Paper Jam No IBG FAQ

Q: What is IBG?
A: Instant Battle Glitch, it can let you skip fights entirely by dying in them. To execute this, you must leave a toad mission using an out of bounds trick to store the mission state for normal gameplay, that trick is banned in this category. Note: If toad storage was faster for anything besides using IBG than it would still be allowed. (See the Any% Run for use of IBG)

Q: What is different from any%?
A: I need to go to the Twinsy Tropics for Battle Cards which can let me essentially double my damage output. Yes I need to do this, Kamek already takes long enough. However, b/c we need battle cards Trio Grab is no longer out of the way and thus we can do a different route that skips Trio Drill.

Q: You are still dying, I thought that was banned?
A: This run still uses death abuse to abuse an in game mechanic that lets you skip minigames by dying in them enough times, this does not work for boss battles. Also dying in a fight restores you to full HP when you retry it so sometimes that is used in the run.
