**Q: how old are you?**
A: i'm 27 years old.

**Q: Is your username from DotA?**
A: Contrary to popular belief,  no.  Some random nickname i thought up of in 2006.  also "373" is random as well.

**Q: Do you play DotA?**
A: No.

**Q: Y SO SRS?
   Why do you look mad when you're streaming?**
A: A very common question i get here.  It's my game face, i like to tell people.  so nothing real intimidating.

**Q: What island do you live in?**
A: The beautiful island of Oahu, aka "The Gathering Place".

**Q: When are you going to (speedrun related question, i.e. sub "this speedrunner")?**
**A: WHENEVER.**

**Q: what does No S&Q mean?**
A: it's "No Save & Quit".  basically, it's a single segmented run (A speedrun that never loads a save.). Save and continue after dying doesn't count.  more on this later.

**Q: What platforms are ALLOWED for speedrunning ALTTP?**
A: - All SNES/SFC/VC versions, including the Japanese 1.0 VC inject
- Snes9x 1.51 or higher
- bsnes
- SNESGT

**Q: what are BANNED platforms for speedrunning ALTTP?**
A: - All GBA versions, unless everyone in the race agrees beforehand
- Snes9x 1.43
- uosnes
- ZSNES

**Q: What else is BANNED in ALTTP?**
A:
- Suiciding in the overworld to emulate a save and quit.
- configuring your controls to simultaneously pressing Up+Down, Left+Right.
- Death Mountain descent
- Turtle Rock skip, which skips 3/4 of the dungeon.

**Q: What's the difference between Tempered Sword Route/Gold Sword Route?**
A: Tempered Route:
Ice Palace -> Swamp Palace -> Misery Mire -> Turtle Rock and Ganon's Tower.  Ganon takes a bit of time to beat with Tempered Only.

Gold Sword Route:
Ice Palace -> **Misery Mire** -> **Swamp Palace** -> Super Bomb to open the Mysterious Pond for Gold Sword/Silver Arrows -> Turtle Rock and Ganon's Tower.  Ganon fight is much faster and easier with Gold Sword and Silver Arrows.

**Q: What's the difference between "SRL Timing" and "SDA Timing" in ALTTP?**
A:  as mentioned before, SRL timing begins when a registered new file is selected. SDA timing begins on the first frame of moving when you land from the bedhop,  which is a 27-second difference.

**Q: What is [nosrl]??**
A: [nosrl] means i will NOT appear on the front page of Speedrunslive.com.  due to my performances in racing in ALTTP, i have secured a spot on the front page.  by putting [nosrl] i will not appear there.

With [nosrl]- learning a speedrunning game, doing LP's, especially for Star Fox 64 high score runs.

Without [nosrl]- games i speedrun.

**Q: What in the hell is ".don"??**
A: .don is an inside joke that started out with me typing it out on Speedrunslive.com IRC, without the "e" during an ALTTP Master Sword race.  i was in a hurry to type it out.  i usually type in the command before i start the race, but since i didn't type the "e", i looked at it, and progressively broke out into laughter minutes into it.  i now use it in my splits to signify the end of a speedrun game. the video can be found **[here](http://www.twitch.tv/chaosknight373/c/2168638)**.

**Q: Can i DELIBERATELY ask these FAQ's on stream?**
A: **ABSOLUTELY NOT.  YOU WILL BE IGNORED.**  and possibly be dealt with in the purge/timeout department.
