  1. So AGDQ 2017 just came to an end, and it was the most fun I've had and the happiest I've felt in quite a long time. It was great to finally get the chance to meet so many cool people from all around the world and from a bunch of different communities. Since I haven't been around for that long, I was a little afraid that I wasn't going to quite fit in with everyone, but everybody I met and hung out with was super nice and welcoming - thank you everyone!

  3. In terms of the stream itself, I managed to catch every run I wanted to see, and they were all sick - Ape 2, SMS, Sega Bass Fishing, Tilt 'n Tumble, Crash 2, CTR, Sly 1, RTA, IQ, Jak 1, and RaC 2. The atmosphere in the stream room was really cool and I was glad to be a part of it.

  5. In terms of my run, well...
  6.
  7. The time I got wasn't the best and the run had some hilarious mistakes in it, e.g. wall skip and Toc-Man, but I think I showed off the game pretty well. Hilariously, I got WR in the casual room 12 hours before that run, and 2 days after it, consistent wall skip was found lol. I think the run itself was a good mix of showing how cool the game is as a speedrun, how challenging it can be, and how easy it is to get screwed over by garbage. I wish the run was better, but I'm just happy I got to show off a run I've poured a lot of time into in front of a lot of people. I'm hoping that the run serves as a catalyst for both more people to run PMW and for more Pac games to make it into future marathons. :D

  9. I want to give personal shoutouts to everyone I got to meet and talk to, since it was meeting you all that made the event the experience I hoped it would be and more. There's a lot of people, so here we go:
  10.
  11. Shoutouts to SHiFT_HD, Redmoss101, and JellySwagger from the SpongeBob crew - you're all cool dudes and I'm really happy I got the chance to hang out with and meet you guys. Maybe I'll pick up running some games involving the inferior yellow character soon. :P
  12.
  13. From the Jak crew, shoutouts to Sir_Jazzberry, Piggleberry, Ouiji_Shi, and headstrong1290 for being incredibly based and chill people. Glad I got to hang out with you guys and I look forward to more late night chats in Africa. OpieOP
  14.
  15. For how small the Pac community is, I was really glad to see so many people from it there. I've spent a lot of time over the past year talking to you guys, so shoutouts to AverageTrey, robthegamer115, ahbeef, FingerQuick, wallyaldo, FrenchiSMS64, TheGuesst, and wooferzfg1 for being some of the coolest dudes around. \ PacAttack /

  17. Last, but certainly not least, I wanna give a huge shoutout to all of the Sprash crew that I got to meet. I spent most of my time at the event hanging out with and getting to meet you all, and I gotta say you guys are the best. From bowling to Office Depot to eStarland trips to massive pizza parties and everything in between, I wouldn't have wanted to spend that time with any other group of guys. Special shoutouts to you guys: SwordofSeals, orsa_numbers, Potette, lemeow216 (Roberta), Aprilcake, CaneofPacci, Domdomzbm, FrozenPhoenix95, Caitelady, SuperiorWarbringer (Chris), wedc517, Runnee22, AlexDest, Hummeldon, nattyone720, Feszy, whit_send, WhitePaaws, stumpdotio, Spudlyman, breakingu (Grant), Dactyly, Congruence, Paladinight, MartyrrSenpai, Cythertime, parsoFish, Roach788, Gazco41, Newantox, Tyzerra, Nitrofski, SilverAltar, dzh730, Hornlitz, KrizMarqz, and tHmCS.

  19. That's a lot of names, and I apologize if I missed anyone on accident. Seriously though, thank you all for making my first AGDQ one of the best weeks in recent memory. Leaving the venue was pretty hard for me - I ended up getting back home really late because I couldn't bring myself to walk out the front door of the hotel. I'm someone who tends to be pretty stoic and chill, but once the finality of the event hit me, I couldn't hold it together. It was really sad leaving, but again, I was so happy to meet you all and I really hope I get to see you all again next year! January 2018 can't come quickly enough! :)

  21. As for post-GDQ speedplans, my immediate goal right now is to get a 29 in PMW Any%. After that, I'll be taking a long break from Pac to work on some other games. My next game will probably be either Crash 1 or Twinsanity - I've wanted to learn Crash 1 for a while since I have pretty good zigzag, and Twinsanity has always interested me. I recently found out that my copy of Twins is viable for runs since all skips are possible on it, and finding that out has motivated me to want to actually learn the whole run. Pac will probably return over the summer, since I really want to submit All Levels for the next AGDQ, but I want to get a NTSC-J disc to save those precious 40 seconds before I do that. I'll be starting school again soon, so streams will be less frequent in the coming weeks, but I'll certainly be around as much as I can be.
  22.
  23. Thanks again everyone, and I hope to see you all again soon! :D :D :D
