Shortening Stuff

*THIS IS ALL MY OPINION AND I'M DUMB*

So I think shortening stuff in general is a good idea, however there are a few ways to go about it.

First, I think if the shortening you go with should be:
A.) The one with the least syllables
B.) The one that sounds best.

For example, with Eastern Palace. "EP" and "Eastern" have the same amount of syllables. However, Eastern is a word that we are familiar with so that's what we call it.

Usually with this you shorten it to a word, but sometimes that's not the best option. For example (ignoring opinions on the name itself)shortening Desertless Desert Palace Skip to "Desertless" doesn't really make sense because it's too vague and it's not really a word we use ever. So even though "Desertless" is less syllables than "DDPS", "DDPS" is a better shortening because it's less confusing.

Another example would be with Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. I prefer to call the game "Aria", while many prefer AoS. Aria is a unique enough word where people usually know what I'm referring to in context, while AoS isn't as recognizable and is more syllables.
