  5. ###CHARACTER BIO
  6.
  7. **Name:** Dr. Benjamin White ("The Iron Warden")
  8.
  9. **Age:** 27
  10.
  11. **Appearance:** 6'0", average figure, brown hair, brown eyes. He's been described as having "crazy eyes". He typically wears semi-professional clothes; a polo shirt and khakis at the most casual. He tries to look good. However when he's feeling wild he'll sometimes wear jeans and a T-shirt. When in "uniform" as the Warden, he wears a tan outfit with rust aesthetic and a welder's mask.

  13. Ben's suit looks like [this](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/VQkQ-2i-Nz0/maxresdefault.jpg), without the tubes and the chest box.
  14.
  15. **Mentality:** Ben is a good person. So he tells himself. He's from a good Christian family, raised with good Christian values. He protects the innocent and scorns evil. Hell, he's even a doctor, helping to heal the wounded. He's passionate about what he loves, and is quite the hard worker. He's a nice guy, someone you'd want to bring home to your parents. At a glance, he's on the straight-and-narrow all the way. However, it's never that simple, is it? In reality, Ben is a twisted man who, despite his technically correct moral compass, revels in the suffering of others. He's made it his life's mission to hunt down the wicked and the evil, and instead of giving them a merciful death, he lets them linger for a while in his private chambers. Few, if any, ever see this side of him. But when you do... your days are numbered. But you'll soon wish that number were a hell of a lot smaller.
  16.
  17. **Background:** Benjamin White was born in Texas to a fairly normal suburban family. Nice house, dad had a good job, grew up with an older sister and a younger brother. His family were all high achievers and Ben was no different, showing great promise in school with an early interest in the field of medicine. He also considered joining the police force for a time, but eventually decided against it. He still maintained his interest in law and order, though, but it would not become an important part of his life until later.
  18.
  19. Ben finished high school and then went to college, then to medical school. All the while, he kept up his good Christian values and remained a model citizen. Sure, he had some fun in college, but then again, so does everyone else. While in medical school, he met a young woman by the name of Maria, and the two of them soon got engaged.
  20.
  21. After graduating from medical school, Ben and Maria moved to Chicago for their residency. One fateful day, while on the train through a particularly rough part of town, disaster struck. The train was hit by a group of highly trained criminals searching for a specific passenger, and while Ben and Maria were mere bystanders, they became caught up in the incident and eventually dragged to an abandoned warehouse to await interrogation. To his credit, Ben remained strong and hatched an escape plan, but the plan eventually went awry and resulted in the collapse of the warehouse, his fiancee's death, and Ben himself buried in rubble with a rusty beam through his heart.
  22.
  23. Yet, he did not die. Instead, his body mutated for still-unknown reasons, and several days later, Dr. Benjamin White rose from the wreckage, a revenant reborn of rust and iron. His body was whole, but his mind was broken. He'd changed that day, and sought to take action on his long-deferred career as a lawman. He'd hunt down the evil and the wicked, starting with the men who killed himself and the woman he loved. But death was a merciful escape, and Ben wanted to ensure the men he caught endured the punishment that they were due. Along with his new mutant abilities, he took on the persona of the Iron Warden, and he now wanders the streets of Chicago, a twisted vigilante hell-bent on justice, order, and of course... punishment.
  24.
  25. **Reputation:** Dr. White is reasonably well-known and well-respected in the medical community. The Iron Warden is largely an urban legend, but there have been various instances of rusty "undead robots" abducting specific people throughout the city, and in a few cases, assaulting or robbing establishments that, as one would find if they did their research, have a history of fraud and other shady business practices.
  26.
  27. **Resources:** Ben has a house in the North Side, a decent amount of money, connections in the business world, and most importantly, a warehouse with a jerry-rigged underground section that he keeps for his own personal use. (Owned under an alias, obviously)

  31. ###POWERS AND SKILLS
  32.
