  27. 1. General information about SRU
  28.
  29. 1.1 Founding of the S.R.U
  30. The Predators of the LSPD Police Departement hunting through the streets of Los Santos after possible targets.
  31. The SRU (Special Response Unite), is raised in September 2009 because, of the high criminality in the City, made a part of the judicial bridage. The SRU subnamed with "Flying Brigade" they have recived this name, because of there fast and accurat way of operating.
  32.
  33. 1.2 Description of the LSPD - SRU
  34. The Los Santos Police Department Special Response Unit is a special group of Officers who respond to emergency calls in the fastest response time available. There job is to Eliminate threats to the public well being in the fastest and most efficient way possible without putting civilian life at stake. Trained to drive and pursue under the most extreme circumstance, the LSPD - SRU makes sure that no high risk suspect stands in the way of harming anyone in the metropolitan area.
  35.
  36. 1.3Activities of the LSPD - SRU
  37. The LSPD - SRU has a large array of duties and activities which include but not limited too:
  38. Extraordinary Apprehensions and Interventions where the target is known to be armed and dangerous.
  39. Surveillance on our LSPD members in traffic stops. (( Not to catch them on corruption, but to protect them.))
  40. Recruitment and training also for technical advice.
  41. Giving Leo's Support on dangerous Interventions.
  42. Fast responding. Like we communicate by Team Speak 3 we are supposed to respond in less then 2 min over the whole SA map.
  43. Always heavy armed. With our weapons and our high trained attitude. Civilians will be impressed.
  44. Terminating chases in a short time.
  45. Fast Undercover cars. We are supposed to catch suspects fast.
  46. Special trained for dangerous arrests.
  47. Violence in group
  48. Urban violence
  49. Robbery with violence
  50. Snatching
  51. Fast responding on 11-99's
  52. Special tactics in chases to give the suspect less chances to escape or find a vehicle to escape
  53. We use a large Database so we know who we have infront of us.

  56.
  57. 2. SRU equipment
  58. 2.1 Weapons
  59.
  60. Desert Eagle
  61.
  62. The standard firearm issued to every member of the Los Santos Police Department. It's known for its deadly efficiency in close quarters combat, the bullet of this weapon can easily penetrate any armor it gets put against. Not too widely used in large and medium scale shoot outs due to its low rate of fire, which makes it ineffective in combat with large amount of combatants.
  63.
  64. MP5 Sub machine Gun
  65.
  66. A fast firing sub machine gun, widely used by law enforcement officers and operatives during high-risk vehicle pursuits, where the suspect's vehicle must be immobilized before it can cause harm to bystanders, officers engaged in the pursuit or the suspect himself. Not practical for use during shoot outs, due to its low penetrating power.
  67.
  68. M4 Assault Rifle
  69.
  70. A very effective law enforcement assault rifle, mostly used for medium and long quarters combat, although it can prove very efficient in close quarters combat if used by an experienced and capable operative or officer. This weapon is especially recommended while disabling a vehicle, the high rate of fire provided by this weapon will easily disable an evading vehicle.
  71.
  72. SPAS-12 Combat Shotgun
  73.
  74. Quick-firing close quarters combat shotgun capable of taking down a hostile target in matter of seconds, not too popular amongst normal law enforcement officers due to rank restrictions, but very popular amongst suspects. The SPAS-12 has a very high rate of fire which makes it easy to engage multiple targets at once, unlike the desert eagle which is a handicap versus multiple suspects. The SPAS-12 can also be used for breaching doors, the large power of its shells at close range will blow any door off.
  75.
  76. Sniper Rifle
  77.
  78. A very effective long-range fast firing rifle capable of taking down any hostiles within a matter of seconds. Great for supporting fellow operatives or officers in dangerous situations, or simply delivering deadly force to a suspect at a large distance without endangering the user of the sniper rifle. Not practical for use in close-quarters combat, as the use of scope will lower your line of sight around you, making you an easy target for multiple hostiles to engage.
