- Simple Guide to Unbanning Your 3DS
- THIS GUIDE ASSUMES YOU HAVE A9LH+LUMA3DS

- NNID Ban

- If your NNID is banned, then you'll have to make a new one, meaning you'll lose any information that is tied to your NNID (eShop purchases, PokeBank, etc.). This new NNID will not be able to use the eShop, but you will be able to play online again. You will NOT lose your saves. Skip to step 4 if you already have a way to chainload Decrypt9.
- This guide should also work if you change your 3DS's region to allow you to play online (although I haven't tested this personally).
- 1. Download the latest release of Decrypt9WIP (https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases)
- 2. Take Decrypt9WIP.bin from the downloaded zip and place it in SD:/luma/payloads/
- 3. Rename Decrypt9WIP.bin to X_Decrypt9WIP.bin
- 4. Download this blank nnidsave.bin: https://mega.nz/#!6sZnkBrb!KwGQ2BHc6JaCfb7BqF-IZJoWlPm65vqIZuAHGe8i_bc
- 5. Put nnidsave.bin into SD:/files9/ (create the files9 folder if it doesn't exist)
- 6. Put your SD card back into your 3DS
- 7. Hold X while you power on your 3DS to launch Decrypt9
- 8. Select "SysNAND Options"
- 9. Select "System Save Inject"
- 10. Select "Inject nnidsave.bin"
- 11. Confirm injecting nnidsave.bin by inputting the button combination
- 12. Press Start to reboot your 3DS
- 13. Go into System Settings from your HOME Menu
- 14. Tap "Nintendo ID Settings" at the top of the touch screen
- 15. Create a new NNID

- This method requires a LocalFriendCodeSeed_B that has not been banned. You can either find one online or dump one from an unbanned 3DS. This guide will assume you have an extra, unbanned 3DS with A9LH+Luma3DS; if you don't, skip to step 15.
- 1. Download the latest release of Decrypt9WIP (https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases)
- 2. Take Decrypt9WIP.bin from the downloaded zip and place it in SD:/luma/payloads/ on BOTH 3DS's
- 3. Rename Decrypt9WIP.bin to X_Decrypt9WIP.bin on BOTH 3DS's
- 4. Create a folder named files9 on the root of both SD cards if it doesn't exist
- 5. Reinsert the unbanned 3DS's SD card into the unbanned 3DS
- 6. Hold X while you power on the unbanned 3DS to launch Decrypt9
- 7. Select "SysNAND Options"
- 8. Select "System File Dump"
- 9. Select "Dump LocalFriendCodeSeed_B"
- 10. Confirm dumping LocalFriendCodeSeed_B by pressing A
- 11. Press B to return to Decrypt9's menu
- 12. Hold Left and press Start to power off the unbanned 3DS
- 13. Remove the SD card from the unbanned 3DS and put it into your computer
- 14. Back up LocalFriendCodeSeed_B from SD:/files9/ onto your computer (we're now done with the unbanned 3DS)
- 15. Copy LocalFriendCodeSeed_B into SD:/files9/ of the banned 3DS's SD card
- 16. Reinsert the banned 3DS's SD card into the banned 3DS
- 17. Hold X while you power on the banned 3DS to launch Decrypt9
- 18. Select "SysNAND Options"
- 19. Select "System File Inject"
- 20. Select "Inject LocalFriendCodeSeed_B"
- 21. Confirm injecting LocalFriendCodeSeed_B by inputting the button combination
- 22. Press Start to reboot your 3DS