  33. **Power Descriptions:** Ben's rust-powered mutations grant him limited control over metal and machines, giving him a fair amount of utility and a variable fighting style. With the ability to fight using a horde of mutant robots or as a lone, rust-powered juggernaut, there are few situations he can't handle.
  34.
  35. * *Rust Manipulation:* Ben can rust metal either on contact or at ranges of up to 25 meters, and telekinetically control rusted metal within this radius.
  36.
  37. * *Risen Army:* Ben can use his rust manipulation to create and control pseudo-robotic constructs that do his bidding. They can either be created from scrap metal parts and held together with magical energy, or corrupted and mutated from existing items (so he could have a Mangle-esque collection of random parts, and he could also have a mutant rampaging jukebox). These minions are roughly equivalent in speed, strength, and offensive/defensive ability to a normal soldier, and he can have up to ten active at a time.
  38. * Robots are armed with melee weapons that vary in size and function based on the minion's construction, or with ranged weapons that throw metal shrapnel.
  39. * If the robots move more than 25 meters away from Ben, they will cease to follow his orders and either attempt to get back inside the 25-meter radius or just do random, benign actions, and if they move more than 50 meters away from Ben they will collapse into dust.
  40. * (The robots are technically slightly less durable than a normal soldier, but they act like zombies and keep fighting until completely disabled.)
  41.
  42. * *Iron Man:* Ben can use his rust manipulation to create a set of pseudomagical power armor that also enhances his physical attributes. The armor is resistant to low-caliber bullets and has two weapons-- a ranged shrapnel cannon and some kind of melee weapon attached to a chain (like a kusarigama, or someone fighting with an anchor). This armor can either be worn by Ben or act alone. While alone it can only use its melee weapon and is subject to the same range rules as the small robots. Enhanced attributes in the Attributes section.
  43.
  44. * **Form Swapping:** Ben can only use one "mode" at a time, either fighting with his minions or with his armor. Because Ben works with existing metal in the area, switching between "minion mode" and "armor mode" takes some time, requiring him to break down the minions and draw the metal to himself to form the armor. Also, whenever a construct is destroyed, some of it becomes unusable again because it rusts into dust, so he also has to find a new source of metal. The whole switching process takes approximately sixty seconds, during which time he is effectively a powerless human.
  45.
  46. **Power Versatility:** Ben's powers are quite versatile, combining limited metallokinesis and all its applications alongside minion control and power armor. However, the fact that he can only fight with one form at a time means that he has to choose the correct form beforehand or suffer a significant amount of downtime and vulnerability.
  47.
  48. **Power Drawbacks:**
  49.
  50. * *Minions:* As much as police and other adversaries like using guns and knives, blunt force is actually the best way to deal with the minions, as they all involve rusted machine parts in one way or another. His soldiers might not go down after taking a bullet or two, but if you hit them with a car, they're liable to shatter entirely.
  51.
  52. * *Armor:* Ben's armor has no explicit weak points or any kind of attack that's uniquely strong against it. However, he has no mobility in the suit, so he can be easily kited, and heat-based attacks can cause trouble because they can cook him alive.
  53.
  54. **Skills:**
  55.
  56. * Tinker: Ben is a skilled mechanic and tinker, and machines are one of his favorite hobbies.
  57. * Doctor: Ben is a medical prodigy with an M.D. and a skilled surgeon. He knows the human body incredibly well, particularly in the areas relevant to torture.
  58. * Due to his upbringing he knows his way around a gun, but rarely carries one with him.
  59.
  60. **Equipment/Weaponry:**
  61.
  62. * A [rusty welder's mask](https://i.etsystatic.com/10880740/d/il/792f70/811566870/il_340x270.811566870_eso5.jpg?version=0) he uses to conceal his identity.
  63.
  64. * A .45 handgun he sometimes carries when needed.
  65.
  66. * A backpack full of scrap metal
