Quitting in speedrunning -- of all the tricks and skips we do as runners, this is one that's rarely executed successfully. You can't quit and come back; that translates into time away: a break. Quitting, to me, implies never coming ba--.....

Well, regardless.. I've decided my retirement hit too soon. I will say I envisioned writing a LOT more here, but that's the bottom line. Part of me wishes I had written daily into a journal throughout the month of October. A lot went through my head. There was for sure a part of me that wanted to walk away from it all and never turn back, mostly for personal/health reasons, but there's still so much I enjoy and so many great people that I really can't leave it all behind. Plus, quitting watching streams is fucking hard. I lasted a few days or something heh. And if I'm going to watch, I'm going to want to play -- just another of many facets pulling me back!


So what's my plan?

I am going to AGDQ.
I am continuing to take a break until after AGDQ, so no streams or anything for the rest of the year. (I still need & want a break...)

I will probably never speedrun Spyro games again -- that's a part that isn't coming back -- except if I can see about running Spyro 1 on PAL.



Eventually things WILL change. Hobbies cease to be. Lives take a turn down a new path. Odd to think about the future sometimes. I won't be at this forever; none of us will. But shit, when the scene still interests me as much as it does, my time to go sure ain't now.
