TIFU by popping a pimple on my penis

So a few days ago I noticed a little red bump on the back of my dick. Didn't really think much of it, I was skeptical to think it was an STD since I've only been with the same person for a year. But I decided to keep an eye on it incase it got worse.

Cut to yesterday, I had just gotten home from work and hopped in the shower. While cleaning that area I realized that the little red bump had transformed into a big throbbing white headed zit... I panicked a bit since I've never had acne on my genitals before. Finished my shower and decided the best thing to do is NOT to pop it and just keep cleaning it until it slowly goes away on it's own.

Later that night my gf calls me and askes if she can come over. We have some dinner, watch a movie and eventually end up in bed. By this point I had completely forgotten about my dick-zit.
As we finish I pull out and notice blood. Lots of blood. A look of pure terror on my face as a realize what had happened.

She gets embarrassed and explains that her period just ended but I must have knocked the last of it loose. I put on the most awkward and uncomfortable smile while forcing out a "Don't worry, it's only natural.."

As she's in the bathroom cleaning up I'm fully freaking out in bed, I tried wiping the blood off my semi-erect penis but it keeps coming out.
I put a little piece of toilet paper over it, like I would if I cut myself shaving or something but it gets soaked in blood instantly.
Then I hear her coming back from the bathroom, so I quickly mummifie my dick in toilet paper and put my underwear back on.

My visibly distressed attitude only makes her even more embarrassed, I try my best to comfort her while the only thing on my mind is how the life source of my boners is being drained out of me. And how on earth I'm going to try to explain that the period blood actually came out of me. I end up not saying anything. But she knows my username so maybe she'll see this one day.
I now have a scab on my dick.
