- After being exiled from the infernal realm on the grounds of heresy, Seeker the tiefling discarded the mantle of princess with little hesitation, and ventured out into the material plane, hoping to find the adventure and friendship that had gotten her banished from her homeland. Having been sheltered as a result of her royal status, and confined to the hellish realm, Seeker was little prepared for the harsh, unaccepting reception she received upon entering the idyllic village of Sharyshire. While she was accustomed to the xenophobic nature of people - as her own demonic kin had been averse to the races of the material plane - she was not prepared to be pelted with debris and chased out of the vicinity merely for being of the infernal race. Despite her usual cheery disposition, Seeker was taken aback by the resentment of the villagers and was suddenly haunted by feelings of loneliness - having been estranged from two societies in such a short space of time. Falling into a melancholy sleep, Seeker’s childlike impulse to make friends was reflected in her dreams.
- An assortment of pastel greens created an enclosure-like environment in which Seeker sat in the middle; almost like a clearing in a forest, but without any details. Squinting, she attempted to make out any defining qualities, but no amount of focus highlighted any distinct features or characteristics. It took a few moments for Seeker to recognise a presence behind her. Turning slowly, she was dumbfounded by the sheer size of great oak tree before her. Face-like imprints adorned the tree halfway between the roots and the boughs, giving it an almost-comical, personified appearance. The impression of humour faded quickly, however, as an immense presence forced itself into Seeker’s mind. Intimidating at first, she recoiled in fear attempting to mentally flee from the foreign invader of her thoughts. This fear also faded fast, however, as emotions, thoughts and impulses entered Seeker’s mind, which she quickly discovered were originating from the tree.
- Waking the following morning, Seeker remembered little of her dream, other than the mental image of a tree and the distinct feeling that she had made a new friend.
