BACKGROUND:
   GUI-YING or more known as GYURI is the oldest out of her siblings. she has a little sister whom was also in the girl group. the two grew up in suzhou along with her aunt. their parents were both teachers and the three often passed time at their backyard with their aunt. while growing up, gyuri had found herself loving to do gardening and baking with her aunt. upon reaching the age of nine, the girl was suddenly pulled into the entertainment life when she was given a chance at acting. she accepted. at first it was just small roles and side characters but soon would sometimes get the main role at some dramas. the girl stopped when she was fifteen because of health issues and also because she and her family were moving to korea. while being in recovery, the girl found herself watching people performing on the tv. it caught her interest and something sparked in her. she told her parents about it and how she aspire to be just like the idols she had always watched. as soon as she was given the green light, she and her sister auditioned for jyp and was accepted.
