- Overview: Merge Modes of the Beast Rider Series are a unique class of Duo Merge Modes comprising of a humanoid Merge Mode known as a Rider and their animalistic Merge Mode partners known as Steeds, who ride and battle evil together as an unstoppable force that are perfectly synchronized in both mind and spirit, whether it’s against a single enemy or even an entire army, using their unique abilities in tandem with each other and gaining strength and power from each other’s energy just as long as the Rider and Steed are together at all times, not only sharing each other’s energies and abilities with the other but combining their respective energies in perfect synergy to gain unique abilities and buffs. All Beast Rider Merge Modes possess an ability known as Rider’s Empowerment and all the capabilities and techniques associated with it (https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Riders_Empowerment), giving them a wide range of abilities in relation to their inseparable bond as rider and steed, the two most notable abilities derived from Rider’s Empowerment are known as Rider Arts and Centaur Forms. Riders and Steeds are as inseparable as lifetime friends and their supernatural bond allows them to cooperate and ride together more efficiently than Duo Merge Modes and both Rider and Steed are both willing to die for the other, which can be seen as both a strength and a weakness depending on the situation. All Riders possess a unique, signature weapon that they are xtremely proficient in wielding to the point of complete mastery and said Signature Weapons compliment the natural abilities both Rider and Steeds possess in many ways, such as allowing the ability to infuse their weapon with their energy or certain forces a Beast Rider Merge is associated with, such as the elements. All Steeds possess supernatural levels of senses, reflexes and instincts that exceed their Riders, making them exceptional steeds, protectors and companions but they are capable of sharing these traits with their Riders as well as any other ability they possess just as the Rider can do the same for their Steed. All Steeds are the Personal Mounts to their Riders, it’s means that only Riders are able to ride them, anyone who tries to ride Steeds without the Rider’s permission will be promptly kicked off and Steeds that fall under the control of enemies for any reason are capable of breaking free by hearing their Rider’s whistle. All Beast Rider Merge Modes have a fantasy aesthetic to them as the Riders (and sometimes the Steeds as well) are based on races, creatures and archetypes typically found in both mythology and high fantasy media such as Dungeons & Dragons. Both Riders and Steeds have their own unique names, the name they go by as Merge Modes is what they’re known as while riding together as an inseparable duo of rider and steed. Both Riders and Steeds have their own unique personalities that compliment each other and Steeds are capable of speech and higher cognitive thought despite their animalistic appearances.
- Rider Arts: Beast Rider Merge Modes are capable of performing a system of unique techniques known as Rider Arts that utilize the Rider and Steed combining their unique powers, abilities and traits together for powerful combination attacks and synchronized combat as well as sharing their respective abilities and properties with one another to enhance each other and combining their respective energies to gain unique buffs and abilities derived from synchronizing with each other. Rider Arts and the capabilities Beast Riders are capable of vary from each Merge Mode, some are elemental in nature, some are energy-based while others focus on enhancing their physical combat or each other in a particular way that is unique to them. Rider Art techniques that are consistent in all Beast Rider Merge Modes are Union Attacks, techniques relating to the Rider’s signature weapon, enhancing physical attributes such as strength and speed and the summoning of supernatural armor that adorns both Rider and Steed known as Siege Armor. Although very powerful, utilizing Rider Arts drains the Beast Riders of their energy every time they use a technique, exceptionally powerful techniques and attacks require spending larger amounts of energy and thus, abusing Rider Arts can result in Beast Riders becoming weak and fatigued until they can recharge.
- Centaur Form: By completely merging each other’s energies in perfect synchronization, The Rider and Steed are capable of entering a powerful form known as their Centaur Form, in which the two Merge Modes fuse into a hybrid form consisting of the Rider gaining the bottom half of their Steed, giving them an appearance reminiscent of a centaur from Greek mythology and granting them such an xtreme boost to their power, strength, speed, durability, energy capacity, Rider Art techniques etc. that it borders on Powerhouse territory and their focus, senses, strategic ability and combat proficiency are also greatly enhanced, having been fused into a perfect, unified being with Planet Buster power for a limited time. Signature Weapons and Siege Armor are also incredibly enhanced on this state, gaining xtremely enhanced offensive power and durability as well as unlocking special attacks and techniques that utilize the Beast Rider’s signature weapon and armor that they didn’t have access to prior, said weapons and armor also tend to change drastically in appearance to match their significant state. Rider and Steed can stay in their Centaur Form for up to fifteen minutes until drawbacks start to set in, these drawbacks being Energy Recoil and Feral Mind. After fifteen minutes of being in their Centaur Form, Beast Rider Merge Modes can suffer from a Energy Recoil, a phenomenon where their energy builds up so much in their body that it reaches critical mass and begins to physically harm the Beast Rider, causing unbearable pain that worsens the more they stay in their Centaur Form, only going away once they’ve unfused. Worse than that is the Feral Mind debuff in which after staying in their Centaur Form for thirty minutes, the Beast Rider’s unified mind will start to deteriorate to a wild, feral and highly aggressive state that causes them to become an xtreme danger to allies and themselves for that matter and they won’t be able to unfuse at this point unless forced to do so.
- Drawbacks & Weaknesses: If the Rider and Steed are separated, they will both be dramatically depowered and the Steed will even lose complete control, their minds devolving into a completely feral state until the Rider can mount them again, which can be difficult as the Steed won’t recognize them as their loyal friend in this state, becoming a danger to the weakened Rider as a result. Although possessing significant wells of energy, the energy capacity of a Beast Rider isn’t infinite and they can run dangerously low on energy and become xtremely weakened if a battle is taking too long or if they are too liberal with their usage of Rider Arts techniques and especially powerful Union Attacks. Beast Rider Merge Modes are incompatible with any of Fusion-X’s Enhancement Functions, this means they lack Plus, Xros and Crystallo Forms, they cannot be made into Armaments nor can they use Armaments themselves and they cannot use Soar Mode’s space suit function.
