- >Day 1 in The Reaper's Game...
- >"Here are your pins!"
- >A black pin with a white skull-like thing on it appears in front of you.
- >You take it, adding it to your one-pin collection.
- >Your other pin is called Blink Step, by Pavo Real.
- >Flipping this new pin, suddenly, you hear a bunch of voices.
- >They seem rather personal, and you can hear captions above people's heads.
- >The hell..?
- >"They let you read minds. It's bitchin', I know."
- >Ah, that explains it.
- >"Alright, that's it. Good luck, especially you, Brett*!"
- >How did they know...?
- >After the Reaper teleports away, the Noise appeared.
- >Flipping your Blink Step pin, you wait for something similar to happen.
- >Nothing happens.
- >You're fucked.
- >"Hey! Brett*!"
- >Huh?
- >You turn to the voice, wondering how they know who you are.
- "It's Anon, and who are you?"
- >"Make a pact with Trixie!"
- >Who the hell is Trixie?
- >Whoever she is, you are both surrounded by noise.
- >She's a blue coated, silver(two shades) maned pony.
- "Alright, I accept."
- >A flash of light.
- >There would be a kickass cutscene but I can't draw, lel.
- >"You have a pin, correct?"
- "Yeah, but-"
- >"Good! Then let us destroy these slimy things!"
- >Slimy?
- >Huh, the symbols are now frogs.
- >Another flash of light, and...where did everybody go?
- >You see those frogs again.
- "What do I do?!"
- >You do the one thing you're good at.
- >Running around like a maniac.
- >You run as fast as you can, and holy shit you're invisible!
- >At least, until you stop running.
- >A frog leaps, and kicks off you.
- >Fuck that hurts.
- >You resume running as a frog kicks you again.
- >While you're invisible, it seems you're invulnerable to damage.
- >You repeat your running until suddenly, you're not invisible anymore.
- >Oh shit.
- >However, when a frog is about to kick you, it...disappears?
- >Convenient.
- >You continue running, and after a few seconds, you're invisible again.
- >Must need recharging, or something.
- >You continue running, and running faster when invisibility wears off, and having the frogs conveniently disappear.
- >Eventually, all the frogs are gone.
- >Hey, there's a pin.
- >It says 5, and has a bit symbol on it.
- >Then, another flash of light.
- >That other pony is there, panting.
- >"Why does it feel like Trixie did all the work?"
- "What do you mean?"
- >"Trixie was fighting off the Noise."
- >Oh, those frogs.
- >Wait, does that mean...
- "Okay, what's-your-face-"
- >"It's Trixie."
- "Whatever. So you were fighting those frogs?"
- >She nods.
- "How? I was practically powerless against them."
- >"With her pins."
- >She levitates a few pins towards you.
- >One of them is a Pavo Real pin. Meteor Magnet, you believe.
- >The other is a Pegaso pin, the same brand that made your clothes. Jack's Knight, if memory serves you correctly.
- "I have pins, too, but they did jackshit!"
- >You show her your Blink Step pin, and Player Pin.
- >"The Player Pin is useless. As for that other one, was there something in the other Plane that you could do?"
- "Well, I could turn invisible. Although what's a pla-"
- >*BEEP BEEP*
- >The sound is coming from your phone, a Motorola Milestone x2.
- >It can't run Chrome, so that should give you an idea of how much it sucks.
- >You have a single message.
- >'Whoops, forgot to send out the mission. Get to the Appaloosa Town Hall. You have 10 minutes. Fail, and face erasure.'
- "Spambots are getting weirder."
- >"Brett, you fool! It's for the Game!"
- "Again, it's Anon, whoever you are!"
- >"Trixie."
- "Whatev-"
- >Suddenly, pain surges through your left hand.
- "Shit!"
- >The pony winces in pain as well.
- >You look at your left hand as she looks at her left hoof.
- >There's a timer, counting down from 9:59.
- >Doesn't seem like a countdown to a party, given the black font with a red outline.
- "And this is...?"
- >"Our timers. Weren't you paying attention?"
- "Oh, right."
- >You only really heard the entire 'here's your free stuff' part.
- "So we better get to the town hall."
- >"Correct."
- >The two of you start running.
- >After a quick run, the two of you find yourselves at the town hall.
- >The pony gives you the lowdown on what you didn't listen to in the beginning.
- >Apparently, you died.
- >You were surprised, to say the absolute least.
- >By that, I mean...well, remember how Omi reacted to being trapped in the mime episode of Xiaolin Showdown?
- >It was something like that.
- >Now that she mentions it, you vaguely remember jaywalking and getting hit by a chariot...
- >When asked as to how she died, the pony didn't respond.
- >Well, you don't blame her.
- >You also have to survive seven days worth of missions, one per day.
- >Considering that today's was just go to the town hall, how hard can it be?
- >The pony agrees with you.
- >Sure enough, you're at the Town Hall.
- "Alright, that was easy."
- >"Trixie agrees."
- >"It's not over until I say it's over, kids!"
- >You turn to the source of the voice.
- >There's a yellow coated, orange haired stallion laying down on the Town Hall roof.
- "Who the hell are you?"
- >"Name's Noteworthy."
- >...What? It was the first pony I thought of.
- >"Alright, today's mission was boring, I know. But it was just a warm up for the main event."
- "How so?"
- >"Because this is the part where I kill you for good."
- >He tosses a couple black blobs towards you and the pony.
- >They land in front of you, and materialize into Noise.
- >Oh shit, one of them's a bear.
- "Hey, Bluey?"
- >"It's Trixie!"
- "Whatever. Hope you're ready to do all the work."
- >"We're getting you some actual pins after this."
- >Another flash, and you're alone again, with the bear and frogs.
- >Meanwhile, from Trixie's point of view...
- >You can't believe it. You keep telling him your name, and he still forgets it.
- >They weren't kidding about your sacrifice.
- >There's the bear and slimy, creepy, frogs.
- >Ugh. You hate them.
- >You get to business, concentrating on one of the frogs.
- >Soon enough, meteors strike it.
- >When the meteors stop, you fire a nearby sign for some restaurant at it, finishing it off.
- >You launch the sign at the other frog some more until it disappears into nothingness.
- >You try sending the sign at the bear, but the pin needs to reboot.
- >Back to meteors!
- >You send some meteors at the bear, stunning it, before attempting to launch the sign again.
- >Sure enough, it hits the bear in the head.
- >You beat it up with the sign some more, before returning to the meteors.
- >The process repeats for a while, before it, too, is defeated.
- >No thanks to Brett, of course.
- >Why does he insist on Anon, though?
- >Your question remains unanswered as another flash of light occurs.
- >Back to Anon.
- >You pick up the pins, still marked with a 5 and bit symbol.
- >The flash of light engulfs you as you return to the normal Plane.
- >There's the blue pony, again.
- >Noteworthy is gone, however.
- "So, that's that for that."
- >You turn to the pony.
- "Thanks again, I guess."
- >"You're welcome. That said, it's time we did some shopping."
- >As she walks off, suddenly, you black out...
- >Meanwhile...
- >"Noteworthy, excellent job. More than half the players have been erased."
- >"I know, I know, Clover."
- >"That's Conductor to you."
- >"Whatever. Now, I gotta prep for the next day, if you'll excuse me."
- >"You are excused."
- >"In that case, ciao."
