Evangelion 3.0+1.0

Anon who saw the movie, here’s my write-up from what I remember:

>Shinji Rei Asuka walking in red wasteland Japan for opening credits
>adult Toji shows up in his car and they go to his house where he, his dad, his wife (school rep girl) and their baby live
>shinji is autistically sitting in a corner and won’t look up or eat dinner
>The next morning Toji explains the town and this company that starts with a K I already forget that moves between towns to help them? Idk
>the town isn’t a red wasteland of dead evas because of the spire things making a barrier
>rei sees a pregnant cat and thinks it’s a dog because she’s never seen one before
>rei works with the obaachans harvesting vegetables and follows school rep wife around, asking what is good morning, what is goodnight, what is breastfeeding, what is a bath, what is thank you, everything
>asuka just lounges around nearly naked playing a very outdated looking handheld game
>at one point shinji sees asukas collar and he thinks of kaworu exploding and pukes, kensuke cleans it up
>at one point asuka is angry at shinji who just autistically curls up in a corner and won’t eat, there’s a long rotoscoped(?) shot of her on top of him angry and forcing food in his mouth
>shinji finally gets up and leaves to just sit on a dock during the day
>rei brings him his walkman saying asuka told her to bring it but he shoves it away, next she puts down food and he waits til she leaves then cry-eats
>rei is sitting with the baby and her palm is red, she says “this is...sadness” (like earlier when the obaachans finally give her her school uniform and she says “this is...embarassment”)
>on another night she’s with the baby in the plugsuit and her wrist says “danger” and then she collapses”
>the next morning she leaves a note and her clothes for the mom to find that just says “goodnight good morning thank you goodbye”

>she goes to the dock where shinji is, he asks why she’s there, says it’s because she likes shinji, as she’s talking her plugsuit is fading to the usual white, she then explodes into tang
>asuka is with kensuke who is filming people in the red wasteland outside the barrier
>she tells shinji they need to leave and he says no, so she zaps him with a gun thing

From here on the dialogue is too much for me. Scenes blend together too.

>he wakes up and is in the Wonder, sakura is over him crying angry about him
>some scenes of Misato and Ritsuko
>asuka goes to Mari’s room in the ship, it’s just full of books. She acts gay as usual
I forget what happens honestly. But eventually:
>they are all in the Wonder going into the third impact site in the Red Sea of dead evas (central dogma)
>Mari and Asuka drop in and fight horrifying skull-headed, halo evas coming up from the pyramid at the bottom. The skulls form a big drill and MariAsuka do a double attack to get through it
>They land and Mari is fighting things that are just two unit 01 arms on a central ball holding knives. They have a BWONG BWONG sound effect as they jump around
>asuka is on the crucified 4 armed unit 01 and can’t pierce the core. She takes out a mini-spire from her eyepatch eye and her hair glows like Diebuster, her unit crawls glowing out of its armor and is a big rainbowy winged Adam thing
>but the unit 01 gets up and stabs it

>it’s defeating Asuka
>meanwhile the wonder was dogfighting a black ship piloted by Fuyutsuki, who just stands there unmoving at the helm

I forget what happens...

>unit 02’s head falls down onto the bottom surface where unit 01 was
>somehow it’s Misato standing before Gendo down at there
>Ritsuko appears behind Misato and shoots Gendo multiple times
>gendo scoops up his brain matter and puts it back in his blown out skull, revealing his has a red + for eyes, looks like a cyclops kinda
>he flies up to the unit 01 behind him and it eats him
Can’t remember the interim here
>at one point pink DSL girl arrives and is aiming a gun at misato
>sakura appears behind her also aiming a gun at misato
>she shoots, wounds misato but everyone is ok with it somehow I forget
>as she’s getting bandaged shinji says bye Misato I met your son, he’s doing well, I like him
>she’s happy
>cue shinji- gendo fight

>they are in “anti-universe” “minus-space”
>two unit 01s, Gendo’s with 4 arms, weird mocap cg CQC
>suddenly they’re fighting, human-sized, inside Shinji’s apartment wrecking the table
>then at his school

>I forget but somehow they are in the train car, he explains to shinji why he did it, Japanese I cant understand, YUI YUI YUI crying
>shinji says we’re the same, dad
>gendo says I’m sorry (past tense sumanakatta)
>somehow 4th impact is started and all
>Lilith is black but turns the usual white, is off the cross
>guf opened
>evas floating around all turn to headless mannequins
>enter GNR, which is a fully rendered 3D realistic model (PS3 cutscene tier)
>gendo sees this from the train, gurus you from his ship
>mari approaches fuyutsuki, he calls her Marie-kun, she says it’s been a while since I’ve heard that, walks away, he turns into tang

>lots of meta stuff happening, like the kensuke asuka doll mascot suit thing
>somehow shinji thinks he has to sacrifice himself so he aims the double lance at himself, but a hand blocks it
>it’s Gendo’s unit behind him, which as shinji is metaphysically floating away sees it as not rei, but mom
>the evas appear as his mom hugging his dad from behind
>he plunges the lance, they both...explode? Can’t remember
>oh yeah before gendo talk talk the ocean of purple dead evas flood the area but the town spires block it, this is when gendo is explaining cleansing souls is a step in instrumentality
>GNR’s head falls off, mannequins turn into people and animals falling to earth

I can’t remember if there’s anything in between.
Ending scene:
>a train station. Rei and kaworu facing eachother on one side of the track, shinji as a salaryman on the other, sitting on a bench.
>POV you are him, hands cover your face
>”guess who? Glasses, big chest woman, (something else I forget)”
>he answers something, she gets in front of him and gets inches from his face, they’re talking about glasses? Shinji is cheerful
>she says let’s go! He agrees
>they grab hands and run up the station steps and out of the station
>camera from a drone, real footage of japan, One Last Kiss plays
>owari
