Bring Ship Repair Material and a Traveler's Map, get your ass to Epheria, get on boat. Bring a rod to pass the time, weight gear can help if you don't want to go over.

>Do I need gear or levels? What about my own boat?
No real gear or level requirement. Higher weight limits help with carrying more loot. You don't need your own boat, just tag along and man the cannons.

>What exactly are "Sea Memes"?
There are three parts to Sea Memes: Guild Mission, Dailies, and Hunting.
* Guild Mission is a straight forward Margoria Subjugation mission, found in the Occupancy section of the Guild Mission list.
* Dailies require Beginner 3 Sailing and can be taken from Velia (Wharf Manager, 3 dailies) and Port Epheria (Imperial Fish Trader, has 3 dailies). You also need to be level 50-53 or something (need confirmation). These dailies reward sailing EXP and Breezy Crystals + Origin of Winds, which are items needed to refill boat power. Scroll down for db links to the quests.
* Hunting refers to killing sea monsters (Candidum/Nineshark) to obtain Sea Monster's Neidan and Shell drops. These drops are very heavy, but sell for a lot (funds go directly to the guild bank), increasing everyone's weekly pay. Hunting is the longest part of Sea Memes in terms of time commitment. Also, 9gags hit pretty hard so we mostly focus on Candidum.

>How do I get Beginner 3 Sailing?
Take the guild galley out and sail it in the fog for sailing EXP. You can do this with us when we go sailing one day, and if you aren't sure if you should take the boat, just ask. It's often parked in Epheria but the channel can vary (check Val2/Vel2/Calph2).
Note that you can trade in the dailies on an alt so if you want to distribute your sailing EXP among different characters, you can do so with turn-ins.

>How do I increase my weight?
* Weight Limit Increase (P2W cash shop, +200LT, +150LT, +100LT, +50LT)
* Hercules' Might Helm/Glove/Shoes set bonus (Marketplace, 200LT) and Zereth Armor (+50LT)
    * OR +2-5 Silver Embroidered Trader's Clothes (Marketplace, +200-300LT)
* Asula's belt (+100LT)
* Root Treant 5-piece set (Calpheon armor dealer, +100LT, costs like 1mil or some shit).
* Strength Training (afk auto-loop with a trade item in your inventory)

>Pro tips?
* Possibly hunt in Arsha for +50% drop rate, which helps on the golden shells (8%→12%). Whether it's worth or not depends on time of day and luck.
* Port Ratt has a daily from Guild Wharf Manager that gives more sailing EXP. The amount of EXP you get is based on distance, so Epheria gives the least and Ancado gives the most
* Bring 2+ Traveler's Maps, we've seen people glitch out at sea before when using map (rare but happens).
* If you go AFK, climb the mast or grab a cannon. This prevents you from taking damage.
* To use Breezy Crystal / Origin of Wind, hotkey it on your hotbar, then grab a cannon and press hotkey.
* Bring a fishing rod! It will help you pass the time.
* To see better at night or in storms, turn up gamma and turn down contrast.
* Shark suit helps to swim back faster when you inevitably fall off the boat like a tard (happens to everyone), but is by no means necessary.
* Keep at least 4 cannon balls in the reserve even when you're done hunting, to kill any spoopy goast ships that appear on your way home.
* If you find yourself unable to kill spoopy ship, relogging will make it disappear.
* btw if you want to invest the CP, then you can afk fish in Grana, connect Grana to port Ratt, and get trading EXP + distance bonus from selling your Grana fish at Ratt during the sea memes trip. Also if you connect
