TIFU by eating leftovers filled with maggots (with pic)

So according to a picture I took, it occurred almost two years ago. I bought some McDonald's for the family the day before it happen.

I live in Southeast Asian country so insects and flies are expected to fly in during the day. I don't know how it may have gotten inside the chicken box in came in with after we were done eating. I remembered my Grandma put it in the oven the night before.

So I woke up the next morning I was hungry and remembered there was still some leftover chickens in the oven. I opened the oven and immediately noticed a fly pooft out of the oven.

I was shocked and said "how the hell did it get in there??". Before eating it I checked to see if there was anything on it. For some people that don't know, [flies lays these tiny eggs](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/iw_pZHF-xJ7bpHRVW4Tp2VTYgOg9Xfy-raN8gyk3jg-i6RX39zxuj6E7B8xXAE9Sbmxn3qPduAy7c4huA6u-O0RS8eJ8kTsYhvtRc16uxwm_xA) that looks like tiny rice. It's common knowledge here to check if the food was free of that if you saw a fly near any foods.

I didn't see anything wrong with it so my hungry ass thought it was fine and I took a bite on it. As I was eating I noticed a little slimy feeling in my mouth. At that moment I immediately felt something was not right.

I checked it again and OMG I see movements on the piece of chicken. [There were quite a few of them on it.](https://i.imgur.com/Lf0CAzv.jpg) The fucked up thing was I wasn't as disgusted as I feel ilke I should have been... I swallowed that last bite, took a photo of it to sent to my friend and threw the chickens away.

TLDR: ate some leftover McDonald's chicken in the morning not noticing it was already filled with maggots
