that wa-"

Before Neklous could finish his statement, he personally witnessed the get taller and turn darker. Its branches wilted to the side as if they would fall off at any given moment. Overall it appeared that the tree had aged a bit.

"All things in the future are guaranteed to age at they live longer. The future of this tree meant growing old. I can not force it to die with this magic but I can definitely bring it closure. It will be up to fate what type of death it will have."

"Now time for the next test"

Pulling out his blade Neklous aimed it horizontally towards his stomach and pushed inwardly.

"Pshhh!"

"ARH!"

A noise of a blade stabbing flesh resounded through the small mountain peak. Neklous face turned purple as he quickly regretted doing this. Even though the blade didn't penetrate his stomach deeply, it still hurt like hell none the less. This probably wasn't once of Neklous's smartest choices when it came to making a decision.

Raising his left hand towards his abdomen, the pupil less eye opened inside of his palm, revealing a runic symbol that translated to 'Past'. Pressing the runic symbol onto the wound, the wound quickly healed as if it never happened to begin with. No scars.. no blood.. nothing.

"Although this is nice that it makes the wound disappear, the pain is still unpleasant so lets refrain from getting injured." Neklous said to himself.

Neklous could have been considered to have made a breakthrough in his cultivation. This was his first magic he had ever invested into and to say the least, he was proud of himself. Although his cultivation journey would only get harder, the bountiful rewards in it would only increase.

Deciding to go into his snow covered tent, Neklous decided it was time he slept for a while after achieving such a feat. Darkness surround Neklous once more as he lost consciousness and fell into a deep slumber.
