I got the inspiration for this script through a really iconic, French teen movie, that was made in the 80’s. In this script I tried to take the really sweet idea of a key scene, as well as part of the plot and make it a bit more grown-up. The script centers on two friends, who are both too shy to make the first move. At the same time the listener saw you kissing someone else some time ago. So they are sure that you are not interested and also they are upset, because there was a connection building up between you both, since some time. They were sure that you two are going to end up together and they feel betrayed. So now it takes a romantic gesture to finally show them how you feel. What better way than to take the opportunity on their birthday party and show them how to slow dance.

There’s a scene, where you put headphones on the listeners ears, so only them get to hear a romantic song you picked for slow-dancing with them. That is the only soundeffect that is really important to put in, otherwise the story doesn’t make sense anymore. Here is a suggestion for music under CC-license, that can be used in audios:

You don’t like a good French “la bise”? [chuckle]
In France you greet each other with a little kiss on every cheek,
and they call it “la bise”.
[giggles] I’m sorry, I came home only yesterday,
And I just got very used to the French way of life, I guess.
It’s so sweet when you blush…
We haven’t seen each other in quite some time.
How are you doing?
OK good… good… yeah I’m doing fine, as well.
[shy and gentle] It’s good to see you….
[confused] Of course it is. What do you mean?
[slightly offended] Alright, see you later then…I guess.

(Change of scene)
Hey…hey…hey… Can I ask you something?
Listen, are you mad at me?
Before it felt like, you wanted to get away from me.
It’s your birthday, so I thought we would have a fun night together.
I even believed we had a… special connection, you know?
So why are you so cold towards me?
You saw me, with another person…kissing?
[appalled] Oh my god… fuck… before I left for France?
Yes of course I know, there was a girl/guy,
kissing me at that party and I was so drunk.
You are right, I reciprocated the kiss,
but it didn’t mean *anything* to me…
[nervous] I am into *you*, since a long time actually.
It’s just that, making the first step is not easy for me,
sorry I screwed it up.
I guess my only chance at this point,
is to be completely honest with you. [deep sigh]
