- Wishing for or celebrating the death of a person,in my opinion, makes you a disgusting human being. I'm not excusing people that are truly evil, like Hitler or terrorists. The people I'm talking about that receive these death wishes are your everyday politicians and laborers/workers. For those reading this, please believe that I wholeheartedly understand your frustrations or even seething anger with people that fit that description, especially in today's political and work climate. I'm not just saying that to appease you behind a veil of male privilege,I genuinely mean it. Why do I bring this up? It is because of a series of tweets that came up on my Twitter timeline that were celebrating the death of a US Senator named John McCain, who had died of brain cancer.
- This ideal of mine has been rooted in me since childhood. When I was 11,I was wondering why people were celebrating the death of the terrorist that did the 9/11 attacks. As you can tell I didn't know better at the time considering the person in question was a freaking terrorist, but that concept still applies even moreso to today's world where people are throwing insults left and right just because of their political views or personal values, some of those insults including these death wishes. I know people don't always get along. That's a given. But we're better than this :(
