- Tales of Destiny Load Time comparisons
- These are comparing certain load screen times to each console. Load times vary on certain battles and screen transitions. I tested all of these on the Draconis right after you acquire Dymlos. Playstation 2 model used: SCPH-50001 (Fat PS2). ePSXe 1.9.0 was used for emulator timing. Playstation 3 Slim was used for timing. More testing will be done when I get a PS2 Slim and JP PS2 Slim for JP ToD loading tests. More tests will be done later and I'll edit this pastebin when I get to logging that.
- Retreating from battle (Timing started at "Retreat" popping up during battle to exact frame to have control of Stahn)
- Playstation 1: 126 Frames 12.646-16.850 (4.204 seconds)
- Playstation 2: 92 Frames 11.845-14.915 (3.07 seconds)
- Playstation 3: 127 Frames 12.946-17.184 (4.238 seconds)
- Emulator: 188 Frames 11.250-14.383 (3.133 seconds)
- Winning the battle (Timing started on the exact frame of the final enemy dying in battle to the frame to control Stahn after the end of battle.
- Playstation 1: 249 frames 00:26.026-00:34.334 (8.308 seconds)
- Playstation 2: 218 Frames 00:38.171-00:44.444 (6.273 seconds)
- Playstation 3: 250 Frames 00:42.242-00:50.584 (8.342 seconds)
- Emulator: 433 Frames 00:30.200-00:37.417 (7.217 seconds)
- Entering Battle (Timing starts as Stahn is initiated into battle from visible enemy on the draconis to the frame after battle which you can control Stahn again.
- Playstation 1: 201 Frames 0:00:03.670-00:10.377 (6.707 seconds)
- Playstation 2: 188 Frames 00:02.763-00:09.009 (6.246 seconds)
- Playstation 3: 217 Frames 00:23.590-00:30.831 (7.241 seconds)
- Emulator: 339 Frames 00:16.667-00:22.317 (5.65 seconds)
- Next load tests: Screen transitions, Belecrant cutscene blackouts, Spell load times.
- So far: PS2 > Emulator >>> PS1 > PS3
