  1. Name: Llyr, the Shrieking Devil, the Banshee of the Boreas
  2.
  3. Gender: Male
  4.
  5. Age: 26
  6.
  7. Species: Siren
  8.
  9. Occupation: Captain
  10.
  11. Affiliation: The Boreas
  12.
  13. Appearance: Elegant and regal, Llyr stands at 5'9, with a wash of curly hair that could never be tamed. His eyes are a piercing blue, like the very ocean he made his home. He is tattooed with old runes and other symbolic things, such as the same brand all members of the Boreas crew receive--a bird in flight, placed right on a shoulder of their choosing. He is built hardily, and usually dressed in his mother's long blue coat, her big ol' pirate hat, and her prized pistol at his hip.
  14.
  15. Personality: Overconfident and cocky, Llyr exudes a very "I see what's mine, I take it" vibe. He's very used to getting what he wants, and usually tries to do anything to keep that status quo intact. UNBELIEVABLY sociable. Loves talking. It's both a blessing and a curse--blessing because he can usually talk himself out of any situation, and a curse because he just doesn't shut up. He doesn't let most folks close, but if you get in his good graces, you've basically got a guy who'll ride or die.
  16.
  17. History: Years ago, the taverns bustled with tales of a great treasure held within the Cove of Llyr--one so valuable, they say, a Siren mercilessly killed all who came to collect it. Hearing this tale, and believing it could lead them on the winds of fortune, the pirates of the Boreas sailed in search of this grand treasure. When they arrived, they were greeted both by husks of fallen ships, and by the Siren of lore.
  18. A well-placed shot to the heart from the captain took the beast out before she could destroy them all. Eagerly, the victorious captain went to claim her prize, and what she found broke the heart of herself, and her entire crew. They found a treasure beyond measure, one so valuable it became priceless.
  19.
  20. They found a baby, a baby whose scream pierced the air so loudly that there was no way it could not have been the child of the Siren now laying dead.
  21.
  22. Wracked with guilt, and out of a sense of obligation to the deceased mother, the captain of the Boreas took the child and raised him as her own, naming him after the cove they found him in. Llyr took to pirating as if he were born to do so, and when the time came, his mother handed off the mantle of captain from herself...to her son.
  23.
  24. Llyr was a far different captain than his mother. He was young, he was powerful, he was ready to take life by the throat and squeeze until it bent to his will. With the ferocity of a thousand suns, Llyr took to the seas, his heart set aflame by its own passion. He gained a name for himself, the devil who could make even the burliest of captains flee with nothing but a single, sweet word...and perhaps a scream of unholy magnitude, for extra measure.
  25.
  26. He's off in search of fame to be gotten, treasure to be plundered, and whatever else the high seas can offer, all with the company of his crew/family.
  27.
  28. Other notes: He's a fantastic singer, and he can spin a tale that'll get anyone sucked in--which is good for him, because, the more enthralled someone becomes, the easier it becomes to work his natural charm and get people to do what he wants. His Siren Song is an old lullaby his adoptive mother (along with the rest of the crew) would sing him to calm him during particularly rough sailing, "the Parting Glass".