  79.
  80. 2.2 Tools
  81. NOTE - this handbook section is not the same as what Jackson posted, this covers the usage of them in our regular duties and important information.
  82.
  83. Tear Gas Grenade
  84.
  85. A small balloon which on impact causes large amount of tear gas to spread in the nearby vicinity. Useful for crowd control, various tactical operations and general cover to prevent a hostile from obtaining a clear shot on an operative or an officer, or to cover advancement of LEOs.
  86.
  87. Battering Ram
  88. A widely used tool for breaching standard wooden or reinforced doors. This is the number one breaching method, although when used - it causes loud noise, which can alarm the suspects of a nearby LEO and help them to prepare or flee. During life or death situations the ram can also be used as a deadly melee weapon, although such use of it is not recommended under any circumstances.
  89.
  90. C2 explosive
  91. Widely used by elite police teams all around the world. The explosion from a C2 will immediately cause the locking mechanism of a door to break, thus causing the door to blow off. Any hostiles hiding in close proximity to the door might suffer minor or major injuries in the ensuing explosion, which also causes a flash bang effect - blinding anyone looking at the explosion.
  92.
  93. Zip cuffs
  94. Without a doubt a very valuable item in the arsenal of any SRU operative. The biggest difference between regular handcuffs and zip cuffs is that carrying zip cuffs normally doesn't cause any sounds, due to its plastic design. The design of the zip cuffs allows to conceal the presence of a SRU operative in a closed environment where sounds are easily noticeable.
  95.
  96. Gas mask
  97. A mask used to allow an operative to freely act in an environment filled with toxic or vision impairing gases, which in contact with human's eye might cause problems that impair an operative from performing his tasks at full efficiency.
  98.
  99. OpticWand
  100. A tool that allows an operative to view dangerous environment from a safe position, using a small camera attached to -what the fuck is it called - to be fixed-, that can be easily slid under the door and allow to see what's going on inside. It can be used through holes, window openings or any other practical uses where it's required to know what the operatives have to face.
  101.
  102. 2.3 Patrol vehicles
  103.
  104. Bullet
  105.
  106. Bullet is a good all-around vehicle, capable of achieving a high speed within seconds. Its great handling, acceleration and other traits make it a very reliable car, although the presence of only 2 seats is a large con.
  107.
  108. Infernus
  109.
  110. Infernus is the fastest Special Response Unit vehicle and it can achieve the top speed within seconds, even faster with the use of nitrous. Its bad handling makes it a very unreliable vehicle for those who do not know how to drive it properly, it's recommended only for those who have fully mastered driving in this vehicle, or for vehicle pursuits in a clear straight highway, where the suspect is unlikely to take a swift turn.
  111.
  112. Sultan
  113.
  114. Although not as fast as the other SRU vehicles, the sultan is widely used by operatives of our division due to the amount of seats, which allows the detainment of suspects without the need to call in additional units that could be doing patrolling elsewhere and getting more suspects instead of being forced to process our suspects. The Sultan is a little bit faster than the cruiser and has exceptional handling.
  115.
  116.
  117.
  118. patrol Car
  119.
  120. This vehicle is the standard patrol car for the LSPD. SRU will use this on a daily basis while on patrol. This car is vital to this department and is a very usefull vehicle. Its top speed is 97 miles per hour without nos and has the ability to hold four occupants.
  121.
  122. 2.4 Special vehicles
  123.
  124. Splashy
  125.
  126. Splashy, also known as Mr. Splashy and SWAT Tank is a heavily armored LSPD vehicle used for Special Response Unit tasks and duties during emergency situations where it's required. The armored vehicle is armed with a water cannon, which shoots out high-pressure water that can temporarily knock down any human being. The tank is very vunerable due to its tires, which are extremley large and easy to pop out.
  127.
  128. Splashy can be authorized by SRU Sergeant or above.
  129.
  130. Boxcar
  131.
