- For whatever reason, with WoonRO's GRF, GRF Factory can't properly extract files out of it. Easy solution is to use two tools, one for extracting, one for packing.
- Extracting:
- 1) grab grf tool http://blaster3.net/ro/stuff/grftool-win32-1.2.0.zip
- 2) Extract it anywhere
- 3) Create a new empty directory anywhere on your computer called "data"
- 4) Open GRF Tool, and Open -> Point to GRF you want
- 5) search for ba_frostjoke.txt (or just "frost")
- 6) Extract it to the data directory you created in step 3
- Edit the file as you will, be sure to retain the # of lines
- Packing:
- 1) grab grf factory: http://blaster3.net/ro/stuff/gf.zip
- 2) Extract it anywhere
- 3) Open GRF Factory, and Open -> Point to GRF you want
- 4) We first want to remove the old ba_frostjoke.txt file. Filter works on the absolute value that you feed it, but supports wild cards. So if you type "frost" and hit Filter, it will look for files inside of the GRF that are named *exactly* "frost". But you want ba_frostjoke.txt, so you can either type that, or you can type "*frost*"
- 5) Once you find ba_frostjoke.txt in the GRF, press "Delete Sel". After you do so, a red X should appear to the left of its index number in the "index" column.
- 6) Click "Add Dir", add the "data" directory you created that contains your edited TXT file
- 7) After you do so, it should show a file to be added (signified by the green plus symbol in index column), and "data\ba_frostjoke.txt" in the "filename" column.
- 8) Click repack, save in your RO folder.
