° if you noticed, both yurim and jongin are from suncheon. that's how they met. thry went to the same elementary school before jongin moved out when he became an sm trainee and lived in seoul. it's not like they were best friends, but they were somewhat known to each other but they never talked. one day, (It was his 2nd year in exo, aka 2014, and her 4th year as a trainee) their mutual friend called them over at night in a cafe, for a reunion with other people. since yurin was well-known for being a sm trainee, jongin was surprised that they had been to the same school. they sparked up a conversation and have been friends (hehe) ever since.