  132. The boxcar, sometimes simply called as the armored vehicle, is a heavily armored truck with 2 seats normally used during urgent situations by high-ranked personnel for supervising a situation where additional armor in a vehicle could provide helpful. Additional tasks may involve leading a convoy or simply acting as a standart patrol vehicle with additional armor to protect the passangers.
  133.
  134. Boxcar can be authorized by SRU Sergeant or above.
  135.
  136. FBI Rancher
  137.
  138. The FBI Rancher is one of the most efficient vehicles that the government has to offer. You can have up to four operatives if things get ugly. You can also have up to three drive byers in the ugly police chase situations.
  139.
  140.
  141. Enforcer
  142.
  143. An enforcer is a large vehicle normally used for prisoner or law enforcement transport. It's useful during large situations where officers need to be brought in large numbers and at the same time, instead of several small units arriving with a time delay or similar. Enforcer also has uses during bomb situations, in which enforcer is the perfect transport for a disarmed bomb or a bomb that needs to be detonated in a safe area.
  144.
  145. Enforcer can be authorized by SRU Sergeant or above.
  146. May be authorized by SRU Corporal or above in the following situations -
  147. - Bomb situation,
  148. - Immediate request from high-ranked Executive official (President, Vice President, LS Mayor),
  149. - High-risk suspect transport (someone who is to be put in DoC for maximum time).
  150.
  151. 3. SRU Guidelines, Rules
  152.
  153. 3.1 Rules
  154. Use common sense, if you're unsure about something - ask your supervisor.
  155. Follow all LSPD rules and procedures at the highest standard, we're the elite - we must convince everyone that we indeed are what we claim to be.
  156. While on normal patrol, your badge (( /badge )) must be visible at all times.
  157. Your SRU patrol vehicle should be colored in the proper SRU colors (( /colorcar 79 - blue )).
  158. The chain of command must be followed at all times, insubordination is not tolerated.
  159. Follow force matrix at all times, having heavy weapons doesn't mean you should use them randomly.
  160. Tear gas must not be randomly used without a proper cause. Proper cause will be considered an emergency situation with large amount of hostiles, 11-99, providing cover and other tactical uses of tear gas, may also be used in violent demonstrations or riots.
  161. Do not use vehicles for SRU patrol that are not written under section 2.3, if you have a vehicle to recommend to the permitted list - contact your supervisor.
  162. While on active SRU patrol, you need to be in the appropriate radio frequency (( 255.000KHz (Special Response Unit) channel )), unless you have a valid reason to not be there, such as a supervisor wishing to talk with you privately etc.
  163. You must always pay attention to the secondary and department radio frequencies (( /r and /d )), they are just as important as the primary radio frequency and the responsiveness on those radio frequencies is at an unacceptable level.
  164. Stay cool, stay SRU.
  165.
  166. 3.2 Guidelines
  167. It's not required for your badge to display your full name, you may request a new badge which only shows your rank, division and badge number - which protects your privacy and prevents you from being hunted off-duty or similar.
  168. During patrol or normal SRU tasks, you may have your face covered. Normally the face is covered by the mouth cover attached to the standard SRU uniform, using gas mask during required situations or specialized goggles is also permitted.
  169. Always maximize your efficiency as much as you can, SRU must be on the top at all times and not at any point are we allowed to be at a lower standard than a normal patrol officer, unless that patrol officer has exceptional skills, in which case he's a prospect to the SRU team.
  170. Our division's public image must be good, if you have an interview with SANews - try to give the good side of the division, do not, under any circumstances, discourage civilians from co-operating with SRU or joining the LSPD to become a part of our elite team.
  171. Always remember that we're part of the LSPD, we must abide by the same motto, which is "to serve and protect" - we are not here to kill everyone off, although it does usually end up like that, but you should try to immobilize and disable, instead of killing, a suspect.
  172. You are allowed to have your badge off (( /badge )) while in a vehicle during joint operations with the Detective's Bureau or SRU operations in which it's needed or required to succeed. Tazing, arresting etc. without badge on is not allowed.
