I think I've literally visited part of the frontrooms? in a dream before.

  1. It was years ago, before I knew anything about internet culture.
  2. It was before anyone even posted about the backrooms on the internet.
  3.
  4. I either was ,or dreamed I was in my great-grandparents house. Their house is not very big. In the house there is a certain tiny hallway section where there are doors on three sides, I think there are two on both sides an one in the back, 3 of the 4 doors are bedrooms and one is the bathroom.
  5.
  6. Most of the house (and the front? rooms I was in) have grayish-tan soft solid color carpet, fake wood paneling on the bottom half of all the walls and peachy-whitish-brown colored paint on the top half of the walls.
  7.
  8. I like to explore buildings.
  9. I walked into one of the bedrooms and when I walked back out there seemed to be another door in the tiny hallway that I hadn't noticed or that hadn't been there before. I was very curious and only a little or not at all afraid. I went through that door (big mistake).
  10.
  11. At first it seemed be another bedroom almost exactly like the one I'd just been in. There was an oval shaped stand-up mirror in a wooden frame, with a hinge behind it's middle so it could rotate so you could get better views of your hair or your shoes if you so desired.
  12.
  13. But when I walked back out into the hallway, it had changed (I believe this is when I was definitely IN the frontrooms? and no longer in my great-grandparent's house). It had the same style and decor pattern about it, but it was slightly longer, had several more doors and a door at both ends instead of just one end.
  14.
  15. I wandered endlessly through bedrooms and living-rooms, connected to each-other and/or to more medium sized hallways like the first.
  16.
  17. There were many windows in the house and in these rooms, in the house the rooms looked out upon the sunlit yard, in these endless rooms the windows (if I ever looked at them I don't remember) looked out upon a sunlit endless plain of the same type of grass and maybe a few trees like the yard of the house but never ending, no roads or other buildings anywhere in sight.
  18.
  19. I began to notice the oval mirror against a wall in every room I entered.
  20.
  21. Feeling uneasy, at one point I stood in a door way and looked at the oval mirror in the room I was about to enter; then I looked back over my shoulder at the room I had just been in, which had also had the mirror in it.
  22.
  23. The oval mirror was gone!
  24.
  25. I looked in front of me again and there it was right where I'd most recently seen it, but right where I'd seen it just before that (in the room behind me), IT WASN'T.
  26.
  27. Now in a panic I ran from room to room. ALWAYS the oval mirror was in the room I was currently about to enter or was in. NEVER was the mirror in a room in which I had just left.
  28.
  29. Starting to despair I summoned my courage and stood facing the mirror as I stopped to rest.
  30.
  31. It looked like an ordinary mirror. Nothing inherently scary or unusual about it.

  43. Just then I heard a snap or a creak. One of the hinges holding the oval mirror on it's stand broke loose. The mirror started falling off of it's stand towards me. Startled, I took a few steps back.
  44.
  45. The mirror was still falling, it was close to upright but it was leaning and it's bottom was touching the floor where it had been suspended by the stand before the hinge broke, it began to fall sideways instead of continuing forward and it began to turn so that it was still falling towards me even though it was now falling sideways instead of face-forward.
  46.
  47. I ran out of the room. I looked back just in time to see the oval mirror standing longways up and down as it tilted sideways again. It was ROLLING.
  48.
  49. I ran as the oval mirror chased me rolling after me through endless rooms and hallways.
  50.
  51. At some point in time I awoke from the dream, relieved to be back in safe, predictable, reality.
